yeah, that actually matters. Melting sea ice (e.g. ice at the north pole) does NOT raise the sea level. But this research come from the same people that measure emissions from an electric car at the car and not the powerplant, and then conclude an electric car has zero emission. It comes from the people that think its abnormal that the climate changes, while it would be abnormal if it would not. Ice is melting in antarctica, yet sea levels did not rise. Maybe its because they film in the summer when the ice melts and show that, and don't show winter... There was a global warming from 1880 till 1940 they never mention...etc etc. If millions of people would have to be displaced, then no problem. Antarctica is a great place to live.

If it melted, wouldn’t the sea level drop a bit? Just because Ice is expended water and the ice is already in the water so when it melts it should take up less space. If you put a glass of water in the freezer untill it freezes, does it rise or lower… it rises of course, and when it melts, it lowers.
