Good video. As a lifelong Nirvana fan, you did a good job. Just to clarify, the chorus that Kurt used was the EHX Small Clone. He also switched to the DS-2 after the old DS-1 was off the market but also used a SansAmp most prominently. One more pedal, the Echoflanger and/or Polychorus was employed for the wild feedback in the song Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, but those two would have blown the budget out of the water if you had either. I have a Caline modulation pedal that mimics it to a degree, called the Mariana, along with the DS-1 and Small Clone. Sorry for the novel! I get super passionate, as I can tell you both do! 😁

I think the Squier bullet/sonic Mustang or a Squier HH Jaguar would be closer to the look and sound of Nirvana while still being well within budget. The signature Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar, Mustang, and Jag-Stang are all 24" scale length, so something in the short-scale offset department would be where I'd start with the guitar.

all of the gear used in these videos is from what we have in the store when we film. we'd have absolutely looked at a Squier Jag and such if we had one. We're also focused on the sound of the artist not necessarily the look.
