Hello my friend ! I'm a medical doctor in Brazil (south Brazil - ina city called Porto Alegre ). I'm a Cardiologist and anesthesiologist that is addicted in board games (in my free time...kkkk).... I'm just coming here to send a message that I just love your videos and the style of explanation that you bring in your videos !!! This videos that you explain so well goes in places or countries that you have no idea , and brings inspiration of games that delivers for us a lot o fun! Thank you !!
That is so awesome! Thank you for sending this message. You have really added sunshine to my day. I'm so happy you enjoy the channel and that my videos have helped in some small way. I am truly passionate about this hobby, and I am blessed to be able to reach others from around the world who love the hobby as much as I do. I really hope this channel continues to be a valuable resource for you. Thanks so much!
Really great list! Also, excellent b-roll for each game and you get extra points for not only the number in your list and title of the game, but also for listing the designers for each one. Just subbed!
This is easily the best top list video I've ever seen. You've put so much effort into making it! Thanks for taking the time to make it so easy to follow and visual. And I agree with all of your games too!
That's great to hear. I'm glad those are useful. I want these videos to be as helpful as possible, so I'll be sure to keep those stamps going. Thanks so much!
Great list. The only three games missing, IMO, are Wingspan, Mansions of Madness, and Cascadia. Three great games that are fun to play, Solo. Gloomhaven is my favorite but, Mansions of Madness is just amazing.
Beautifully done. I enjoyed the pace of this list. Enough time to get me more interested in games I haven’t played, but not too long that I get impatient with games I have played.
Thanks, Ben. This format seems the most popular and well received, probably for the reasons you mentioned, so I'm sticking with it moving forward. I'm glad it works for you. Thanks for watching!
Love a lot of these. I also really love less crunchy small games at times. Dust runner - epic, dinosaur rawr and write- epic building, new York zoo- tight margins!, doom machine- fast run, fliptown- easy fun, cursed!?- mind numbing easy and fun. Cheers
I've beat all the base game scenarios in Robinson Crusoe playing all 4 characters on each. It's easily the most thematic and difficult solo game out there and I never get tired of playing it.
Wow. I’ve been watching several of your videos and just got to this. This was a work of art. You nailed it! Great editing with tons of b roll that was relevant to what you were saying. Seriously, great job. As someone who doesn’t really do much solo gaming myself, it’s funny that my #1 solo game wasn’t on the list at all, too many bones.
Fun list! If you haven’t played Legacy of Yu I highly recommend it. It is the first solo only game I have ever fallen in love with, and the way they unravel the story while keeping the same goal in mind every game is fantastic.
Thanks for the recommendation. I have played Legacy of Yu. I have a tutorial playthrough on my channel. I still need to finish the campaign but I've enjoyed my games of it so far. Thanks for watching!
Nice top! My top ten in any order : Too many bones, Victorum, Cloudspire, Gaia Project, Mage knight, Robinson Crusoe, Nemesis, Dwellings of Eldervale, Dune imperium, Architects of the west kingdom
Great Top 10! I need to spend more time with Chip Theory games. I just haven't tabled them like I should. Thanks so much for sharing and checking out the list!
Colorful as usual, your videos look amazing on a 4K tv. Deduction does not seem to be your cup of tea: black sonata, turing machine, awkward guests, the search for planet x and its sequel, etc. I find small games more addictive when playing solo: palm island, grove, spaceshipped, lock&spell and so many more. Great list you have, thank you!
Yeah, you have me pegged. I love social deduction, because I love the lying and accusations and brow beating, etc. Solo deduction falls a bit flat for me. I like it but don't love it and top 50 is all love. Small games are great but the epic experiences are rising to the top for me over time. Not sure why. Thanks for watching!
We have a lot of crossover in our lists! I'll add a few of my favorites I didn't see on yours (unless my brain skipped for a few seconds): Legacy of Yu, Keep the Heroes Out (2 handed), Paleo (also 2 handed), Oak, Rococo Deluxe, Abomination Heir of Frankenstein, Machina Arcana, and Raiders of Scythia. Love your videos, and you continue to introduce me to wonderful games!
Awesome, Morga! Of those you listed, I've only played Legacy of Yu solo, and it was really close to making it. I need to play it a few more times to really solidify my feelings. But it is top 100 for sure. I'm very interested in Paleo and I really like Rococo at 2p. Thanks so much for checking out the list!
Thanks for the sub, Eric! I really appreciate the support. It helps so much in terms of growth and getting eyeballs on my videos. I'm glad you enjoyed the list. Be sure to check out the full playthroughs on any games that look interesting. Thanks again!
Nice list, I've discovered some new games. My list would include: - Too Many Bones - Imperium Legend - Nemo's War - Aeon's End - Paladins of the West Kingdom - Everdell - Raiders of Scythia - Helionox - Goblivion - Atlantis Rising - Sub Terra - Marvel Champions - Dead man tell no tales - Yggdrasil Chronicles - Hadrian's Wall - Gloom of Kilforth - Wingspan And many of the games that already were on your list.
Great list! Every time I see these lists of games I'm reminded of how many great games exist. I kinda wish they would stop making new ones for a few years so I could catch up! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this list. As someone trying to get into solo board games, it's short and descriptive enough for me to get an idea of what the game is like, so that I can note it down and check it out separately. I just noticed you have another series with some older and newer videos going through the games at various complexity levels. Gonna be sure to check that out, although the "most welcoming" one seems to be from 2 years ago.
Thanks for checking out my videos. I'm current working on two Top 100 lists (all games and solo). They should come out later this year. You might also want to check out my Top 10 Solo Only Games list. Great ones on that as well. Have a great day!
Thank you for this video! I wrote down about 10 more games I really want to play! I loved the pace and look forward to watching some of your reviews of these games on your other videos! Keep up the super work!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Definitely check out the playthroughs. They will really help you decide which games are right for you. I really appreciate your long support of the channel, Mike. Thanks so much!
My number 10 solo Games are : 1/ Robinson Crusoe 2/ Mage Knight 3/ Too many Bones 4/ Cloudspire 5/ Gaia Project 6/ Spirit Island 7/ Burncycle 8/ Hoplomchus 9/ Scythe 10/ Gloom of Kilforth Very curious on a feast for Odin.
The Chip Theory games are a big blind spot for me that I hope to fill soon. Too Many Bones didn't speak to me right out of the gate, but I haven't played much so that isn't surprising. Gaia Project is another I need to play more, but it is Top 100 for me for sure. Great Top 10 there. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
That's fantastic. I'm totally like that -- I see some video of a game and it really motivates me to get it on the table. Hope you play something fun this weekend. Thanks for watching, Charles!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I just watched the play through of Halls of Hegra. Those were a big help for me and showed me some of the nuances that would have taken me several plays to figure out. Thanks. I'll definitely be checking out many of your other game plays. Great work!
That is so great to hear. Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy the channel and that my video was helpful. I hope you like the other videos as well. Halls of Hegra was influenced by Robinson Crusoe and I've done two playthroughs of it. That would be a great place to start. Thanks again and have a great day!
Thanks. Some there which I will definitely have to check out. I've been enjoying Rolling Realms solo recently. It has so many combinations and, therefore, replayability. Every realm is a good puzzle, which is quick to set up and play.
Rolling Realms is one I've wanted to try for a while. Looks like it would be great for some quick, late night play, which is a category of solo game I play a lot. Thanks for the recommendation and thanks for watching the list!
Thanks for the sub! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. My top 100 of all time should be coming in 2-3 months and it will be in the same style. I appreciate you supporting the channel! Have a great day!
Love the channel, love your efficiency in communicating the basic essence of a game. My favourite game is currently Marvel United and I just got into Bullet Heart/Star/Orange. Looking forward to checking out some of your other favourites!
@@TotallyTabled I had never heard of Warp's Edge before your video but I love bag-building so I found a second-hand copy with the Anomaly expansion and I love it! Now I gotta track down the deluxe upgrades lol
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, this video took forever to put together. I had to film a lot of original b-roll for the games I haven't covered on the channel. And the editing is very tedious. This year I'm jumping to Top 100 and I'm not looking forward to it. :) I really appreciate you checking out the video!
Yay! You did a lot of hard work to bring this list to the solo playing crowd. I thought I was done buying games....LOL! [Lying to myself]. Thank you for this very concise and well produced list.
I appreciate that. Thank you. It's a surprising amount of editing work putting it together. I'm glad you enjoyed the final product. Thanks for checking it out.
Great list! I can really appreciate all the work you did to make this video, with all of the fantastic visuals. My absolute favorite to solo is Gloomhaven. I'm halfway through and can't wait to finish it so I can get Frosthaven! I'm surprised I didn't see Scythe on here.
I still need to crack into Frosthaven as well. There is just so much in Gloomhaven I still have left to explore, even after dozens and dozens of plays. So fun. I like Scythe, but pretty much play it exclusively as a multiplayer game. The solo is very good, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather play other things. It is a me problem, not a Scythe problem. Thanks for watching!
Love this list, I watched your Frostpunk playtrough a couple of times and think you have the best one on yt. Did u think about playing the other scenarios?
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the list. I plan on returning to Frostpunk at some point to explore the other scenarios. I have a lot of games I'd like to cover on the channel, so I'm not sure how soon I'll return. Filming this beast is challenging and time consuming, so I'll need to be in a particularly masochistic mood. :) Thanks for watching!
I'm fairly new to boardgaming and somehow I find this to be one of the absolute best boardgaming-channels on youtube!! Just by the way you're describing the board games, your enthusiasm for board games really shines through and I can see that you really like to study and explore the game and actually take it for what it's worth (the mechanisms, the originality, the story and the theme)! Somehow I trust your judgment the most, because I'm always seeing new interesting games on here and by the way you are DESCRIBING the games really tells a lot about what you focus on, when it comes to board games! I often see games which I rarely see on other channels! I'm really interested to know HOW you choose what game you want to play next? Are there particular sources which you yourself trust and that influence your decision? What is YOUR source of inspiration when it comes to choosing your next game? I'm really curious about your decision process! Sending Greetings from Europe, Switzerland and Thank You so much for all the great content!! 🤗
This is such a wonderful and generous comment. You really made me smile. Thank you. I'm so happy you enjoy the channel. You ask a really good question. When I first started out in the hobby, I watched all the big RUclips channels -- Dice Tower, Watch It Played, Shut Up and Sit Down, and Radho. I learned about games through them. Now I watch much less, but when I do, I mostly watch channels like Gaming Rules, Before You Play, Brothers Murph, Slickerdrips, and the One Stop Co-op Shop -- playthroughs, basically. I find out about games mostly by following designers and publishers that I have enjoyed in the past. When they talk about a new game, I go to Board Game Geek to get more information, watch a video or maybe scan a rulebook if I can find it. After more than a decade in the hobby playing hundreds of different games, I am better able to read about a game and predict if I will like it. But early on I was really dependent on the opinions of others. One thing that hasn't changed -- I still believe playthroughs are the best way to learn about a game and decide if it is worth playing. Thanks again for commenting and watching and I hope you continue to enjoy the channel for a long time!
This is a great list! Several of my all-time favorites, including Robinson Crusoe and Pandemic: Iberia (my favorite iteration of Pandemic too), are mentioned. Thanks, Shaggy!
I play a lot of Mage Knight. Tons of replayability there. Will probably pick up some new games you mentioned here - like Robinson Crusoe and This War of Mine (I loved the videogame)...
Yeah, I'm still relatively new to Mage Knight compared to many. I was late to the party but I'm excited to continue to explore it. Be sure to check out my full solo playthroughs of Robinson Crusoe and This War of Mine if you haven't already. Those playthroughs should give you a good idea if they are games you would enjoy. Thanks so much for watching!
I'm a big Mage Knight fan. Robinison Crusoe is a great game for solo too. Very different from Mage knight but fun. Have you found another game like Mage Knight you enjoy playing solo?
Paladins is close, probably in my 50-60 range. A few more plays might push it up for me, but it still feels a bit long for what it is. I like it a lot. Architects is great at higher player counts (4-5 players). Viscounts needs more plays at all player counts. Wayfarers is top 100 but not sure where. It needs an expansion to really unlock its full potential I feel. Still really fun. Never played Raiders solo, but I enjoy it at 2p. Overall, Garphill games are very consistent for me, but I'm not as over the moon with them as a lot of gamers. Not sure why exactly. Thanks so much for checking out the video, Danielle!
I would add two: #1 Under Falling Skies. It's the one I play often. #2 Nemo's War (second edition). If I want to immerse myself in an adventure around the world onboard the nautilus.
I'm really glad you were able to grab a copy. I'm very sad it won't be more available and I hope it gets more attention and positive word of mouth to get a reprint. I'm very high on Halls of Hegra and I don't think I'm alone. Thanks for watching!
It was very very close to making it. With a few more plays I could see it rising, but for now it is in the 50-60 range. Great game for sure. Thanks so much for checking out the list!
Great top! We have similar taste that's why i don't miss these kind of videos from you! I'm surpraised that WM it's higher than Kanban EV in your list I'll have to look that one, not good for my wallet😅... It would have been interesting to hear which expansions are essential to you to play each game solo, some times you mention some of them (like tuscany, unfinished business, etc) but i notice that you have de Underwater Cities Discovery expansion on the video but didn't mentioned, for example, that one is essential to you? What about Dune Imperium? Or GWT with the rails expansion? Thanks!!
Yeah, only the expansions I mentioned are ones that I find "essential." The others are good but far from necessary. I do really really like the Norwegians expansion for A Feast for Odin. The Obsession expansion is also great. I haven't tried the Dune Imperium expansions yet -- been meaning to and just haven't found the time. I'm probably in the minority in really liking solo Weather Machine. Kanban is fantastic as well, but it is top 10 for me multiplayer. I'm drawn to different games solo verses multiplayer and sometimes my love of a game multiplayer can taint my desire to play it solo, if that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice list and tight video! Need to check out Loop as someone who have consumed a great deal of time travel content 😁 Shout out to two games I've been loving solo that was not on the list: - Hadrian's wall 🧱💂 - Cascadia 🫎🐟🐻🦅🦊
Ah, the Loop is amazing. Check out my solo playthrough on the channel to see if it looks interesting to you. Hadrian's Wall is one I need to try. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled I will! The campaign for Hadrian's wall makes exploring all the different routes of the game so much fun. Such a crunchy and satisfying solo game. My first love as a solo gamer for sure.
@@EliasTrollkarln Yeah, I need to get over my exhaustion with flip and writes and give Hadrian's Wall a go. It is also a bit expensive, which has been a factor. One day I'll make it happen.
Dawn of the Zeds, Skyrim, Marvel Champions, Under falling Skys, Hadrians Wall are great games too. Twilight Inscription and The Guild of Merchant Explorers are good co-op games that work as solo too. Even Massive Darkness 2 and Descent can be played in solo and are a lot of fun. we life in a great time with all that wonderfull games to play. If i only had more time at hand.
Such a great list and a well produced video as always!! I was excited to see Hit Z Road and The Bloody Inn on here! Hit Z Road doesn't get enough love as a solo! I think its so cool and the production of that game is awesome! You also reminded me I need to get Weather Machine to the table! It is still in shrink wrap on my shelf! I think my favorite Button Shy solo game right now is Numbersters. So quick and easy to play. I take it with me everywhere. Right now I am playing a lot of solo Ark Nova, Lost Ruins of Arknak, and GWT. Just got the GWT New Zealand so am interested in seeing how that plays. Thanks for the great videos as always! I had been waiting for this solo list!! :)
Thanks so much, Darlene! I agree, Hit Z Road is underappreciated overall, but especially as a solo game. If you tackle Weather Machine be sure to check out my instructional playthrough! I plan to do a Button Shy week and Numbsters will be a part of that. I'm definitely picking up GWT New Zealand. Let us know what you think of it once you table it! Thanks so much for checking out the list!
In the recently published Dawn of Ulos you are playing as gods investing different mortal fantasy faction. The game comes with an automaton allowing you to play solo against your choice of 3 different difficulties. The automaton telegraphs its intentions by showing the player 1 of 3 possible factions it will be supporting on its next turn, and it also ends up planning for future turns while keeping the turn complexity at a minimum in a game that is rich with choices.
Great list. My best solo experinces has been with Woodcraft and Stroganov. And I also love A Feast for Odin and The Castles of Burgundy: Special Edition. 🙂
That reminds me that I still need to get Stroganov to the table. That is one that has fallen through the cracks. Thanks for the recommendation and thanks for checking out the video!
Best Solo game video. I bought Robinson Crusoe after watching this list and its so good. What is your experience with 'The Loop"? is it have good replayability? some says it felt abit repetitive after a few game, is it true?
I have not found the Loop repetitive at all. There are multiple modules in the box to add a ton of replayability. But YMMV I guess. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the sub! I'm glad you enjoyed the list. I'll have my Top 100 Games of All Time coming in a few months (hopefully) and towards the end of the year I'll do my Top 100 Solos. Until then I hope you enjoy the rest of the playthroughs and lists on the channel! Thanks again and have a great day!
my top 10 is pretty much the same as yours, but i would throw in some of fantasy flights LCG's instead... and i would probably say some lacerda's would be a little higher but still a great list this is why i like your content, its been great to give me good ideas on what game i might like to add to the collection next because we seem to have very similar tastes also your video quality is top notch
Ha, nice! I finally talked about it enough! I hope you enjoy it, though it can take a few plays. Check out my playthroughs if you haven't for some tips. If a scenario isn't fun, just try another one. I recommend starting with Jenny Needs Help, as I don't like the Castaways tutorial scenario very much. Let me know how it goes and good luck!
I'd love to know how you squeeze so much gaming in. The biggest issue for me is big blocks of time. Do you typically play all at once or leave the game set up and play in multiple sessions? If multiple sessions, how do you manage your space? Thanks for all your fantastic content!
Ha, well I've been gaming for over a decade so I used to have more time than I have now with kids and everything. I have a few things that help -- I don't watch much TV and I stay up late. I jammed a table in my home office so I could keep a game set up at all times and play at my leisure (I also film my videos on this table). So I definitely don't always play a full game in one sitting. Thanks for watching!
Excellent list. Feast for Odin is my no. 1 game to buy on my wishlist. Personally i like these which weren't on your list. Arkham Horror board game Calico 7th Continent
Those are excellent games as well. I found that Arkham Horror the Card Game has replaced AH for me, even though they are very different. Similarly I play Cascadia more than Calico at this point. I'm working on my Top 100 list, which should hopefully be out towards the end of the year, and these might show up on that list. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for the top! I am surprised Lacerda is so low and that Weather machine is higher than Kanban. Will be great to see sometime Lisboa as I have bought it and afraid to learn solo. Have heard that the best solo among Lacerda is in Gallerist. When there were high discounts I have bought Mage Knight and hope you will share your experience with its campaigns. Would be great to buy This War of Mine and Frostpank - haven't expected they will be so high in your list. Also was surprises somebody plays Namesis solo - for me it was always only multiplayer experience
Lacerda's games are big multiplayer experiences for me. I rarely turn to them for solo, except if I am in a certain mood. Weather Machine speaks to me solo more than the others for some reason -- maybe because I have less history playing that one multiplayer? I think the solo mode is well done. I prefer Gallerist with 2p. Lisboa is good at all counts. This year has been eye opening for me in terms of how much I appreciate deep stories of survival, tension, challenge, and epic cinematic gameplay when it comes to solo play. It's my thing right now. And Nemesis is great solo! Thanks so much for watching!
Favorites of mine that didn't make your list: Legacy of Yu, Wingspan, Parks, Meadow, Earth, Red Rising, Blackout Hong Kong, Viscounts of the West Kingdom, Destinies, Hadrian's Wall, Kohaku, Trekking Through History, Wayfarers of the South Tigris, Corrosion, and Project L
Nice list. A few of those were close to making the list. Just goes to show how many great solo games we have these days. Really cool. Thanks for checking out the video!
Spirit island and Arkham horror LCG make up about 80% of my solo time. Unsettled would be one I'd like to see if you liked. I am waiting on the Kickstarter to deliver but think it may be on par with the two mentioned above for time hitting the table
Yeah, those games have infinite replayability, so that makes a lot of sense. I am also waiting for my Unsettled KS, so I haven't experienced it yet, but I'm optimistic that it will be something in my wheelhouse. Very excited for that one. Thanks for watching, Mike!
I was wondering when you'd be shifting tbh, saw this on the cards if i'm honest, and totally makes sense. You've made me spend more than i should have on games and been following for years, and just again watched your runebound solo last night to remember rules! 😂 Good luck on MMATT, and i've been following Bairnt's channel for years as well, so will catch you over there. Thanks for all your hard work here and introducing me to so many top solo board games. Aw the best to you and Mike and the lads going forward on both channels! 😉
@TotallyTabled 😂😂 I totally did. no idea how that happened. However, that reminds me that I still need to watch this video, as it must have moved on as I was typing so thanks for the heads up. 😄👍🏻
Fantastic video btw! What do you think about the game Oathsworn? I couldn't find a review of it on your channel. I think many people would consider that game to be in top 50 solo board games of all time.
thanks for the awesome and personal list! very much love the comments for each titles. For me i would add : Marvel Champion LCG and Lord of the Rings lcg. These are true gems.
Nice! I hope you enjoy them. I've done playthroughs of both so check those videos out if you haven't. Both are fantastic and underappreciated IMHO. Thanks for watching!
Honestly, I need to play it more before I rank it (I try to play games many times before I make an official rating). So far I've enjoyed it but it wouldn't make a top 50, maybe a top 100 -- but that could change with more plays. Thanks for watching!
It is such a great little card game. Check out my playthrough if you haven't. It is one that I travel with and I've cracked it out at night several times for a quick play. So good. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, Chris!
I've played a few times but I need to play more. It hasn't grabbed me yet, but I think more plays might change that. Thanks for the rec and thanks for watching!
Yes, absolutely. My plan is to do a playthrough for every game on this list. I haven't decided whether to do Nemesis or Nemesis: Lockdown. Maybe both. I love this series. And I guess a new one is coming soon, so that's exciting. Thanks for watching and thanks for supporting the channel!
Outlive has been high on my to-play list for a while now and I'm angry at myself for not tabling it yet. It will happen this year for sure. I have enjoyed my plays multiplayer. Thanks for watching!
Where’s my boy… my sweet sweet child Too Many Bones?! But seriously thank you for the list, been eyeing Mage Knight for awhile now! Appreciate all the b-roll footage during the talking, I know that takes a lot of work!
Yeah, Too Many Bones needs more plays from me. Hopefully next year I'll have a final opinion on it one way or the other. It is high on many people's lists. Thanks for watching!
Great vid with a very good choice of games for everyone!! I saw in many games that chits are enclosed into a transparent shell. Are they from the box or are they sold to pimp the games??
Those are coin containers that are sold separately. I discuss them and other accessories that I use in my Top 10 Accessories video here: ruclips.net/video/tEvrhrVXkEA/видео.html. That has all the info you'll need. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video as always! Keep up the great work, your playthroughs are the ones I love best by far on RUclips (I just bought Bloc by Bloc thanks to you 😉), your channel deserves to be known by every boardgame addict out there!! ❤ Also, I would absolutely love to watch a playthrough from you of At the Gates of Loyang 😃
Thanks for your super kind words! I really appreciate that. My plan is to make playthroughs for all games on my top 50 and eventually top 100. At the Gates of Loyang is high on the to-do list along with A Feast for Odin, and Nemesis. Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel for so long!
@@TotallyTabled That is so good to hear I can't wait for all those!! 😄It is my pleasure to support the channel, your videos are the ones I am most happy to see pop in my RUclips feed! And the quality of your playthroughs make it super nice and easy to dive in the games with you. Actually I just found out about your ko-fi page, so it will be the occasion to (humbly) bring my support to the next level 😉
It's probably my favorite art in board gaming. Hard to say because this hobby has so much great art. Unfortunately, I'm not sure this will ever be printed again. Thanks for watching, Kevin!
I own nine out of fifty. I played Nemesis and Dune with our group. You just confirmed they would be great solo. They are next on my To Play Solo list. Have you played solo SpaceCorps 2025-2300 by GMT?
I haven't tried SpaceCorps solo. I definitely recommend Nemesis and Dune. Check out my playthroughs for more info about them. Thanks for checking out the list!
My goal is to have playthroughs for my entire top 50 and then eventually my top 100. Nemesis is high on the priority list. I might be in the minority of how much I love it solo. Thanks so much for checking out the list, Sven!
What an amazing list! Some thoughts... Ghost Stories - is a game I always wanted but could not find it, the new redesign, even thought I should like it more (I am a huge fantasy fan) somehow it just doesn't look as good for me. Horrified - I want to try it someday. I love the Universal Monsters but I am on the fence because I am not a Pandemic kind of guy and it gets compared with Pandemic a lot. Marvel United - Ok... hear me out... D&D United. Baldur's Gate characters, Book characters like Drizzit just imagine that retheme... yeah... I am just waiting in hopes that becomes a thing. The Bloody Inn - Another one I missed. It was your gameplay video that sold it for me... unfortunately it might be too late to be able to grab that one. From my list: *Lord of the Rings LCG *Space Hulk Death Angel *Warhammer Quest 95 (digital... it might be cheating but it's a lot cheaper 🤣)
I'm with you, I have no interest at all in the redesigned Ghost Stories. Such a shame. Horrified isn't exactly like Pandemic, but might not be your cup of tea. They keep making more Marvel United but I could see them using this system with other IPs. They would be crazy not to. I love the idea of D&D United. Thanks so much for watching!
Bloody Inn was on my list for YEARS and I just never got around to grabbing a copy -- an old roommate had it, so didn't need my own copy for some of that time. Realized only recently that it had become hard to get and now I'm kicking myself for not snagging a copy when I could!
I haven't really considered that to be honest. Tough question. I'll say top 15 for sure, probably top 10. Time will tell. The more I play the more I like it. The same thing happened to Frostpunk -- it kept rising. Thanks for watching!
I need to explore Chip Theory games more. TMB hasn't captured my imagination yet, but I need more plays. The others I haven't played. It's a hole in my resume that I plan to fill. Thanks for watching!
Amazing list! You've definitely piqued my interest about a few games on the list I've never heard of before. Will need to dive into those playthrough videos for sure. Hope you eventually do a video for Dawn of The Zeds, as i saw in another comment you're excited to try that one out. Definitely one of the best solo experiences! I was also surprised that Nemo's War wasn't on the list. Have you played it? Thanks again for another awesome video.
Yes, Dawn of the Zeds is high on the list. I only recently acquired it, so it has been a hole in the collection for a while. Very excited. Nemo's War I need to play more. My few plays have been enjoyable, but not quite clicking yet. More plays might change that. It dragged a bit for more, so it has been hard to get it back to the table. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@TotallyTabled Awesome! It took me quite a while to finally hunt it down and add it to my collection. I love how the rulebooks for the game teach you the mechanics in stages. Huge fan of the game and pumped to see your playthrough when it happens. Nemo's War also took me a while to really get hooked on, but found after a few sessions it became quite addictive. I love the theme and all of the choices the game offers as different paths to victory.
@@stogrady Yeah, I try to play games many times before giving up on them. I've been meh on so many games after the first couple plays, only to have them click after the third or fourth plays -- some of my absolute favorite games, in fact. Hopefully Nemo's War will click with me at some point.
@@stogrady Me too! 3 bad plays of RC but then BLAM, it clicked and I never looked back. It is scary to think of how many great sessions I would have missed out on had I given up on it too early.
Hey! Amazing content, I've been binging your solo playtroughs nonstop! A question, have you considered doing a playtrough of Nemesis? It seems to be widely praised in the solo game department.
Hey, just saw your comment. You might have heard by now but I'm doing a Nemesis playthrough for Halloween. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching and binging the channel, Ricardo!
Excellent video and excellent games, thanks !!! but I feel you miss 'Black Sonata' a clever interesting and unique solo game ;-) Other mention could be for 'Lands of Galzyr' or for 'Under Falling Skies'
What a great list. Soo many games I love as well: SI, Frostpunk, Gloomhaven, Nemesis, Underwater Cities, Sleeping Gods and of course Robinson Crusoe, Glad this one is up very high. I wonder what you think of 7th Continent or Under Falling Sky's. I also loved my solo play of Creature's Comforts and Mansion's of Madness 2nd ed.
Thanks so much! I had a bad first impression of 7th Continent and never returned. I'd like to try it again at some point. I thought aspects were really cool. Under Falling Sky is fun. I need to play more. I'm not much of a fan of MM but Creature's Comforts is great, but I like it better multiplayer. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the sub! Really appreciate that and your kind words!
B-roll is the best I've seen in this industry ever
I agree, I like that the title and designer is at the bottom.
Don’t realize how much I prefer b roll to just having someone talk at me. Great video
This is easily the best top list video I've ever seen. You've put so much effort into making it! Thanks for taking the time to make it so easy to follow and visual. And I agree with all of your games too!
Thank you so much for your generous compliment. I'm happy you enjoyed the list. Thanks for watching!
I really appreciate the time stamps. I re-watch the video for reference and that really helps!
That's great to hear. I'm glad those are useful. I want these videos to be as helpful as possible, so I'll be sure to keep those stamps going. Thanks so much!
Your videos are SOOOO good! So glad it's not just you staring into the camera. The visuals while you narrate is the way to go👍
Thanks! I'm glad you like the video. I appreciate you checking it out.
Great list. The only three games missing, IMO, are Wingspan, Mansions of Madness, and Cascadia. Three great games that are fun to play, Solo. Gloomhaven is my favorite but, Mansions of Madness is just amazing.
Great video. No fluff, just straight-to-the-point and informative enough to give a taste of the games. Well done
Then you will love Ezra and Nehemiah which is coming this year. They came up with the mechanics of Legacy of Yu while designing it.
Wow, what a great list! Stellar video production - I've just subscribed 👍
Thanks for the sub, Eric! I really appreciate the support. It helps so much in terms of growth and getting eyeballs on my videos. I'm glad you enjoyed the list. Be sure to check out the full playthroughs on any games that look interesting. Thanks again!
Great list. I couldn't agree more. 💯I was very satisfied with all the games you introduced!
Especially Robinson Crusoe and Bloody Inn.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the list. I'm always happy to hear love for Robinson Crusoe! Thanks for checking out the video!
Great reviews. Love how you showed the games the whole time!
Thanks! I appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Such a great list. Thank you for sharing
I'm glad you enjoyed the list! Thanks so much for checking it out. Love your content.
@@TotallyTabled thank you!! 😃😃👍
Nice list, I've discovered some new games.
My list would include:
- Too Many Bones
- Imperium Legend
- Nemo's War
- Aeon's End
- Paladins of the West Kingdom
- Everdell
- Raiders of Scythia
- Helionox
- Goblivion
- Atlantis Rising
- Sub Terra
- Marvel Champions
- Dead man tell no tales
- Yggdrasil Chronicles
- Hadrian's Wall
- Gloom of Kilforth
- Wingspan
And many of the games that already were on your list.
Great video, was exactly what I was looking for.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Amazing list and video but, what are those small trays you are using for the tokens ect? I can't find them anywhere.
My number 10 solo Games are :
1/ Robinson Crusoe
2/ Mage Knight
3/ Too many Bones
4/ Cloudspire
5/ Gaia Project
6/ Spirit Island
7/ Burncycle
8/ Hoplomchus
9/ Scythe
10/ Gloom of Kilforth
Very curious on a feast for Odin.
Awesome and very enjoyable video that introduced me to or reminded me of games I want or have been collecting dust on my shelf.
That's fantastic. I'm totally like that -- I see some video of a game and it really motivates me to get it on the table. Hope you play something fun this weekend. Thanks for watching, Charles!
Great list! Too many bones and marvel champions are two of my fav solo games. :)
Yep, you and everyone else. :) Those are definitely the two most popular games left off the list. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video! Instant follow!
@@TotallyTabled I have Robinson Crusoe and I agree. The worker placement portion also reminded me of the Orléans board game.
Well, this one earned you a new subscriber. Well-paced and lucid, that's my jam.
Nice! Those are so fun. I really appreciate you checking out my video. I hope you find something else you'll enjoy.
@@TotallyTabled I had never heard of Warp's Edge before your video but I love bag-building so I found a second-hand copy with the Anomaly expansion and I love it! Now I gotta track down the deluxe upgrades lol
Fantastically made video! Probably not an easy list to put together, either!
Really enjoyed watching this video and learning about your preferences. Thank you for sharing. It's great content. Take care!
Thanks so much, Sergio! I'm happy you enjoyed the video. I appreciate you taking the time to check it out. Have a great day!
Excellent list! 😊
Thanks!
@@TotallyTabled Wow, Thank You so much for the extensive answer, very much appreciated! 😍 Happy Holidays and All The Best of Success for the Future! 🙂

This is a great list! Several of my all-time favorites, including Robinson Crusoe and Pandemic: Iberia (my favorite iteration of Pandemic too), are mentioned. Thanks, Shaggy!
I'm happy you enjoyed it, Bookaddict777. Thanks for watching!
Really good video. Helpful list and you can tell a lot of thought went into it.
I appreciate that. Thanks. I'm glad you found the list interesting and thank you for checking it out!
Great list! A couple of my favorites are on it!
Thanks so much, Peter!
Great list! Surprised not to see any Garphill Game on the list. Would any fall in your next 50?
I would add two:
#1 Under Falling Skies.
It's the one I play often.
#2 Nemo's War (second edition).
If I want to immerse myself in an adventure around the world onboard the nautilus.
Just ordered Halls of Hegra after watching your playthrough … what a sleeper hit that may never see retail
I'm really glad you were able to grab a copy. I'm very sad it won't be more available and I hope it gets more attention and positive word of mouth to get a reprint. I'm very high on Halls of Hegra and I don't think I'm alone. Thanks for watching!
I am surprised that i didn't see Carnegie on this list
Either way, good list!
It was very very close to making it. With a few more plays I could see it rising, but for now it is in the 50-60 range. Great game for sure. Thanks so much for checking out the list!
Awesome list. Great job. I watch a lot of your videos. 🎉
Awesome! Thanks for supporting the channel and watching the videos. I'm happy you enjoy them. Have a great day!
Great editing, thanks for the list!
Appreciate that! Thanks for checking out the list.
Totally makes sense! It happens to me as well...the norwegians expansion It's so good, It makes the game even better. Thanks!!!
@@jotobaja For sure. I'm at the point where I don't play without it, but the base game is fantastic as well. More of a preference thing.
Great work. Pace and visuals are perfect. My collectors Crusoe should arrive soon!
Can't wait for the collector's edition. Really hope it arrives soon. I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Thanks for checking it out, Ryan!
Nice list and tight video! Need to check out Loop as someone who have consumed a great deal of time travel content 😁
Shout out to two games I've been loving solo that was not on the list:
- Hadrian's wall 🧱💂
- Cascadia 🫎🐟🐻🦅🦊
Nice list of recommendations! Thank you for that. I'm especially excited to try Dawn of the Zeds. Thanks for watching!
dawn of the zeds is one of my favorite
I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the rec and thanks for watching my video!
Great list, Shaggy! Thanks for bringing me to The Loop, I love that one.
Thanks for checking it out! So glad you enjoy The Loop! Can't believe that one hasn't gotten more attention.
This is such a great presentation. I just hit subscribe. Thank you very much!
Thanks again and have a great day!
my top 10 is pretty much the same as yours, but i would throw in some of fantasy flights LCG's instead... and i would probably say some lacerda's would be a little higher but still a great list
this is why i like your content, its been great to give me good ideas on what game i might like to add to the collection next because we seem to have very similar tastes
also your video quality is top notch
Thanks! I hope the video helps you discover something new that you'll enjoy. Which FF LCG is your favorite? Thanks so much for watching!
Ok, ok, I finally took the plunge on Robinson Crusoe
@@TotallyTabled Already started going through them!
Arkham Horror board game
Calico
7th Continent
Great list and amazing production as always Shaggi ✌
Thanks, Dan. Appreciate that!
Hi! Love your videos. Can you clarify the best way to play Iberia solo? Thanks for all your hard work!
I play using two random characters and play two handed. It is very simple to manage two characters. Thanks for watching!
Great list and an excellent presentation.

Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Hey, just noticed your comment and I'm guessing you meant to post this on One Stop Co-op Shop. I'll keep it up so you can copy and paste it over.
@TotallyTabled 😂😂 I totally did. no idea how that happened. However, that reminds me that I still need to watch this video, as it must have moved on as I was typing so thanks for the heads up. 😄👍🏻
Hope you enjoy the video!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for supporting the channel for so long! I really appreciate that.
Fantastic Factories (w expansions) over Rawr n Write, for me.
Great list!!
Thanks so much for watching!
Was at a board game auction this weekend and picked up The Loop and The Lost Expedition!
Nice! I hope you enjoy them. I've done playthroughs of both so check those videos out if you haven't. Both are fantastic and underappreciated IMHO. Thanks for watching!
Which rules do you use to play Pandemic Iberia solo?
I usually play two or three handed. All cards in Pandemic are public, so it is easy to solo and feels natural. Thanks for watching!
YOU ARE AWESOME! ❤❤❤
That's very nice. Thank you for checking out the video!
Where would you rank Nemo's War?
Honestly, I need to play it more before I rank it (I try to play games many times before I make an official rating). So far I've enjoyed it but it wouldn't make a top 50, maybe a top 100 -- but that could change with more plays. Thanks for watching!
I have For Northwood coming in. Looks great. Thanks for the list.
It is such a great little card game. Check out my playthrough if you haven't. It is one that I travel with and I've cracked it out at night several times for a quick play. So good. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, Chris!
Where did u get it?
@@utubingit357 Gamenerdz. A local board game store had it in stock, but had sold it when i went to purchase.
Set A Watch by Rock Manor Games! Great solo game that has asymmetrical heros and so fun, crunchy and different!
Was Nemo's War considered or is that a game you haven't played as of yet? It would seem to fit your play style and preferences quite well.
I've played a few times but I need to play more. It hasn't grabbed me yet, but I think more plays might change that. Thanks for the rec and thanks for watching!
Do you plan to do a Nemesis playthrough at some point?
Yes, absolutely. My plan is to do a playthrough for every game on this list. I haven't decided whether to do Nemesis or Nemesis: Lockdown. Maybe both. I love this series. And I guess a new one is coming soon, so that's exciting. Thanks for watching and thanks for supporting the channel!
Would very happily watch both as I still need to decide which is better for solo play before buying! @@TotallyTabled 👍
Awesome. I'll definitely try to get some kind of video together in the next few months.
I highly recomend you solo:Black Orchestra, Raiders of the North Sea wit expansions, Outlive and Tetrarchia.
Also, I would absolutely love to watch a playthrough from you of At the Gates of Loyang 😃
I truly appreciate that. I'm lucky to have a viewer as generous and kind as you!
I believe a couple of games are missing. But the most surprising lack is by far "The Search for Planet X" in this list.
Not surprising. I haven't played it. Thanks for watching!
Ghost Stories looks dope. The title never sold me, but one glimpse at the art did a lot
Super vidéo. Très bon choix de jeux 😊
Thanks, Vince!
A great list presented masterfully
I appreciate that. Thanks so much for checking it out.
Love your content - top quality stuff. Any chance you might fill in some of the missing playthroughs? Nemesis would be awesome to see.
From my list:
*Lord of the Rings LCG
*Space Hulk Death Angel
*Warhammer Quest 95 (digital... it might be cheating but it's a lot cheaper 🤣)
At what position would you add Voidfall in this list?
I haven't really considered that to be honest. Tough question. I'll say top 15 for sure, probably top 10. Time will tell. The more I play the more I like it. The same thing happened to Frostpunk -- it kept rising. Thanks for watching!
Missing Hoplomachus Victorum here, easily in my top five, 😅and some steps down the stairway, Too many Bones. Maybe you don’t like CTG?
@@TotallyTabled Couldn't agree more. Robinson Crusoe was the way for me, but after playing it about a half dozen times I was seriously hooked!
Yep, those are great picks. Thanks for checking out the video!
