    Eric you are a genius! I have been struggling with driver for 2 years now and iron play was fine. I have immediately cured my getting ahead of the ball with driver by following this lesson and the ball goes pretty straight as well. Game changer! Thanks so much Eric.

    Thanks for another crystal clear idea on how to use your shoulders through irons and woods swings. Hips forward yet head back with woods will certainly help from beating the ball into the ground off the Tee. Enjoy a great Holiday week Eric. Be good-Russ

    Perfect (meaning relatable ) lesson Eric! Never truly understood the movement difference between driver and iron. Driver good, iron bad, or vice versa. Fat shots were all too frequent. My new montra, lead shoulder leading , trail shoulder down and under. Thank you

    Hi Eric. big fan of yours. I love about you passionate in helping people out on the course. recently I have been playing at some cheaper course but I've come into some driver off tee boxes issue. How to hit driver when there's side slope on the tee box, like ball above feet and below? and what should I do when there's a slight downhill on the tee boxes, too? thanks in advance

      Hey Matt! Yeah I have had some of that growing up as well...probably too long of an answer for me to adequately answer here via text. I also would need to see your swing and know your ball flight tendencies to give specifics.

    Great tips Eric, what is the takeaway feels for driver? I hit my driver ok, but while trying to keep a wide arc I’m nearly certain I’m not keeping everything connected and it’s more my arms separate from my body if that makes sense. Cheers

    E, thanks for the vid...recent round my iron play was solid compression, but all of my drives were low-flighted which surprised me since the driver range session had good ball flight height. Maybe this is my ah moment??

    About the same for 3wood? Should we adjust accordingly for 3,4 hybrids or hit like Irons? THANKS. I'm an Iron player. Don't even have a driver out of fear. I plan on getting one. LOL. Just getting back into the game, didn't want to start with past trauma...

      I was going to ask the same question regarding the fairway woods. Good question. Also this is a helpful video. I am a massive chunker and often exaggerate my sway forward to avoid the eventual fat shot. This is helping me already at the range today.

    • @benjaminberan7645
      @benjaminberan7645 10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you certainly want to play your hybrids and fairway woods more like irons and hit them with a slight descending blow.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  10 месяцев назад +2

      Good question.
      This answer in terms of what you should FEEL.......will NOT......be the same for everyone.
      I ask someone who asks this how they currently hit their fairway woods?
      If shitty....too low, bad contact, short, pulls/ fades I would go more toward the driver move.
      If opposite more toward irons
      of course there is SOME down like irons.....but much LESS than say an 8 iron
      So the lead shoulder works about smack dab in the middle of the two
      Fairway woods details here if you want...trackman stuff about 1/2 way....older vid but still applies
