They go in from the side, you should be able to see existing holes that line up with the metal bars. The metal bars that slide into the chassis should have nuts welded on
@@cookieuk1278 if you look at about 4min 50sec you can see the welded nut on the end of the arm, the nearest to the rear is a normal nut and you can get a spanner in.
Were did you buy the tow bar from and how much was it please ?
Did you use the genuine Ford towbar wiring kit? Is it a simple plug in job?
Have you fitted the wiring yet?

it was a pulled from a salvage car so not sure, but they all follow a similar fitting process

2014 but I also had a 2004 and it was the same
