I bought the 273eq back in February of this year, love how it sounds on guitar and bass, but the mids and high eq has so much hiss that when I get the guitars to sound a certain way,I can’t use it to record the track.Warm trying to say nothing is wrong with the unit. but when I heard you and many others use the eq section I don’t hear any hiss whatsoever.
I just purchased the WA73-EQ and my knobs for the EQ are nice and tight. Maybe you have to obtain a smile eyeglass screwdriver and tighten the knobs. Nice video!
@@AfterlifeStudios Mine too, got it yesterday and been trying to find out if their crazy loose on mine or everyone else's too. Maybe its a case where the parts have changed slightly over the years or something.
Exactly how you do it. The pre amp converts the microphone level to line level and then the compressor can read that signal and effect it! hope that helps and cheers!
. My device came with three loose potentiometers and there’s so much noise and Hess is kind of unusable if it was $200 it might be worth it but pass on this junk. People tend to rave about it when they haven’t ever used the real thing, so it’s just more Chinese made crap….but it’s called ‘Warm’ so it must make my crappy music warm right?……right?…..get BAE, Heritage Audio, Audioscape etc…..just pass on the junk….
I have to say on mine while I agree with you on the craftsmanship (they definitely need improvement there) the sound of it has be decent. While it is no neve, I think it has some really cool textures. As far as the hiss you are getting I don’t have that problem mine has been decently noise free. All in all I think it’s a good way to try out the different saturations that the higher end pres give you and get an idea what you like to move towards those pres. I appreciate your insight

I would take it back because the Q knobs on mine are perfect.
Interesting 🤔 mine are pretty lose still but I’ve learned to live with it. Great pre though, I’m super impressed with warm audio

It seems to be the pots and not the knobs themselves. Good look though!!!!
mine are annoyingly loose
The knobs are not suppossed to have that much give. I have the same unit and my knobs are stiff and tight. It may be a slight defect on that unit.
That’s weird, Might just be my unit

Your not crazy it is definitely loose on most units, but hey for the audio quality I will take somewhat loose knobs😁
Awesome video! Love that Mesa
Thank you😁 can’t beat a Mesa❤️
Dope
Thanks my dude, trying to step it up❤️
How do I connect to them? The microphone is connected to 73EQ and then compassor?

I’ll save everybody the trouble after reading the thumbnail… They are crap….
