  • The number of challenges reported to the American Library Association in 2021 regarding funding and censorship at public libraries was more than double the annual average, a trend that is making its way into statehouses. NBC News' Julie Tsirkin visited Lawrence County, Kentucky to see how new state legislation could strip the library of reliable funding and resources for community members.

The only way to do that is to privatize them. The moment we funded them with money stolen from the people, we gave up the right to polically neutral libraries.
There are things neither of us want to pay for.
That will always extend unto publicly funded buildings and organizations.
Plus, it would be 100x cheaper to just buy devises and provide internet to people.

So, do you want to pay to have the fire department show up at your house? You have it all backwards anyway. Our taxes end up bailing out companies that pay little to no taxes. Imagine that, people going to the library to read on treatments to help radioactive victims but the government says "no, you can't learn everything." Imagine that happening here in America.
