Oh, I'm so glad you've done this comparison video! I've been without Modern Renaissance in my collection for about a year and a half and lately I've found myself missing it from my collection. I feel like they left out too many good shades in the new 9 pan so I'm leaning toward getting the original palette. I kind of wonder if they're planning to discontinue the larger one now that the 9 pan came out. I hope that's not the case. Great vid!
If they discontinue it (which they probably won’t ever) they would probably sell every shade from it as singles tbh. There’s so many dupes tho like I don’t think you need it
I would prefer a relaunch of original sultry, rather than a mini. There are still people around the world who did not buy the orig palette back in the day - various reasons like lack of availability in their country, not into makeup back then etc. And, I being one of those people, want the whole experience - I am having fomo for missing out on steampunk - a unique olive gold imo
How frustrating that you didn’t capture audio for your first swatches!! Gah! I an excited to have Sultry shades again, but on a superficial note, I actually don’t like the plastic packaging. I wish the outer packaging was like the original sultry. You’re right that the plastic is way more practical, but it’s also more generic. I wish they’d included the rose quartz shade…I’d have given up the black for that one! But either way, I want this Mini Sultry! My original Sultry is long gone, so I’ll be happy to have this smaller version to get a taste of it!
Fair enough! Maybe they could have done a sparkly plastic to capture the spirit of the original. 😉. They should have made the original Sultry permanent, but I think the mini is a decent substitute!
Ok you convinced me to just go ahead and get the full size modern renaissance bc if I’m going to spend that much money, might as well spend a little more and get the other red and brown shades, which is what I like about it anyway.
