Andorians are our true first friends they actually did more to help Earth then did Valcans did so giving the Andorians there own ship i feel is only just and honorable because with out them warp 5 and winning the first klingon war and the romulan war would not have been possible . =)

Warp 5 was already possible - it was in the NX class. Vulcans had Warp 7 at that time also. However, indeed the romulan war would not have been won without andorians.

Our records puts the Loknar in the FASA Trek universe but for fun I do wonder if it was based solely on the NX or if the "Freedom" Class vessels had some part in that too as well if the early kelvin timeline shared an identical history and aesthetic with the primary timeline? There are many, many, vessels across even this multiverse we found and it's pleasing to see some lesser known still being worked into others. I honestly believe that the federation decommissions ships far too quickly. There's 1 episode where the Enterprise D ( the flagship of the federation) poses as a derelict ship in a scrap yard to wait for pirates. I mean seriously! That's like putting Airforce 1 or a Tesla pickup in a junkyard. JUST AN EXAMPLE! It sticks out like a sore thumb. But they considered it normal for their most advanced starship to be in a scrap yard. Are they just scrapping galaxy classes for fun. Or the pirates must not be very smart. Plus why scrap ships at all? Even outdated ships can be used for something. Training maybe, Supply ships, evacuation ships, EXAMPLE, the world still uses propeller driven aircraft in the jet age. 🤔

It’s interesting to reflect on the notion of “human-centric” values being perhaps dominant in the early Federation. It’s also compelling to think about a starship crew that has a minority of humans. I understand from a production standpoint why humans are featured most often. That being said, it would be entertaining to have a television series depicting a Starfleet ship that is mostly crewed with aliens and a minority of humans. Potentially humorous & insightful observations.

I'm not sure that the all one species crew thing was a failure since we see at least one ship where that is the case during DS9 - the USS T'Kumbra.

Wonderful work! Love it and thank you. Question: I thought I recall the torps were 3 forward, 1 aft? Again, thanks!

I wonder what Andoria say to the Luna class that succeeded where it failed as a multi species crew

Excellent story. If only CBS could have done stuff like this instead of Discovery. Might I suggest the Okinawa Class from the Starfleet Command game as a good segue into the TMP era FASA ships?

I've often wondered why we didn't see more andorians in tng. I remember them being more common in tos the the animated show.

Well off the top of my head, an Andorian was seen in the TNG Episode The Offspring. It was one of Lal's options!

The idea of the Federation was noble truly, but from a human perspective they were the species with most to gain with the technological advantages of the other species - faster vessels, better defences like shields and phaser technology, better sensors, humanity had the benefit of being able to resolve isses and put aside differences as their advantage and their determination to keep improving themselves and surprising all species of the founing members of the Federation in one way or another gaining their respect, but thats just my thoughts, humanity when it came to technology were the weakest, I am sure if they werent held back by a number of factors it may have been better but sadly from what we see in Enterprise they were vastly outmatched with everything, even with improvements later on, just my thoughts that is.
I can see that the Andorians may also have had their pride bruised a little being offered the opportunity that the Vulcans had for their own Constitution class, given their species are a bit more mirilatistic than the Vulcans and the sort of mission paramaters for the constitution class, it makes sense for them to be concerned in a way of defence and security of Federation territory, given how the races were brought together in the first place, especially the Andorians and Vulcans during the Xindi war - we didnt see many vulcan assists in that era only Shran really, I could be wrong though but I definitely remember seeing more of Shran and his ship than we did of any Vulcan cruisers.
Besides utilising the technology from the different races would be challenging and the constitution would be an ideal test bed for that, while other classes were made for more specific jobs in the Federation fleet as a co existence fleet to incorporate the species while each species has their own defence forces anyway, except humanity whose fleet was Starfleet from the get go wasnt it?
As for the fleet museum, I would love to see what ships are in that

What a load of absolute crap!! Just kidding, great episode. In my FASA Fleet, I had 1 Loknar and 3 Larsons. The two classes complemented so well that I didn't need any other additional ships.
