Danny Ray… Thanks so much for posting this video. I was having the same problem with my Garmin Force and the 4.50 software update took care of it…Now I’m cookin with beans & grease again. 😊 Really enjoy your channel…
That's awesome dude 😎 I am glad that you are cooking with beans & grease. A friend sent me a message from a Ranger forum where a guy had the same problem. I figured it was a common problem. Well, glad it helped you. God bless!!!
The arrows are for Motor Status--non blinking red means "the motor software is starting up." Red blinking means "there is a system error." You may have to power off and power back on. After an update powering off and back on is what Garmin recommends.
Sorry to hear. Garmin told me also to check a connector in the head. You only have to remove four screws to take the cover off. Inside is a connector, they said to make sure the connection is not loose. Please let me know what fixes the problem.
@@praisingjesus113 thanks..I took off that connector and reassembled it, unfortunately it still doesn't work, I talked to Garmin and they said that I have to send the motor to them.
@@mariusdocea438 Garmin will take care of you. It's one of the reasons I like owning their products. I really am interested in what they find. Please let me know if you don't mind.
Hello my fiend , I have a problem like your too, but I can’t even update my troll motor yet, I don’t know why the speed power light not light on at all
If the power light is not on you may have lost power to the trolling motor. In the video, it shows how to check the voltage. If you have power to the trolling motor, you may want to watch this video ruclips.net/video/OweqVYKXIrE/видео.html It shows how to update the software. If that fails, I would call Garmin Support at 1-800-800-1020. I hope this helps.
@@praisingjesus113 I mean the three light on the top is working, but the speed light from 1-19 not blinking like when u update. It’s not running from bottom to the top, the light up and down speed not working
After I downloaded the update to my phone Active Captain app. I had the same problem when I updated to the 4.50 version. I just updated to the 5.00 version and had to make sure my phone WIFI was turned on. Then I had to select the Garmin Force for it to connect. It would not connect automatically. At this point, it still did not transfer the update. I had to power down and then power up the trolling motor. While it was in the process of powering up l quickly reconnected my phone WIFI to the Force trolling motor. That is when all the green speed lights started flashing, which started the transfer. Let me know if this helps!
It is in the design. The Garmin Force has two pistons and at the point in the middle of the deploy or stowing it one of the pistons will engage the bow mount. At this point, if you move it slowly it will come to a stop.
Jonesboro area. I have a whole setup I am going to install. Got the force trolling motor, echomap 93sv hd, a used black box and lvs 32. None of which are installed on my boat yet. Been collecting the parts and pieces one at a time.
I am upgrading my Livescope battery to a Dakota Lithium battery. Planning on having two Echcomaps and GLS 10 connected. Dakota Lithium Batteries are on sale. I also use a 10% discount code that I found by doing a Google search.
In case you missed it. Watch the video below so you can update your Force Trolling motor. Check the version and make sure it is the latest update. ruclips.net/video/43e9fSs_0CA/видео.htmlsi=Sxy9ZULiEyto0eqT
After you download the update to your phone get within three feet of your trolling motor. Then turn on your phone Wi-fi and connect to trolling motor. Next, open Active Captain and click My Marine Devices. Press the highlighted blue Connect button. Also, remember to turn on your remote control. I have an Android phone and for some reason my Wi-Fi connection kept turning off. I had to reconnect my phone to the trolling motor a few times. It took five to ten minutes to transfer the update. I even powered off the trolling motor a couple of times just to activate the search mode. It is a pain. One other note, I had to set a Wi-Fi password on my remote.
I just watched the official Garmin Force video again. If you can see it transferring on your phone wait until it finishes. You can also watch the transfer on your remote. After, power off the trolling motor and power it back on and that is when the green display lights will start flashing. Go to my playlist on my channel page and you can watch it. Hope it works out for you!

Easy Now!
Danny this is an awesome video keep up the great work
Thanks Jerry. You are right about the WORK part, because it is a lot of WORK!
I just did my update at jack Miller. I’ve had 4 of these trolling motors and they have to hold my hand every time I update
It took at least an hour. I could not get my prop to come on. I was at 4.0 today
That dude was patient
But now my arrows are red. I don’t even know what they do
I am curious, why have you had four Garmin Force trolling motors?

I have instal 5.20 update, my troling motor 50 stop too working, naw i must send this on garmin service😢

None of this will work if you have not setup a WIFI password on your remote.
There is version 5.00 now. You need another update.
Thanks for the info. Wayne you are the MAN!
How do you keep your trolling motor half way up like that…
It is in the design. The Garmin Force has two pistons and at the point in the middle of the deploy or stowing it one of the pistons will engage the bow mount. At this point, if you move it slowly it will come to a stop.
Where you from in Louisiana? I may need some tips. Going to buy one today

Was this the day of the LSU/ole miss game ?
Lol
Good information but I still can't log on to Activecaptin. Do you know the phone # for Garmin support?
Garmin 1 800-800-1020
Sorry for the delayed response. I have been out of town and just now saw your message.
