I just happened to have seen that Broadway show " Hallelujah Baby ", that Phyllis had mentioned that her husband AdolphGreen , was involved with. I went with my mom for the matinee. We didnt go to very many Broadway shows but for some reason we went to that one. I was a professional singer , and i just happened to do a song from that show called " My Own Morning". This is the second time im watching this particular episode of "Password". I love watching Paul play. So often he says the same word that i thought in my head before he says it. Thats a coincidence. We must think alike. A few days after this show aired this particular episode, i celebrated my 18th birthday on the 7th of July, 1967. I dont know why so many memories of certain particular years in my past have been coming back to my mind lately alot.It seems very strange.
Just happened to see that show "Hallelujah Baby" with my Mom. I sang a song from that show called "My Own Morning " About year later i was in Sardi's with my manager, having a dessert. Leslie waved hello to us and said hi. I waved and said hi as well. She seemed so friendly. It was a good show. I love watching Paul on Password, he's really good at this game.❤ m" Ha.. T
Does anyone know what P. Anka gave for a clue about the 14-minute area for the P-W "Shanty"? I cannot understand his audio and the CC does have anything in script. The contestant got it correct.
@@jawdust3 - ah, but he knew you were....he mentioned it in his autobiography, how you were able to pull it off for so many years with only him and your hair dresser knowing.
Good playing/clues from the Celebs and the contestants on this episode. A.L. being a dork (as he did often) and insulting the young red-haired gal because boy Paul Anka gave the word "Horse' as a clue. He would NEVER have insulted one of the Celebs for being from the State of Wisconsin. As per A.L. saying: "Purple Heart winner" ,,, wrong term. To get a "Purple Heart Medal" in the U.S. military, you had to have been wounded or badly injured on a battlefield / hostile action needing medical care. The word 'Recipient' would have been more appropriate. "Winner" or "Earned" would be the correct phrase for "Heroic" deeds, Achievement, Commendation and Marksmanship awards.
Me too. Really irks me, but she's never been that big. A string of Broadway shows and G-T game panelist. But most famous for being Mrs. Adolph Green. It pays off if you marry the right person and then have a modicum of talent.
Paul was so good at this, so good at the quickfire rounds especially.
Paul Anka is so good at giving clues.
How handsome was Paul Anka here ?And just an amazing password player !!!
I love watching these, the ones with Paul ✨
Paul pulled that hand back just in time! LOL
He did. He really was excited to play well and win (in a respectful way). He was very much the same with the male contestant when they switched.
Paul Anka seems like a very nice man...
👁️👁️
👄 Um.... Ye...
Wow, the men stand when the women enter, Paul helped with her chair. Very considerate. Normal back in the day.
If you watch the late 70s Password Plus, Allen always helps the women contestants into their chairs when they come in.
Paul is my favorite
Paul plays very good.
He's one of the most brilliant players.
This is my new favorite thing to watch
me too
Me too! I am addicted...
@@randysills4418 I am so sad because I have almost seen all the available episodes !! What am I gonna do now ? Blessings from California. 🦜

7:03 point -- Jean is in love with Paul Anka.
Wouldn't you be too! Lol
@@daffyslooney2867 Jean's more my type. But I get the point.
She was probably a fan when she was younger.
I think Allen was a terrific game show host; so professional but friendly.
PHYLLIS NEWMAN (1933 - 2019)
Like watching paul ago a with this girl
He's surprisingly rude to her about "cow". No wonder she doesn't look happy when he announces her $350.
Really impressed by how well the returning soldier was treated. Many were disrespected. He played very well also.
She was so surprised.he is hands onbut he was always patting even the men

@@twoofsix3b3g Thanks!
Paul Anka, being a Jedi long before George Lucas even came up with the Jedi Order.
8:36; down boy! You’re married, buddy!
Ooh did you see when the contestant was being teased by the host and she got really angry 😅
1:33 ohh darling
How did she get Mound from the clue “Pictures”?
Pitcher's mound
He said "pitcher's
The CC reads "Pictures", but the word spoken was "Pitchers" as in a Baseball game.
Goede speel Paul
8:36 just congradulate her and give her a handshake, don't get her pregnant.
lol!😂
I would’ve fainted if it had been me.
Down boy! You’re married, buddy!
I didn't know Anka was Lebanese!
I didn't know he was a lesbian either
He's Canadian.
Just sayin'.
Technically I think half Syrian half Lebanese.
(Blanche) Isn't Danny Thomas one?

12:44 your legs
Sprawl, encompassed, smashed???
11:26 jean and phyllis with a double ended mandingo dilldoe
You can see Paul Anka's hairline and bald spot form
Not really…
8:52 Paul: "I feel ERECT" from the kiss at 8:36
I think he said "a wreck."
"I feel a wreck."
What did Paul say at 8:52?😂
bri y I think he said, “a wreck” but it sounded like something else 🤔
It sounded like "wretch".
8:42, did he just pinch her cheek like one would do with a baby or a toddler?
No he kissed her cheek
Did I miss something? She correctly guesses one password, they go immediately to her lightning round, and then she and the man leave with $300 each.
Right?? That was bizarre
They had picked up a game from the day prior. 1:58 in the video Allen gives the score from the end of the previous day.
miss newman alwys rubbed me the wrong way. how did she get so big in show biz? marry into it??

She kinda looks like dora
I don't know what your beef was with her... but I absolutely loved her!
Her laugh annoys me.
I guess a sign of the times, Allen is so condescending to the women.
Paul is weird
We all are at times, you know-even you!
He’s not he’s cute asf😩
