Its so emotional arriving in Florida for us too Michael! I teared up watching because everytime we go I know we will have to leave . Not knowing when we will be back.
It really just makes me want to strive more towards my dreams.
Life right now for us has really sucker punched us ( me as an individual) But I will just take all that emotions and put towards my dreams.
Yes... please dont drive all night ever again.
So glad everything is doing so awesome for you all.
You are such an example of what a good human being is and should be. I thank you every day for you who are. I thank your parents for bringing up such an upstanding man.
    💜💜💜

When my family sees we are getting to Orlando at 9:30am, we are immediately thinking about what we can accomplish in the parks as soon as we get there. But you don't have to worry about that anymore! I see why you flew every trip! Absolutely the right move for you now.
I too remember the long drives of my childhood. I don't miss them a bit. It's a large reason I want to fly everywhere. So happy for you guys!

I moved to Florida from Connecticut and did a very similar drive, but with our rental truck. It was exhausting emotionally and physically. But I remember when I got very emotional about the move away from everyone back home, my best friend said, 'nothing has to be forever. you can always visit and you can always move back.' Thinking that way helped me a lot! :)

When i was a Toddler we drove to Disney Every trip!!! I HATED it!! I slept most of the way!! I think ;). We started flying when I was 5. We then drove to Florida for our Honeymoon in 2011. My hubby and I took turns DRIVING. Stayed at AKL. It was a 10.5hr drive from New Orleans

Great vlog guys! Brings back a lot of memories of when we moved five years ago from Michigan. We actually cut across Ohio and West Virginian and took 95 down the east coast along your same route (instead of 75). We planned on driving it in 2 days, but ended up stopping a 2nd night in Northern Florida. That was the longest drive we ever made! Love seeing your adventure and you'll love reliving it in the future! Have a wonderful Thursday!

This video and the comments reminded me of the trip to San Diego I took with my sister. It wasn't quite that long a drive, only 9 hours, but I offered constantly to help with the drive and she refused, even during the winding part that tends to make her feel a little sick. To this day I don't understand why she didn't want help but I guess she and Michael are cut from the cloth haha

The trick to driving for a long move is to add in some sight seeing. I drove from Anchorage Alaska to Boston Massachusetts when i moved back home. Me and my dog, the U haul truck and the car towed behind. The country was beautiful and i was able to see so much along the way 🙂. So haapy you made the right decision and love your videos!!!

Being from Maryland and a APassholer, when I drive we usually leave after 6 pm and drive till midnight and stay somewhere in NC. Get a good night rest with 6-8 hours of driving left. And it's so much easier with traffic and your eyes driving in daylight.

Missing family is difficult though. We left our home state and family toove to the MidWest, 4+1/2 years ago and talk about going back constantly due to missing everyone. Michael back in 2012 we left MD at midnight and drove straight through. It was HORRIBLE. I will never ever do that again. I was the one driving through NC and my husband, the teen kids (at the time) were all asleep. I tried so hard to stay awake. I had to blast the AC, chew gum, blast the music. It was so bad. My husband had worked all day. I had been up all day too. We vowed to never do that again. I was SCARY sleepy. I had to finally pull over at a rest stop and my husband took over. Then we were exhausted when we got to Disney. We have driven a few times over the years but we either stopped in SC or we left in the morning when we drove straight through. There is a big difference driving straight through when you leave in the morning hours vs leaving at midnight.
