  • Lige Smart Watch not charging, flashes charging for a couple of seconds then turns off.
Suspect USB charging contacts at the back of the watch have become tarnished causing a poor connection that breaks down during charging.
As the watch was working fine and the battery had charged fine the last time it is recommended to try cleaning the contacts with alcohol or switch cleaner after FIRST checking the USB charger works fine with another device.
Video shows symptoms, then the cleaning procedure and testing.

I appreciate you! I didn't even think about this. I have trashed three smart watches that wouldn't charged and bought around half a dozen new charging cords thinking the watch had run its course or the chargers were faulty. I feel incredibly stupid now haha. As soon as I found this video this morning, I cleaned my both my watch and charger and realized for the first time how much build-up was on both. Once clean it connected instantly. Thank you!

My watch which is only 10 months old has been taking all day just to charge up to 80%. I tried to clean the contacts but it hasn't worked. So I'm just putting it down to these things being flimsy as f*ck and have to buy a new one. By the way you don't get to the point until the end of the video. Nice one.

Thanks for your feedback. Try to get the next smartwatch with larger battery capacity but still keep the back-light set to low and the timeout short to lengthen battery life.
