My mpc live 2 wont boot most the time, sometimes it takes over an hour. My internal drive when it is messing up gets relisted as a bunch of numbers and letters "ef90011nh" while the "internal" drive only has 1000mb. So somehow its splitting the internal sd card with the internal rom drive. Im assuming my internal sd card was misformatted or a chinese dud. Id like to try this but it will ruin my warranty. I think ill just return it for another unit
In some way new MPC architecture is the same that Steamdeck, Switch, Lattepanda, Android phones and other SBCs use. So there is something called EMMC drive, which is like boot drive for whole underlying system (linux), and then there is removable drive. If EMMC drive is corrupted you might be in big trouble, though I think there is some sort of app/script that will reformat/rebuild EMMC available from AKAI. Without removable internal drive, MPC takes SO DAMN LONG TO LOAD. So if you'd reformat internal drive it could help you, but you might loose: Synth content. Not a problem really Demo content and recent screen. This one I miss a lot Factory sounds and content. Might be pretty big loss, but depends on you I think you should stick to warranty if its still valid, if its 2nd hand old unit, you might experiment with it. It's actually not that easy to destroy your MPC. You should contact AKAI and ask them for tools like scripts etc.
@@micindir4213 Thanks for the video. Can you tell me where to get the factory image or content? I'd like to install a 64GB internal, but I don't know how to put everything back on it again. I use a lot of the factory samples like drums and such, so having a fully empty drive would be pretty bad for me. Can I copy it directly from the old SD card in Windows? Thanks in advance!
You can try. But you might loose demo/recent screen. Also, managing internal drive is almost impossible (only through slow ssh protocol) , so it's probably going to be something that you don't change (like expansions).
thanks this helped me to take the leap and try it my whole card was corrupted from day 1. I got 256gb now
Крутий кастом, ти пробував картки більших розмірів ніж на 32гб?
Не було поки такої. Думаю спрацює 100%

👏
hi, can anyone tell me what folders are inside the internal sd card of the mpc live? and what's inside the folders?
It's factory content. The Vault, Demos, Clips, etc. All these icons you see in browser menu are routed to internal drive
