Hey man! The first intention of the video was to paint a clearer picture of the Kickstarter watch market, a surprising influential place historically, and ultimately explain why it has turned out to be a disaster. We invited chazz on to help us out because he is a Kickstarter veteran and could certainly help our conversation be more informed. And accepted our invitation to( technically I’m speculating but I think I’m accurate) bring that free value to the community and raise awareness for his brand!
Hahaha always more rolly! And did you find the info interesting? Kickstarter is certainly a major player in the mass market and I think the insights here helped shed some light.
@@TheoandHarris The information was interesting but most kickstarter watch brands are not my cup of tea. I'm a bit older and maybe biased but I think you are better served with saving your money and buying an established brand with lasting value, history, etc. That said, I support what they are doing in the watch community and wish them all the best. Love the wine recommendations btw!
I just backed a watch from Vario which is called the Empire. This is Ivans second watch but people may know Vario more for their watch straps and adapters.
If you have a timepiece that's really good, people will buy it. Most quick buck kick starters often miss that ingredient. The question one should ask is, "Is it that good that I'd recommend it even if I don't make money off it?"
Undone Watch is sick! Perfect in regards to being a rugged no-BS watch with just enough going on to keep it interesting and not too much to where it is trying so hard to impress. A few micro/indy brands to pretty well and then either lose the way OR they try too hard to "break" the rules of design without first learning how they actually work... basically when Bauhaus goes terribly wrong. Honestly never heard of Liv before this video and am pretty impressed with the price-to-offering ratios. Super sporty and fun! Even if these are not your particular aesthetic you HAVE to appreciate what is being offered and the general design language and (honestly) a pretty good use of color.
Hey bob! Exactly right, when we allow a brand to power/sponsor a video, we give them an opportunity to bring value to our audience (in this instance a pretty thorough breakdown of the demise of Kickstarter watches) and use their company as a reference point. It makes interesting content, raises awareness for them and allows us to expand our network!
@@TheoandHarris So why don't you make it abundantly clear that it is sponsored content. Using cute euphemisms like "powering" instead of "sponsoring" and burying it the description rather than calling it out in the video really tarnishes your brand. If this was the first piece of your content that someone comes across, how likely do you think they would be to trust you enough to purchase a watch from you?
Great question! We have massive respect for Chaz, his team, and the company they’ve built. The watches - well, I have a 6.5 inch wrist. So there’s just no hope there. They do serve exactly who they’re targeting very well. And while that’s just not me, that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be getting the spotlight they deserve.
Glad you liked it, man! Sponsored content is so easy to sh*t all over but what we tried to do here was bring an authority to the table to educate the conversation, that’s it!
Is Liv Watches really something you support Christian? Don't you also think they are some extremely ugly watches like the rest of us? Unless you are planning on climbing Mt. Everest soon I can't see someone of your caliber getting anywhere close a watch like that.
Hey man! It’s funny, I just finished writing an outline for a video on Pateks 5212 - their new weekly calendar. While I have some nice things to say about it, I know I would never buy or wear one. It’s just too casual for my taste and, at 40mm, it’s probably too big for my wrist. Needless to say, I am 100% not Liv’s target clientele Hahahahah. But that’s not a reflection of their quality or dedication to service - im impressed by the company, commend their success and have no hesitation recommending them to people I think will love them!
These watches look disgusting, and why on earth would this guy mention cheap Alibaba watches when it looks like hes taking design ques from them? I get doing sponsored content but man.... at some point when looking at their designs ya gotta be like "nah, I'm not advertising this shit". You dont have to personally love every product but c'mon Christian, if you had to wear one of these you'd be suicidal.
That watch is pure trash. I understand that this was an obvious sponsored video because why else would anyone what that shitter? Swiss quartz movements are like $20 and the rest of that piece of shit is made in China. You can easily tell the quality of the PVD & the obvious shittiness of the bezel and links. If you go to China like Navsan you can find hundreds if not thousands of manufacturers ready to make you a crap watch for under $30 that you can easily retail for $300 or more. Once you've sold all those shitters you will finally be able to afford an FP Journe or Lange & Sohne.
is this a promotional Video?

Theo and Harris thank You for the clarification, and hopefully you won’t get picked up like that lying pencil nosed “aristocrat” Keep it up
@@blazinmark1 you're a hater
It’s an infomercial on live watches, everyone....
My vote is for more Rollie and less "powered by" content!

This particular subject didn’t pull me in, but you get a thumbs up anyway, just for the shirt Christian, awesome, what brand is it? 😎
this guy must be a Multi Millionaire by now! Congrats!

What exactly does "powering this episode" mean? Is this sponsored content?

What is your honest opinion of these watches? Aesthetically they seem off for T&H.....

The background music is annoying and distracting. This is just an extended advert for LIV
There has been some good watches on Kickstarter
Nice video and shirt! Really like the colour :)
Thanks, man!!
Axios and Zelos are 2 other good microbrands
wish me p51 would hurry up
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Undecided. Thanx Christian.
Nice shirt and beautiful watch my man! Really cool interview!
Good video, good information.
Thank you, Ronald!!
This guy will run down brand live Invicta and mvmt but back this brand? What a sham

This is bullshit. Huge fan of T&H for Christians tell it like it is attitude. This sponsored video is the exact opposite of why I subscribe.
Infomercial about a shitter.....
This is the worst fake I've ever seen sure is a strange way to promote someone watches
