This is one of the very best monster movies ever made. Fantastic story, great acting, and some wonderful comedy by the boys. To this day, nobody has bettered it.

Still one of my favorites. To some degree the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies combined horror, comedy & a love story into a successful franchise…but that was already 15-20 years ago

Why is Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein one of the best "horror comedies" of all time? The answer is quite simply it's one of the best movies of all time. It's an all around good movie.

Sunny Sunday mornings in the 1970s. Our local channel (NYC- channel 11, WPIX) had the Abbott and Costello movie slot ; 11AM . Weekly we would tune in for "....Meets Frankenstein". If it WASN'T "...Meets Frankenstein" ---- that meant "GO OUTSIDE and PLAY". We did not even care for "...Meets the Killer", "....Invisible Man"., or even the damn " Bride of Candy Rock". NOPE. If it wasn't "...Meets Frankenstein" -- it was NOTHING at ALL> !!!!!!!!

Frankenstein is the person who created the MOnster. The monster is not Frankenstein

I get you, but he is in Universal. Son of Frankenstein hammers in the point about the monster being like the main character's brother, and Dr. Frankenstein's son. By the time they get to things like Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, the films are clearly using Frankenstein for the monster.

Well, "lejos" means "far away" in Spanish and is by no means a common name. I was expecting the pseudonym to pay off somehow during the film but it never did. Weird head scratching touch.😅
