Have used Cleansol BC on oxidation. It is hard to get in this area but does a good job. It does not get rid of the brush enterally as the claim but pretty close. Great before and after on the door. Great video.

I’ve heard those verticals lines referred to as “thermal bridging”. It basically has something to do with the transfer of heat in between each stud, causing the pattern on every stud line

Thanks for the knowledge! I figured it had to do with the spaces between the studs and now I know the technical term for it. Thx 👍

Hey Ken! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it! I wanted to let you know that our RESTORE product is a fantastic leave-on/in-conditioner that does wonders on porous surfaces. It even has a UV inhibitor to protect against sun damage. It forms a protective layer that acts as a sacrificial shield. If you want to learn more about this amazing product, feel free to check out the link: www.mountainviewsoftwash.com/what-is-restore

It would seem that it is the paint that is oxidized, not the siding per se. Unlike solid vinyl siding where the vinyl is oxidizing, Hardie Board and Hardi Plank have a film finish of paint. It would be interesting to find out if paints like Benjamin Moore hold up better than the Sherwin Williams paints in your environment... Here in the the northeast I've got Hardi products on my house with Benjamin Moore paint. I just checked my records and was surprised to find it's been 18 years since I painted the house! I haven't noticed oxidation being an issue compared to dirt. Only in the past two years on the north side has "green stuff" been a problem due to lots of rain. Is Sherwin Williams "the paint" in your area?

Couple questions, is there any harm in removing oxidation? In other words, is it just a build up that needs to come off? If you remove it, is the paint underneath going to break down further and can you protect that? Also, is oxidation always a tan color? I saw a green roof oxidized and it went from a tan color back to its original green.

In this case the customer didn't want to spend the money to have the home repainted. So we just removed the oxidation to appease the HOA. Came out good 👍
