The detail I really like about SF6's version is the care it gives to the preparation before the punch. Like "ok idiot, you thought I was trying before, now I'm actually going to punch you *hard*"
2:46 As I have said in previous videos, the Marvel VS Capcom Infinite version is my personal favorite. That is not the most brutal version but it is the one that best defines Ryu as a character. Good work MVCI 👍
Good innovative exclusive idea tragically locked in a dead bad game. I'm not sure if SF games will ever do something like that... It looks like it can only happen in a crossover. And the only long running crossover was MvC. There are no big chances of seeing a Capcom crossover in the near future.
Of all of Ryu’s Shin/Metsu Shoryuken’s, SF4 is simply the best out of them all You can really feel the raw power and intensity of that final Shoryuken punch so hard that it absolutely breaks his poor opponents jaw before launching them to the air, absolute brutal yet glorious at the same time hence why it is the best for me 😁👍👍👍👍👍
Suggestions: Tatsumaki-like moves in fighting games (spinning hit with one stretched leg), Psycho Crusher-like moves in fighting games (flying in straight line with arms foward), Tiger Knee-like moves in fighting games (jumping knee-only hit), Stretching arm/leg powers in fighting games, Fire blowing moves in fighting games.
sf4 had some of the best cinematic animations by far. ryu’s metsu shoryuken, Oni’s both UCs, akuma’s UC2… they had the best animators working on the game
I like the SFVI version in this video. "Oh, Cammy, you still get up after that? Try the one with electric next." My personal favorite is the SFIV version. The way the opponent body float after first hit .... then followed by a bone-breaking punch ... sending the opponent fly high .... *chef kiss* .... ........ as long as I am not the one on receiving end.
Yeah, it's apart of a 18+ parody series from the 90s. It started from Strip Fighter 2, which was decent and abit of hints of nudity. The later games slightly improved the gameplay and added more nudity in it.
Ahh the good ole ShinSho although the biggest standout to me is the MvC: Infinite ultra version menially fighting back the killing intent and SF6 making it shock his foes as well to show how far our good friend Ryu has come in matters of maturity
Not only in the TvC version but in SF3 as well. That's one benefit from supers that are not cutscenes, before the SF4 era. It's possible to design them to allow followups for optimizing. And that actually exists since SF2 supers, for some moves. Cutscene supers only enrich the presentation but lose something in gameplay.
@@carlosaugusto9821I mean, they were not entirely lost. Gouki, kage both had dp supers that were combo able afterwards to some degree. sf6 Ken dp super even allows for 2 hits afterwards. And on an less related note so does Jamie's non ca lvl 3 as well as the classic sa2 in sf6. While perhaps less common than third strike. Post super combo optimisation definitely exists still in some capacity. Especially for Ken in sf6 I feel, as you can trade a little of the super's raw dmg by using a combo route that doesn't give the full cinematic (most dp cancels actually do not give you full cinematic hit at specific heights), to go for a post super combo route that builds meter and typically can lead to better corner carry and oki.
Another one was in Asura's Wrath Ryu DLC and Asura also did a couple. One sends Ryu to the moon and in another he uppercuts with each of his 6 arms in a row before Ryu is sent flying.
Happy Father's Day! 🎉 0:18 Golly! 😍 I think I'll go investigate more about this game 😁 Thank you XiaoQuan for introducing me to new games 👍 You are the best!
To me one small but important detail that makes the SF versions usually the superior versions is how far high the opponent flies. For example in the Marvel versions the opponent never fly enough. The move became much more intense and flashy in MvC3 and MvCI but that effect is softened by how quickly the opponent drops down. CvS had very poor versions, and SvC has one of the worst ones ever. And i wont judge in the same way the versions where Shin Srk is only an ex move, as they are not really supposed to be long and very intense like a super. I was only comparing the supers.
The SF4 shoryuken isn’t a Shin Shoryuken it’s actually Metsu, Shoryuken they are sorta the same but just the fact that metsu is well more violent I guess ya know. (For ryu)
Yup, was going to comment this as well. I figured maybe they were just including moves that followed the general Shin Shoryuken formula (since it's across so many other non-SF games), but if they're going to include the SFIV Metsu Shoryuken they should also include Kage's from SFV.
I like Goukens version alot from SF4. And the one version that i don't believe gets enough credit because visually the game was bad is when Ryu breaks free of the satsiu no hado in the middle of the shin shoryuken animation in MVC INFINITE. That's a bad ass level 3. I hope somehow it can be brought back into for street fighter or marvel vs capcom games.
Okay this is a petty thing but it bugs me every time people showcase Ryu's final smash in these compilations and don't show it off at kill percent, you only get half the spectacle If it kills, it has the same KO effect from street fighter 4, same orange color and everything
He says 受けてみろ (ukete miro). Literally means "try to defend/take [this move]", but a more natural translation would be something like "here it comes" or "take this".

The SF4 version is just so nasty. The opponent's face as their body just floats after the first hit....perfection.
2:46 As I have said in previous videos, the Marvel VS Capcom Infinite version is my personal favorite.

I like smash version more. It's paced better
I love hitting Yuri's Shin Chou Uppa in KOF 98. It does a lot of damage even if you aren't in powered up mode. It's pretty easy to combo into.
Him doing it to sonic in the thumbnail is why I’m here. Thank you.
Drink a shot everytime Ryu's sprite animations are reused by Capcom.
You would feel slightly woozy, now drink everytime Capcom reused Morrigan's sprite before MvC3

SF4's painting art is a chef kiss.
3rd strike,cvs2, sf4 are the best imo
The look on sonic's face as his chin rests on Ryu's fist is sooo funny.

Street Fighter 4 will always have the best version of "Shin Shoryuken" than any other Iteration out there.
They call that one the back alley dentist because Ryu has a look at your teeth before they shatter.
Idk, I think the impact of SF6's Shin Shoryuken is pretty damn good
@@mr.b5663 not as good, sf4 one is simpler and has more impact, even the gouken one is better maybe

@@mr.b5663 I'd say its the buildup that makes his SF4 version better. Not that his SF6 version isn't good. Sound plays a huge part too.

I dunno why. But I just started bursting out laughing over the fact there’s a game called “Strip Fighter 5”

In TVC, you can combo after he does the shin shoryuken, so good in many situations, it has so many invincible frames.

Funniest sounding one. Do you freaking hear Ryu just going ALL IN on that version?? Just like SHO!!! RYU!!!! KEEEEEEEN!!!! 😂😂
The thumbnail though 🤤
Kage's Shin Shoryuken is the best one yet it isn't here
I recently discovered that the Shin Shoryuken also utilize the knee so not only are you getting a uppercut but a knee to the gut.
I'll pick SF6 first then SF4 😁 Both of 'em hit hard tho 😆
The loading up and muscle flexing in the SFVI version puts it over the top for me
I coughed when I saw the Fantasy Strike adaptation, I wasn't expecting that.
...there's also Yashiro Nanakase's Upper Duel in KoF; it's not a super move though, just a special move.

Street fighter 4, MVC3 and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite are the 3 best out of all of them.

Good stuff, the only one I can think of that's missing is Kage's Metsu Shoryuken from SFV
Yeah street fighter 4 is the best. The fact that ryu launches the opponent into the air so they fall onto the second fist is highly important.
