(My wife is Japanese) I experienced two start-ups in Korea and came to Japan for a new challenge. I changed my visa to study abroad and am looking for a job in Japan with studying. Can you introduce the company that you mentioned in the interview that you were working for in Japan???

      Right? He seems like he has a very unique story
      He seems like he speed ran Japan as a foreigner and from fucking UTAH too
      I wish I could know the full in depth story of the guy from Utah. due to listening it seems he had a uniquely easy time while also judge that he had been in Japan for only 7 years, it seems like he speed ran the long uncertain process that is finding stability in Japan ( I know that's a extreme shallow observation ). its just that I feel he could have some valuable dialogue
      like did he study in Japan for undergrad or not?
      what is his major in grad school at Keio?
      his application process at keio
      how did he land his job for the startup?
      at least see a lot of western foreigners who come to Japan
      and grind the typical English teacher thing for years until
      they find a better job and get better at the language since they can't use there education or they leave after the 4th year mark
      and usually it is only better in pay but your stuck with the work culture
      it seems like a narrow difficult path for majority, that is hard to stray
      more or less it seems he found work stability in Japan very quickly as well and being an undergrad student

I got approved for 6 months, and when I was hired at an eikaiwa, they applied for my extension on an Instructor's visa, valid for 3 years. I didn't stay the full length - only until I completed one school year.

    I agree that the guy from Utah looked younger than 28. To me he acted more mature and gave very good answers. I’m very surprised Takashii didn’t follow up asking if his wife was Japanese when he said he was married with two children. My guess would be yes just because he said he was going to live in Japan forever. Also his enthusiastic acknowledgment that the Topic Question was a good question made me laugh because of the way he said it. Plus it is a good question. At least for me because I wasn’t really aware there were different types of Visas.

    • @princesseilly
      @princesseilly 2 года назад +4

      as he said he's from Utah, as far as i know people from there are more religious and they cant have sex until they get married also they marry the same religious women. well thats my best guess.

    • @middleclassic
      @middleclassic 2 года назад +3

      @@princesseilly : Well he said from all over the USA but mostly Utah. And it sounded as if because of his father’s job he’s, which had him living in 3 different places in Japan, he sounds kind of like he’s been all over the place. But it’s very possible he is Mormon. Of the few Later Day Saints I have known they have all been incredibly nice people with what I would consider high moral values. And I think as long as a person is a practicing “whatever religion”, meaning you attend church regularly, then yes, you would marry within your faith.
      I don’t know? After re-watching this episode just now to me he just seems like a confident well traveled person who has a lot going for him. I certainly know when I was 28 I felt very much the same. Except I’m still living in Los Angeles but wish I were just about anywhere else right now.
      Anyway it is what it is.

    • @Thena-vx6id
      @Thena-vx6id 2 года назад +2

      @@princesseilly that’s a massive generalization. Yes there’s a lot of religious people in Utah who believe that you shouldn’t have sex until you get married and should marry someone within your religion but there’s a lot of people that aren’t. There’s freedom of religion so plenty of different people with different beliefs live and are from there. Just because this guy is from Utah doesn’t mean that he isn’t married to a Japanese women.

    Gosh, how did you find awesome people!? A beautiful fighter/kindergarten worker, a charismatic good American guy, a super hot serious German model(he's so hot he could play Batman). If traveling to Japan and going outside is all it takes to meet such awesome people is all it takes, I'm applying to the visa now!

    For people wanting to go to Japan for whatever reason, this is the most crucial question you have asked so far!
    Side note: Is that guy a vampire? LOL He looks super young but is 28 and married with kids. Like, woah. Also, these interviewees are leading such interesting lives. I wish them the best.
