I use google sheets and have set up a sheet to automatically section percentages of everything and I can put in manual budgets as well and I stick to it. And I know exactly how much money I will have at the end of the month.
I feel like out of all the budgeting videos and things I've seen this has been the most practical video and to the point, and a lovely way of sharing how to get started on the journey to financial freedom. Thank you so much!
@@Dosei236 Not anymore, they offered paid models before and now they're forcing everyone on the free version to start paying for membership and not even making sure people consent to it, they're just sneaking it up
What happened at 6:30 into the video, why did you clip that in and stare at the camera? Honestly made me uncomfortable but thanks a lot for the very informative video, it's really good and helps with an otherwise overwhelming subject
+Anthony sahota That’s bizarre! Sorry for the trouble. I️ just checked back in the App Store, and I️ was able to find I️t. I️t looks like you’re spelling it right and everything. Maybe check once more to see if you have any luck!
Hi Maggie. Thanks for posting this (a year ago). My wife and I are looking for user friendly apps to help us manage money. Do you have any thoughts on “Every Dollar” by Dave Ramsey? How would you compare that to Mint?
Every Dollar has worked well for me the past couple of years. The Mint app looks pretty good too, but I have never used it. I'm happy with the Every Dollar app.
I like qapital but what I absolutely HATE is how they just take large amounts out of your account all at once, it's painful, out of nowhere I get $400 taken out of my account and I try to force myself to leave it as that so I don't move the money around too much
Don't be nervous, do it. I've been using Qapital for a while, and decided to see if there are any others out there that are better. So I searched and stumbled upon this video, and to my surprise? Maggie's favorite is Qapital as well. You can set it up so that it takes money out of your bank account (deposited checks, etc) without you having to do it yourself. Setting and forgetting never became this easy; until now. I personally don't like Well's Fargo, but it's a chance I am willing to take. They will mail tax forms to your address (once a certain amount is circulated through the application), so taxes shouldn't be an issue. Besides, it'll be your money anyway, so whatever is taken out of your personal bank account, can easily be sent back to that bank account (once you've reached a goal, etc.)
+Remy It can definitely be nerve wracking at first, but I tend to look at it no differently than having any other banking app or money transfer app on my phone. If you have any of those, you've already taken the plunge! Plus God's Son makes a good point about being able to reclaim the funds at any point. The money is always yours, it's just a bit disaggregated!
I recently cancelled movie pass after they rolled out the new premium payment requirements (among other things), but I did use it for a little bit before they made all of the changes!
Im a freelancer, income is never the same every month, is there an app you can recommend for helping me organize my income and at yhe same time help with the spending? Thank you
Hmmm that's a good question! Because I have a very regular payment schedule, I'm usually more in the market for finding apps that help me save. I do think that Mint does a great job overall of helping you track both income and expenses from month to month, but some major credit cards have great "snapshots," if you will, that do a great job of tracking both money in and money out.
+Jeff Naanep I’ve honestly stayed loyal to Mint and Truebill. Qapital is awesome when there’s something specific I want to save for, but I have a set, bi-monthly saving process that doesn’t require me to use the app super regularly. I still think it’s the most creative and customizable saving option out there, though!
the video was great and informative but lacked informing about any fees the apps have to use them. Truebill charges 40% to use this app. this is a big concern when videos are about saving money. what if any are the fees for mint, level and kapital?
I’m so glad to hear you found it helpful!! You do have the capability to set more than one rule. I like to set a constant saving stream with the Save and Forget rule and then use the circumstantial type rules that add money to savings when you shop at a certain store, for example.
Very helpful, thank you. I just downloaded true bill. I never heard of that until this video. BTW, I also use Acorns and Digit. Digit I have to pay for though, but it's pretty useful. Qapital is still Better, so I might just not use Digit anymore.
This or That I’ve been saving for along time AND since my mom got a promotion she gave me enough money to buy the iPhone 11 pro max saving is a good thing because it teaches you financial decisions
That’s a smart thing to think about! I think you can change your settings to only move money when you choose to do so, but I think that would eliminate some of the advantage to having the app and utilizing it’s cool features.
This or That so Qapital app can pull from my bank of America account even though I don't have a Wells Fargo Account? Also, am I getting a debit card sent to me?
You link your personal bank account, the app will pull money from your account into an FDIC insured Wells Fargo account, and then you "cash out" at any time. So the funds will be returned to your original account whenever you'd like. You will not get a debt card for Wells Fargo, because you are not an account holder--Qaptial as a company is the account holder to make their app work. It's just a transfer in and out process!
Just checked it out! It does look pretty cool. The onnnnnly reason I hesitate to get it is because it's a paid service to help you save money. There are lot of good free alternatives out there, but I'm sure this one is fabulous too! Have you used it for a long time?
This or That i do agree. But i tried the 34 day free trial and i will not be looking back. Check out the youtube videos on it. It has changed everything in my financial life for me.
GIRL, this was awesome! Thank you!

You are a great RUclipsr! These are all legit apps and you are very genuine with your audience. Please keep up the great work.

Thank you so much!! I sincerely appreciate it!
I couldn't get it to link to my account. Said my credentials are bad?
Oh is there an alternative to Mint as it's not available in the UK?
Sadly, LevelMoney is dead and Qapital is not free. Hope you make a 2019 update.
Qapital is free...

You're k9 teeth are awesome. I love it. Now back to watching the video 😁
I can't download the Mint in Ireland.
Thank you so much for the insight! I had heard of Mint, but Qapital and TrueBill were new to me, and definitely must have’s! Keep up the good work!
You are quite welcome! Hopefully you've enjoyed exploring and using the apps so far. I appreciate your kind words!
Mint has saved me, but Intuit is no longer available after June 30th. We cannot pay bills via the app, but we still have the reminders.
why doesn't the qapital app come up in the app store? any reasons anyone?

I see it last week
The death stare for the garbage truck tho 😨

Yes! I’m in the same boat trying to decide the which is the best.

Spending 300 hundred dollars a month on groceries or more is normal now a day's sadly high as food is so i don't know what your talking about.

U not gonna have this money back , or they just take it to save it for u ?
Nice video. I'm really thinking about using Capital. I'm still a little nervous giving my bank info out tho lol.

kapital not capital
@@RizzlyricistGaming is there a charge to use kapital like there is to use truebill?
Maggie, do you subscribe to Moviepass or any of the other movie subscription services?
I recently cancelled movie pass after they rolled out the new premium payment requirements (among other things), but I did use it for a little bit before they made all of the changes!
Level doesn't seem to exist anymore.
Please could you test money box?

Loved this video so much I just had to save it thank you this was very informative
+El Capo I'm glad you found it helpful!!
Very informative thanks
What do you use instead of level money (close down)?
Thanks in advance

I’ve never paid anything to use TrueBill! You may be referring to a premium version. Everything I mentioned that I use is free!
Really appreciate your video. Thanks
You're welcome! I'm glad you've been enjoying them. Thanks for being part of the community!
Have you ever used Plum or Chip, if so what are your thoughts?
What will be a canadian version for Qapital? Or another similar app. Thank youuuu
I'm honestly unsure! I don't live in Canada! I'm sure there are some great apps out there though.
Such good info. Thanks!

With qapital can you turn off the feature where it automatically transfers money from your account? I am concerned about overdraw fees

So it's only with banking with Wells Fargo? For the Qapital app?
