Hi Rickk 💜! This one is a pure perfect masterpiece. It is the song that started my “Pentaholic-ness” in October 2021. It never gets old and always blesses me every time I listen to it. I hope you will eventually check out Mitch’s cover of Your Power. The lyrics are very heavy, so this probably isn’t the best time, but someday. You would be uplifted by their live Joyful Joyful cover from the Evergreen Experience!!!

💗💗💗 *They are all so individually so talented, however, when put together, it is truly magical* 💗💗💗 *And although I love every one of the Pentatonix, Mitch has a special place in my heart, maybe because being one of the rarest of males voices, a counter tenor, feels so exquisite to my ears* 💗💗💗
This was a set; they weren't really in a snowy forest (and IMO whoever designed the set should be asking for a pay raise). This was released on _Evergreen,_ their 2021 Christmas album, which is why they wanted it to look snowy.
Poor Scott is the member of Pentatonix that they all (including Scott) say is the most likely to forget the lyrics, so of COURSE he had to be the one with the best range for Andrea Bocelli's part of this song, in Italian. 🤦 There's a video, "The Making of Evergreen," where you can see him studying for this. He had to memorize it by rote, and worked very hard to get the pronunciation right; I'm told by people who speak Italian that he succeeded in that endeavor, though he still has a strong American accent, as expected.
This is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful recordings Pentatonix has ever made, tied with "Run To You" for most beautiful. These are, of course, my ratings; YMMV.
Scott always hits you with that Italian. Too much talent in one group and somehow they keep getting better.

Mitch slaps hard doesn’t he? We’ve all been there. He has the face, voice and heart of an angel and every single word he sings is so clear. He always makes it look so effortless too, even live. When he sings he speaks directly to my soul. All of that said every single person in the group is insanely talented , I just wish I had a tenth of one person’s talent.

Ps. There is a video of the making of this song. The extended team built this forest indoors and production had a tiny issue with the snow volume for a short minute. The 5 of them were good natured as usual and you could tell they felt blessed that this set was built for them.

If you like this one and want more of Scott singing in other languages I would recommend 'Papaoutai' cover originally done by the belgium singer Stromae. It's in french, and scott does absolutely wonderful though the translation in french is 'where are you dad', it's basically about an absent father and the kid is worried about how they themselves will be as a parent so I totally understand if the subject of fathers is still too fresh to react to this but one day! It is also a collaboration with Lindsey Stirling. They also have another song called 'Perfume Medley' where they are singing in Japanese! And as a few others have said 'Prayers For This World' is such a beautiful song I'd love to see you react to!
Man, this past month been hard for a lot of us. April 1st, my cousin was struck and killed by 2 vehicles, 10 days before his 33rd birthday😢. The day before his funeral i found out my good friend Jason was found in his appt. Just had his funeral on monday. And there was 2 other passings i know between them. 4 deaths in 2 weeks. 2 closest to me. Its been real hard. This song gets me in my emotions too. 😭 sending you all my love and prayers! Hopefully we both can heal from this horrible month soon 🙏
Always a Pentaholic but wanted to turn you on to Avi's solo music like Change on the Rise and video of I'm only getting started. Then When I'm a Fool live at Sunset Sound or All is Well 7 layer sessions. He is totally worth a listen. He's got probably 30 or more songs almost all original. Also check out Jolene ( a version with Dolly Parton) and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies, from the ballet Nutcracker and it has NO lyrics. They won Grammys for both of these last songs ( along with one for Daft Punk, but you have reacted to that song)
