Well explained! Thanks!
Why we have to choose 1 mm flatter BC in SCL ?
✓To cover something you need bigger than the thing.
✓For proper movement of the lens.
✓For better movement of tear film.
Thank you 🙏

Hi, we should see the K value from simK, posterior axial curvature or anterior axial curvature zones?
K reading of Anterior curvature....
Because we are going to fit contact lens on anterior corner not on posterior cornea.
Sir A scan pr video bnao
Here is Playlist of Biometry: ruclips.net/p/PLslkRTVi8_xeRM6GnivjSBwATyCU5r1-K
Sir why we add 1 to the avrage k
To sit on cornea properly we have to choose CL having more curvature then the cornea. If we use same curvature of cornea CL won't fit on cornea. Initially we start with 0.6 - 1 mm flatter base curve but final outcome may be less or more than 1mm...
@@optometry-with-samir thq so much sir for answ my ques. I searched this ques everywhere but could not find the answ.
Sir finally why we chose 1 mm?
It's not final. For trial lens we start with 1mm flatter base curve. After assessment of fitting it may change. But most of the time 1 mm flatter works well.
Thank you,
Samir Sutradhar.
Sir thank. is this RGP or softcontact-lens?
Check the title. It's for Soft CL.
Thank you,
Samir Sutradhar
Why 337.5?
Actual formula is:
(N1 - N2) x 1000/ K reading.
Here,
N1 = Refractive index of keratomerter that is 1.3375
N2= Refractive index of air that is 1
So finally it comes,
(1.3375-1) x 1000 or 337.5
