The idea of the Federation was noble truly, but from a human perspective they were the species with most to gain with the technological advantages of the other species - faster vessels, better defences like shields and phaser technology, better sensors, humanity had the benefit of being able to resolve isses and put aside differences as their advantage and their determination to keep improving themselves and surprising all species of the founing members of the Federation in one way or another gaining their respect, but thats just my thoughts, humanity when it came to technology were the weakest, I am sure if they werent held back by a number of factors it may have been better but sadly from what we see in Enterprise they were vastly outmatched with everything, even with improvements later on, just my thoughts that is.
I can see that the Andorians may also have had their pride bruised a little being offered the opportunity that the Vulcans had for their own Constitution class, given their species are a bit more mirilatistic than the Vulcans and the sort of mission paramaters for the constitution class, it makes sense for them to be concerned in a way of defence and security of Federation territory, given how the races were brought together in the first place, especially the Andorians and Vulcans during the Xindi war - we didnt see many vulcan assists in that era only Shran really, I could be wrong though but I definitely remember seeing more of Shran and his ship than we did of any Vulcan cruisers.
Besides utilising the technology from the different races would be challenging and the constitution would be an ideal test bed for that, while other classes were made for more specific jobs in the Federation fleet as a co existence fleet to incorporate the species while each species has their own defence forces anyway, except humanity whose fleet was Starfleet from the get go wasnt it?
As for the fleet museum, I would love to see what ships are in that
Ah ha! Here it is ;) And so in conclusion you loved the video and the story I've come up with to tie together all Beta Canon?
When will you do Prodigy?
Mad Rabbit is correct, ALSO, I have to wait to have an actual model to use to make a video for it :P
Excellent episode pinkskin.
What a load of absolute crap!! Just kidding, great episode. In my FASA Fleet, I had 1 Loknar and 3 Larsons. The two classes complemented so well that I didn't need any other additional ships.
