Agreed. Just the perfect amount of over the top. Everything after is just silly. Not bad per se, but just too silly. I knew they went off the deep end in the beginning of the last movie where they had a procedure for fixing kongs teeth in 5 minutes

People tend to forget just how OP Mothra actually is: If you read the newspaper credits, you see the TWO separate Mothra eggs washed ashore in China. That basically means Mothra can heal her allies, kill her enemies via a poisonous stinger AND repeatedly resurrect herself (which basically means she's immortal). She's the Monsterverse equivalent of The Highlander.
Mothra can also kill her enemies with sonic scream
Seeing Rodan King Ghidorah and Mothra in this movie made me fangirling as hell lmao

@@JoshuaG Unfortunately not, Godzilla killed most of the other titans between KotM and GVK.. Apex blasting the Mecha Alpha sound was driving him crazy because he couldn't find it, and he killed most of the others in a rampage over the course of about three years. Rodan, Methusula and Scylla are definitely among the ones killed as shown in the cage-match style opening to GVK. He kills Scylla for a different reason though.

@@JoshuaG I always thought he was a bitch lol, he just follows whoever it looks like is gonna win. He's a lot like Wormtail from Harry Potter. I loved his design, physical and sound-wise though.
I think something cool that isn’t mentioned in the movie is Kong actually heard Ghidorah’s call and chose to flat out ignore him, the activity from skull island was the skull crawlers trying to leave and Kong was stopping them. Godzilla and Kong are basically the jocks of the group, and I love knowing Mothra never really “dies” I think one of the first things she does is lay an egg so she can be reincarnated.
Okay but could kong even do? Swim through the Pacific Ocean?

Whats crazy is that serizawa goes down to help godzilla in this film and in the original serizawa goes down to stop him.
What's equally fitting is that the original Oxygen Destroyer was created by Dr Serizawa back in the 1954 film. So, symbolically, you could argue that this Dr. Serizawa died fixing the original one's mistake.

Also the military having access to making their own oxygen destoyer was serizawa’s wrost fear in the original 1954. That was why in the orignal 1954 he died along with godzilla when the oxygen destoyer activated so no one else can use that as weapon and only he knew how to make one. If he did made it out ,the government would forced him to share how he made the oxygen destoyer leading to using more mass weapons

I love that "Bow down or die" look Godzilla gives Rodan as the other Titans gather around him after delivering the kill shot on the last Ghidorah head with his Atomic Breath. Also, I LOVE that they recycled the Toho Studios Godzilla theme music and roars for this movie. And the male soldier that said "I think it's got somethin' to do with his goddamn head growin' back." is O'Shea Jackson Jr., the son of rapper/actor Ice Cube.
You kind of have to have human characters in this type of franchise, that’s kind of the point to why they’re considered Kaiju. This movie was a great balance between human characters and kaiju monsters.
I personally love skull island movie I’ve been a long fan since. I was a kid BUT those shots of Rodan and Ghidorah are absolutely insane, and my favorite has to be Ghidorah behind the cross beautiful shot. 18:17

With all that he STILL couldn’t get that Gorilla* to bow down and before you try it was literally confirmed. Also cant forget the fact he heard Ghidorah’s call and unlike the rest he flat our ignored him, just like Godzilla he is considered an alph Titian he even has ignored Godzilla’s call.

11:20 it’s not lightning while it may look like lightning it’s actually a form of condensed gravity which means those soldiers weren’t burned to death but were actually crushed to death

Great reaction, Mothra will return, she's kinda immortal, and she is a force, not some delicate flower, love when she shoves Ghidorah into the building, and it surprises him, one head looks back, like who shoved me, and when she hits Rodan off her when he first had her pinned against the building, and again after she stabs his ass, and again, you know, your done, get the hell off me,..like Kong in Godzilla vs Kong, when Kong grabs that ship firing on him, crushes it in his hand, then just drops it like you would after you crumple some paper and just toss it, like it's nothing, she's not queen of the monsters for nothing,..she is a boss, and do check out the old movies, her and Godzilla do go a few rounds, I know Rodan could kick up some wind, but so can she, and I think more powerful, she was able to knock Godzilla on his ass,..do keep going, ya'll are awesome,..Godspeed, Peace ✌
