My wand gets to the end section. But they will not allow the update for the software.

My X2 driver does not respond to connecting the wifi wand module. The lamp does not come on. Only the wifi icon is shown (not flashing). Why is this so?

I have a Hunter ICore system as I need 18 zones. I'm looking to manage irrigation system through wireless app. Does Hunter offer this option for the ICore? Or can I add the X2 wand to our existing hardware? We just spent a fortune on our landscaping and our landscaper recommended we switch from Hunter to Orbit and controller B-hyve. I'd prefer to keep Hunter but need a controller thats compatible. Thank you

Hello Jenn,
If you are looking to manage your irrigation system through a wireless app then you will have to change the current controller that you have installed. The Hunter I-Core controller does not have a device that can be added to it to make it connect to the Internet and be controlled with a wireless app. The WAND device is used on the Hunter X2 controller and would not be able to be added to the Hunter I-Core controller. Quick question? One of the prompt question was asking for the pin# after trying to pair it? Where do I get that?

The PIN number is located on the X2 controller for pairing Bluetooth.

Can you control your irrigation off site with this app? For instance if I’m at the store and I feel like watering can I pull up the app and turn on my system?

Once the WAND module is installed and connected to Wi-Fi you will be able to control your irrigation system with your app once you are off site. Adding the WAND module provides the option for Wi-Fi remote management and as long as the WAND stays connected to Wi-Fi you will be able to manage the irrigation system while you are away from the controller.

Think about adding fme/sma wifi antenna or Ethernet port.
