    Very rare stock footage of Orville Wright, preparing to pilot his airplane at Le Mans, France on September 21st, 1908 for heads of state of France, Spain, and England. The plane weighed 750 pounds, and the two propellors were driven by a 12 hp motor. Orville topped his own world record that day, ascending to 200 feet at a speed of 34 mph.

    That's Wilbur Wright. Orville was getting ready to perform his first public flights in Washington DC about this time. Wilbur is the one without a mustache and started wearing leather jackets once in France.
