NVIDIA just made GeForce NOW support for Chromebooks an official thing and we're still testing things out to get our heads around all the awesomeness that is playing AAA titles we already own seamlessly on a Chromebook with all the other players you expect to see online. Was that a subtle dig at Stadia? Sure, but it is fair. Stadia still struggles mightily with having the games many users want and the user base online games demand. I love the service, but those missing pieces are a tough hurdle to maneuver.
In sharp contrast, GeForce NOW has over 650 titles that many users already own and the fact that they are streaming from a standard PC means the crowds are already there and ready for you to log in and challenge. None of that has mattered for Chromebook users up until now, however, since there's been no official way to use the service on Chrome OS. That all changed when NVIDIA made browser-based support for GeForce NOW available on Chromebooks. Again, all the players and titles in the world would be worthless if the gameplay was garbage, but that thankfully isn't the case. Not even a little bit.

I've used it on my pixelbook go, it is brilliant. Seriously underrated. I just wished more publishers put their games there
just wait until 5G is more widespread
the steam partnership should help But a lot of game removal were pure bullshit, nvidia just offer a cloud pc to game ....
It's not working on mine today. It worked all day and night yesterday but today it just keeps taking me to the membership subscription page on my pixelbook go. I'm already a founders member. I don't know what to do

glitchy os ;)
I had to rewind the video, lol.
lol, he says 'if I can type' xD
I know
He did say that
Tried it on my Chromebook yesterday & amazed how well it works. I've too used Stadia in the past & lots of lag & some crashing too. With GForceNow it actually does feel like i'm playing directly from my laptop. Been doing some Fortnite & Dead By Daylight and couldn't be anymore impressed. As someone whos played console for years, this is a nice taste of PC gaming for me. Nice video btw! :)

Now I can unsee it thx
not really

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well time to play in school 😂
Same here my man me and my friend is going to play cs go in lessons XD
Nullified Block does your csgo have lag?
Yeah I just found out about this a couple weeks ago. This is kinda crazy.
we can?
Robert Cosey well my school doesn’t have it blocked
Imagine your friends gathering around your computer to see you playing cod on a chrome book lol
hahahah
Sadly you can’t 😩
I play fortnite on it but sadly there is no cod😫😫
@@heberlopez4906 how do you play fortnite on it
@@Trilicz.youtube you can watch a tutorial on youtube or just type in geforce now in your browser click on the geforce link create a account then go on a game you wanna play then there would be instructions telling you what to do after
Omg....I have just tried this on my HP £200 chromebook.....its amazing .
We have a fast internet connection so it works fabulous.
I was sceptical at first on how games would lool and how response that they would be ...but wow....no WOW...nvidia have smashed this out of the ball park.
I was expecting well a bit of a laggy jittery gaming experience as I only have a basic lvl entry chrome book...but oh my gosh I was blown away .
Thank you for the heads up Buddy massively THANK YOU 👍🌟👍🌟👍🌟👍
Me too my internet is good just now my pc

Yt Yt umm ur password is wrong?
This looks very crispy. Had I not have stadia, this would be an option mainly because of playing games from steam to stream. I would like to see a comparison with this vs stadia to see the differences.
I've used both and gotta say Nvidia just seem to have done it perfectly , absolutely no lag of any sort, no screen tearing nothing. it really does just feel like you're playing it locally. They've got lots of decent games too and big ones being added all the time, even hyperscape was added on release day.
Fizzer yes GeForce now is great
Time to see if content keeper blocked nvidia
The fun thing is that linux users also benefit from this and can use geforce now by changing the user agent on the browser to pretend it's running chrome os
I love how it doesn’t require you to download the game
Same I only use it for that reason so I can keep my Call of Duty's
Yeah also your pfp fits your reaction
@@Chopz24 do you have to pay?
@@plenarix no free
@@plenarix It’s not entirely free. To play for longer on GeForce now you need to pay a subscription. I think the limit for the free subscription is 1 hour. You also have to pay for the games so your not going to play a game like euro truck simulator 2 on GeForce now without paying for it via steam. Games like Fortnite is free to play on GeForce now though since Fortnite is a free to play game.
Now i can play the snake game on my school laptop without detonating a bomb
Ha what

I've really enjoyed Stadia, but it's nice to see other services.
Would you recommend stadia , Is it good or just laggy since I have a pretty bad connection 8mb/s...yes that bad , anyways I can run 720p on GeForce but was wondering about stadia
@@lewlesslake I have the ASUS flip c302 and I could run Destiny 2 decently on stadia but not really other games very well. Its only an m3 and 4gb ram so I'm not surprised. Just got GeForce and it runs destiny 2 and many other games with a lot more selection so much faster not to mention half the price. I would recommend GeForce.
@@lewlesslake Improve your internet not only for gaming but for day to day life it would be so easy and good experience
@@jerisii5198 well i really would do that but since i live a third world country , Intenet bills are quite expensive.
Lol Nividia has been here
Nvidia Geforce Now is a good streaming platform and the response time is almost near perfect. There are times where you might encounter lag but for me it just lowers the quality and it still runs nicely and even if you do get lag it doesn’t lag as much
$5 a month is basically a dollar a week. Who wouldn't?

you can also just use it for free
About a month ago I bought a pc. Well at this point now I don’t have a reason to oof. Like I wanna try it anyway lol just for fun

It's great!
I was playing League of Legends with 68 - 120 fps off my phone's hotspot in my truck.
Oh, and I didn't have to download the game or install a bunch of patches for all the new Champions since the last time I played 4 years ago.

Nvidia has had a game streaming service for years, it launched with the Nvidia Shield Tablet and set-top box. I remember being impressed by it when I bought the tablet in 2014. It's why I thought Stadia had such weird hype.
I use it on my chromebook on the browser with fortnite I works perfeclty!
Hey thanks ks for the video what are your chromebooks specs
Good overview. I thought I had seen something that Geforce Now was limited in what CPU's it would work on. I had is running on my Duet last night without issue. Is there a way to wirelessly pair a Stadia controller to a Chromebook like you did the X-Box controller? I am looking to use it with nVidia Geforce Now without needing to connect it with a cable.
The Stadia controller connects directly to wifi to work wirelessly with Stadia. It does not connect to the chromebook via Bluetooth, like the XB1 controller. In other words, unless GeForce implements an over wifi interface, the stadia controller will not work.
Wait what laptop do we need does it matter what chrome book.
What chromebook are you using? Is the processor i3 or i5?
I think it’s an i3 chrome book
what chromebook are you using in the video?
what chromebook is that by the way ?
Looks like a Lenovo. Not sure what model.
I believe it's the Lenovo Flex 5. He said it was the "$400 model" so that makes it a 10th gen Core i3 with 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage (it's the one I also have).
trash book bend flex 0

Works great on my macbook! I was debating over the summer if I should get a gaming laptop (I don't even play a lot of games, just wanted the option to play) or a MacBook which I've wanted for years and is useful for school and work. went with the mac and was slightly disappointed about the lack of gaming but again, didn't bother me that much because I'm not a gamer. when I discovered geforce NOW it blew my freaking mind and now Im so glad i never got the gaming laptop!!!
Could you please do a GFN vs Stadia vs xCloud comparison?
Jacob Chacko GFN is better. The only problem is that it has little input lag on controller
Shadow is better then all of them

They have to use a streaming platform so that there checkbooks can actually kinda work...
Tried to play some of my Steam games yesterday and I have to install them in order to work. Sorry but Stadia has spoiled me. Don't want to wait to install, want to click and play. Thought that was the whole point of cloud gaming?
what is the Chromebook that you are using in the video plz answer me

How did you pair the xbox controller? Nice vid btw
The intro logo looks alot like @mkbhd tech review intro
It works on a school Chromebook but can i get into trouble if they find out that im using Nvidia GeForce

Quick tip if your school blocks certain websites you can try download thing extension leaf browser and it shows up as a app in the search menu and you can use it for anything literally anything
I love it I was playing destiny 2 at 60 FPS hightest settngs my chrome book can’t even run 1080p with out lagging on youtube
bro same here with tf2 and black squad
I've had Geforce Now for a couple months in Free Mode but after I purchased a Samsung Chromebook (fiesta Red, of course) with the i5 processor, I went over and tried the Program, I was surprised it worked so well. I got a couple games free and purchased a couple. I was very happy with the performance. I looked around and found Jedi Fallen Order on sale from steam and ordered. I can't find it on my list of games I own. Any Ideas where it is?
ok NOW I really NEED a Chromebook
Why...? It’s technically possible to do this on a proper computer is it not?
Yes you just need a good internet to play
I know that there are some powerful chromebooks out there. I know you mentioned that you filmed this and tested it on some budget devices. Is there any reason this wouldn't work on an i7 surface? I've always wanted to do cloud gaming but have always been skeptical because of the lacking onboard graphics capability.
It has nothing to do with your specs only your wifi!
Lol using a Google device to use geforce now while Stadia is Google's streaming service
Stadia doesn't have fortnite, and it doesn't seem like they're going to add it to their library anytime soon.
When u play the game, will it take all your storage or will the servers do all the work for you? I have a windows 10 laptop and I wanna try the web browser version.
This is a huge breakthrough for Chromebooks! This was a big argument against Chromebooks, so I can only see a boost in sales
It just says verify then I go onto my iPad and verify then it keeps saying NVIDIA web portal
Is there anyway I can turn of it taking images after every kill and stuff like that
yes, press ctrl g and then go to setting and then go to highlights and you could choose what to turn off and to keep on
Spent the morning playing Subnautica Below Zero via Steam on Geforce Now on my Lenovo Yoga C630 - One or two slight graphical bog-downs, but for $5/mo or even free it's a total no-brainer.

You might not respond but how do you connect your controller to GeForce Now
Go to you computers blue Tooth and try to connect your controller not all controllers are supported
Stadia has actually been kicking ass lately. I'm loving. I happily use both of these services, but stadia is way better, more polished, more robust service. I'll choose Stadia over GFN any time a game exists on both.
Dude stadia you need android 9 but geforce you need android 5
@@LoomGaming No it doesn't. That is recommended, but it's not necessary. I've been using Stadia on 4-5 year old devices that has long since stopped getting updates years ago and Stadia plays just fine.
What internet provider do you use?
Bruh imagine this with a LAN adapter
Yeah the latency is gonna be really low with LAN cable it's gonna be awesome
The only problem i found from my own experience are frame drops but most of the time only when playing fortnite, they drop to 30 or below and I've tried everything to solve it, reducing graphics ,limiting fps , etc. Apart from that it's extremely underrated and whorths to use it if you don't have a good pc
Nice Video , Geoforce Now is actually amazing 👏
How long does it take for a game to load? Is it normal to wait an hour for loading?
hey thanks, pls try the stadia controller :o)
Ive litterally been using my chromebook for gaming for the past month, and it been great. I used to play on a dell 2011 for the past year cause i cant afford anything else. It been nice to have more then 5 fps when i play
It’s says even ai can’t open this page for me
It's awesome! I have a New Chromebook and I was deprived of many games because of the inability to download stuff from online like a Windows pc. After using GeForce go I got 75 fps on fortnite and many other games. Waiting for valorant tho
i have no issues with keyboard and mouse on stadia
What type of laptop is that it looks amazing
Him not doing anything is stressing me out
what chromebook are you using in this video?
This entire thing stunk like and advertisement to me, then I noticed that affiliate link to the Geforce now sign up page and it made sense. While Geforce Now is becoming something awesome it has a way to go yet. And for all this talk about game selection anyone who uses the service knows it's largely games no ones playing.
What laptop are u using?
I gotta get back to using a chromebook!
I know that the video was uploaded a long time ago. Just wanna ask if you can use the extra buttons on the mouse in GeForce now. Like your videos.

When I saw this video, I FREAKED OUT! I have been waiting for this for so long on my chromebook and now it’s finally here! I just played two full sessions of fortnite on the free version. I honestly don’t see why you would buy the full version, because I got access to a rig with a couple seconds both times, and when my hour long session was up, I just hopped into a new one!
I thought that until the pandemic started and i needed to wait 3 hours for playing.

“Takes a few minutes to load”... Stadia takes 5 seconds and works perfectly for me
amen - why people hate on stadia is beyond me, we should be rooting for it to succeed not fail!
the slowest part of using GFN for me is trying to decide which of the 196 supported games in my library i want to play. im guessing thats only 5 seconds for stadia users, too...
@@radiobabylon lol touché
not really my point though, we should support the idea of Stadia AND all the others. I hope they get more titles. let me know when you beat all those 196 games btw.
Stadia is pushing 100 at this point.
Yeah I really hope Nvidia figures out some way to circumvent the virtual pc boot up time (in lack of knowing what to call it). I'm not hating. But for someone who doesn't game all day every day Stadia wins on that technicality... Really glad that they started enabling browser access though!
Hey I know this is much later than this was posted but I’m getting a chrome book tomorrow and wanted to know something. Is GeForce now better on the chrome browser or on the android app? Mine can download android apps and I’m not sure which will be better

Going to play Cyberpunk 2077 using Geforce Now! Just found out GOG will support it on launch! It may not work well on my GTX 1050 4GB (laptop version) and our bar has just temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but this should suffice until a new PC can be purchased. Hopefully 100 mbps will be enough.
