- Everything in nature is born from one of the Platonic solids:
Named after the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, platonic solids are geometric shapes where the same number of sides meet at each vertex with the same length and angle to create equal forces. They are the only stable structures found in nature.
The five platonic solids that meet these criteria are:
The tetrahedron which is associated with the element of fire,
The cube, which is earth
The octahedron, which is air
The dodecahedron, which is the cosmos,
and lastly, and most complex is the icosahedron, a 20-sided spherical shape which is associated with the element of water.
Buckminster Fuller won the Gold Medal for designing the geodesic dome, the strongest structure known to man from the American Institute of Architects.
When he designed the geodesic dome, he extrapolated the math from the icosahedron.
He truncated the icosahedron to make a dome.
By dividing each side of each triangle by 2, he created a 2-frequency dome. Dividing it by three creates a 3-frequency dome and so on…
In a geodesic dome each pentagon represents the original hub of the main face of the icosahedron. You can determine the frequency of any dome by counting the number of struts between the centers of each pentagon.
For 2 frequency and higher, the other hubs are hexagons.
The higher the frequency, the more curved and spherical the dome is.

Pacific Domes just dropped some esoteric knowledge on the world. I knew this company had something special about them.
I dream of having a 40 ft dome that I can live in and make it stunning on the inside, with well water and solar energy. I've spent over half my life in the city and I think it honestly kills the soul. I'm staying focused on my dream it's simple but it make me happy.
Yes! We love being a part of peoples dreams becoming a reality!
liquidate your assets, buy land in nature and do it! you can do it!
This is THE video for when it comes to geodesic dome frequency. Thank you!
Except for the 3/8 and 5/8 part which, in the case of a 3v, is 4/9 and 5/9. The 5v is not a 5/8, its an 8/15
Excellent explanation
we want a dome! ... thats such a cool video - thank you for sharing!
Let's talk! Reach us at sales@pacificdomes.com for more information!
very interesting. thank you
Thank you for the instructions = )
so good perfect vid
Thank you!
THANKS SO MUCH ALTHOUGH ID LIKE TO ASK WHAT FREQUENCY A 70FT DOME WOULD HAVE
A 70' Dome would have a 6 Frequency!
cool!!!!
In me nedd?
Finally
Thank you for watching!

Fuller did not design the dome, he popularized it and developed the concept. He was not the inventor or original designer of one.
Seem to know what they are talking about but to me it wasn't clear.
If you visit PacificDomes.com, we have brochures and blogs that explain Geodesic Dome frequencies!
Türkler bu yapının daha ilerisini binlerce yıldır biliyor ve yaşıyorlardı.
