I am in no way say he is innocent. But to be honest, the only reason I can say that is the video. My daughter died if pneumonia with an onset of 2 hours. She was in the er the night before, the Dr told me I was being paranoid. I woke up to her dead at 8am. The bruises and damage to his insides can be many things, some of the damage will be from life saving measures, the other could be from the abuse during the treadmill incident. Again, I think he is guilty but I will say I have seen first hand how a child can seem medically stable to dead within 12 hours

We did find out later that it was brought on by toxic mold from our house. They only tested the lung tissue later because her pediatrician had pushed because a 3 year old child should not die of pneumonia with an onset on 2-3 hours. They medical examiner said if she was under 2 they would have classified her death as SIDS. I only see this guy as a monster and I am sure his abuse is what lead to his sons death. This case just tugs at me a little because without the proof of abuse, I would not find hom guilty. A child can present as medically fine and die suddenly.

I realize some of these questions are needed to establish “expert witness”, but Geeze! Once she stopped the “expert witness” questions, this lady took the ball and ran!
I’m a retired ER/Trauma RN after 30+ years - and I know a good, caring doctor when I see one. She’s been around the block a few times, and I’m sure she leaves no stone unturned when searching for a child with an infectious disease. It was quite enjoyable to hear her speak, even though the outcome for poor Cory was heinous. All you’ve got to do is watch that terrible video of “the big, dumb jock” physically throwing that little boy back on a fast-running treadmill, and the words CHILD ABUSE are blinking in bright red letters. 😢. I hope and pray they give him life without parole.🌹🙏🕊✝️🙋‍♀️

Recognize that the hospital the night before found him OK to go home. But yet the child ended up dying while in the process of a scan that gave him a seizure. So what drugs and contrast medium had been added to the tiny child and had it been a dose wrong for his size that caused the seizure? It seems not right to lay a hospital error that causes death on a father who had already been trying hard to get help for his child. I think this is a miscarriage of justice and people seem to be wanting the father to be in prison for 30 years for what most likely was a hospital error above all as the other hospital the previous night had found him ok enough to go home.

He most likely had a seizure because he was bleeding internally & his head injuries caused swelling in his brain.
