Who else is guilty of not washing your brushes as often as you should be 🙋🏼♀️actually I’m slacking on it all! Time to go on an adventure with Tati’s favorites list 🙌🏼
Tati. Your content is you... But elevated. It's really hard to explain. I have been a long time follower but something about your recent content has really opened my eyes and given me a deeper sense of who you are. Thank you so much for the tips and tricks!
For years I blamed my own face for creasing in the eye area (under eye and lid). I finally realized my eye cream (though lovely for night time) had a significant amount of oil in it; oil breaks down makeup. I switched creams for makeup application and never had a creasing problem again. Tati is so good with these tips love!
Although im normally not a big fan of glossier, their new eye cream is so underrated and really helps with creasing and wear time. I tell all my clients about prepping their under eye with something light weight like theirs. You can use it AM and PM :)
That is actually a really good argument for a dedicated eye cream. I've been team 'it's skin, my regular moisturizer will do just fine' so far. But I totally can't wear concealer under my eyes without it breaking down and creasing.
Oh Tati! We live in Texas, DFW area, and we had squirrels inside our walls. From the video, I am 99% sure you guys are having the same problem. We had to call a special guy to come and get them out. He put a trap, and then we had to seal our vents on the roof with flashing all over. It was expensive, but a must do. You do not want any of them to bite into cables and cause a fire, or eat through the insulation.
I am such a flannel junky and I think the pattern/color of the shirt you are wearing right now is making all of your lovely features look even lovelier today. I feel like you look like absolute perfection today! Thanks for posting yet again when I need you the most. Love you lady!❤
I love some of these tips. One thing I will disagree on is the sunscreen. Usually, the spray sunscreen isn't enough spf coverage unless you drench your face.
The video quality is so clear!! Damn!! I needed this video. Just something to cheer me up. (yay for being a few months short of 40 with some major fertility issues) I just watched your first live on replay this morning to just distract me. There's a sense of familiarity about you, like oh im just listening to my friend tati talk about makeup. We've been "friends" since the OG days of camera on your balcony and just listening to you talk about makeup tips just eases my heart from the heaviness i feel. So thanks for that.
Thank you for being my makeup mom and reminding me about my brushes, Tati. I’m embarrassed to admit the last time I cleaned my brushes and had been meaning to do it forever. meanwhile, I’ve been feeling like my makeup just never looks “right” lately or is more annoying to apply and I totally overlooked how that could be a culprit! I think I also need to get my eyebrows redone bc I can never get them how I want them to look. Has anyone gotten their eyebrows tinted and laminated? Did you like the results? Thanks in advance 😊
So happy for this video as an escape been having a horrific week after a house fire in our family home of 5 generations. Sometimes you just need an emotional escape ❤love you Tati 🦋
@@Queenmarie88 thank you so much not a total loss thankfully just the upstairs that needs to be gutted and thank God no one injured. Fortunately one of the firefighters moved a hope chest full of family heirlooms of my grandmother and great grandmothers out of the path of the fire and despite a bit of smoke damage they were saved. We are so grateful! All the other items can be replaced ❤️
Great video Tati, love this kind of content when you actually explain and teach us about applying makeup, one can never stop learning about different techniques. Thank you for sharing your knowledge here and it’s so great to have you back where you belong on RUclips. Cheers from Australia ❤️❤️
I DEFINITELY did not know about removing the tacky glue around the falsies before applying omg! Certainly not intuitive - thank you for that helpful tip!❤🦋
9:39 I love Ole Henriksen’s lip peptide treatment, the original as my morning and night time. Living in Winnipeg, MB Canada I’ve always had bad dry chapped lips - used vaseline for forever until I found this ❤️😘🇨🇦
Zote soap is awesome to clean your brushes, puffs, sponges. I use a clean container that used to be a butter tub or something to store the zote soap in. If you trim lashes trim the outer part not the inner part. I struggle with my liner because my eyes are downturned so I do my eyes first so if I screw up my eyeliner I’ve not messed up my entire look. I can start over or clean up the area easier. I have very very thin lips and it’s hard to wear deep lipstick colors, I smudge the outer part instead of using lipliner because the harsh line on tiny lips doesn’t look good. Magnetic lashes are way easier to use if you struggle to glue them on.
Tati, you are glowing girl. You look like you're at peace. Whatever it is, keep being true to yourself & do you. Greetings from Canada. Gold bless. Love your beautiful shirt. Great video as usual.🤗
Tati!! Whatever you did for your makeup today, write it down and repeat!! You always look amazing but today you look extra seamless and glowing, it's lovely!!
@@actually_abi Came to say the same thing!!! I would love to see a tutorial on this look and I loved 🥰 Tati’s tips and tricks. I always have 💗 Hope your day is going great 😊
Thank you for a great video! I really appreciate that you highlighted the importance of clean brushes! I see so many creators here on RUclips that have the gnarliest brushes and sponges! I spot clean my brushes during the week and do a real clean on the weekend. I understand that when working with makeup as a creator it can result in many brushes, and cleaning them can be boring and time consuming. But in the end it’s worth it! Thanks for the q - tip trick! 💕
I can’t remember the technical name of that tin swatch brush cleaner thingy, but I was just wondering if you ever need to clean that and how you would go about doing that
I am chronically dehydrated and used to be addicted to lip treatments. For the past year I have been applying lactic acid to them at night and one of my facial serums in the morning. I hardly ever have chapped lips anymore. Dr. Idris also has a RUclips short video on 'lip basting' where she uses glycolic acid and then 'bastes' her lips in moisturizer overnight. I hope this helps, since it made a huge difference for me (drinking free water is still apparently too hard for me ;)
I’ve been a follower/admirer for so long and I’m so excited for this chapter of your life. You just, I dont know look happier and a little more care free♥️ happiness suits you!!
For lip treatment, I really wish you would try Bepanthen(provitamin B5)🤯. It does the same as the AB, but it’s on Amazon & a tube is around $7-9 & it will hydrate, plump, & I haven’t had to exfoliate ever since using it. I literally keep it in my office & give it to my patients now after fillers & 100% of them are now switched to the Bepanthen(Provitamin b5). It’s a product for toddlers & that means safe for everyone. With fly always, I would try the new Fenty fly away balm, comes with a comb too.
I need help with watery eyes! It's so annoying I set my under eyes and then a few minutes later my eyes will start to water, especially when I first step outside.ive tried not setting my under eyes or lightly set and it's almost worse. It's so obnoxious I have to babysit my under eyes all day.
Love this type of video! I would enjoy a lash application video for beginners. I love the way lashes look but I struggle with applying them so I never wear them.
For your fries hair, get yourself the k18 leave in molecular repair hair mask. Game changer! May not have the immediate results for flyaways and stuff that a pomade or something may have, but for the health of that damaged hair, it's so good, and you definitely notice a difference quickly
On the ends where my hair gets fried sometimes I'll use a spray moisturizer, I like the one from Loreal, and I also like the Caviar CC cream or the 10 in one spray. I put a couple sprays on my hand, rub my hands together and then apply it just to those areas where the hair is dry. It really helps and I think it soaks in and helps for multiple days as well.
Love this throw back type content! Just an interesting thing to note for those who feel this is “repetitive” or too OG Beaty guru stuff: a 16 year old watching this video (in 2024) was 10 in 2018. Time to dust off the OG tips and bring this great info to a new generation . Thanks Tati for helping us all up our makeup game! ❤
I love you Tati! Your makeup looks great! I have a tip, but it’s for makeup. I have always heard to not put any blush or contour below the nose because it pulls your face down, when you put everything from the nose up it lifts your face. ❤
❤ I have been loving the new Mac Fix+ Stay Over . I'm 46 w/combo skin. This setting spray replaced my old favorite, Becca Skin Love, (also alcohol free but discontinued). Until Mac introduced the new F+SO I couldn't find an alcohol free option that looked good. It really works!
You can put some castor oil around hairline to work throughout the night before washing for breakage . Then you can use a hair mascara like product to keep the flyaway short hairs in place.
Hi Tati 🎉 always so happy to see a new Tati video. I always have one of those makeup remover cloths handy to knock off the product from my brushes, works great. I am going to try the eco brush cleaner with the cloth it should work good too.
A hairstylist torched my hair every where and it took six months to get it looking better. I used deep conditioner every wash and also used the Bond repair Salve by Curlsmith. I also oiled my hair on those ends prior to washing. Hope that helps ❤️
Tati, I just have to say I’m so thankful for your presence lately on RUclips, insta and TikTok. It’s been refreshing to have these updates as I go about my week! ☀️
So sorry to hear that you have a critter inside your walls/attic! I had the same thing before, and it can be costly to get rid of the critters. Good luck!
Thanks for the tips. Here’s my favorites from the influencers I think I heard them…Lisa d, keep a Mac makeup wipe on the counter so you can wipe your makeup brushes as you go; Alex used eyeshadow primer on her eyelashes before mascara, I tell everyone that one! Deepti (spell?) primer, foundation, then primer again for areas that you still have big pores, and Wayne for setting spray on brush or at least with foundation that you apply directly to skin; tight lining with a wide brush not tiny one and I forget who….❤
I have a round face, no cheekbones to speak of. I have trouble with bronzer placement. Would love a video on makeup placement for differently shaped faces.
Good morning tati! Fof your baby hairs, Nexxus makes a great smoothing hair stick. You just run it over wherever your baby hairs are and it will lay them down and they can still continue to grow out. Hope you're doing well!
Not exactly a lip treatment, but the best lip balm I’ve found are the tubes from eos. They’re pretty cheap (under $4 each) and they last me a while even though I feel like I use it a lot. Another thing I do when my lips are extra dry and chapped is to use a little of my eye cream on them before the lip balm. The best eye cream is the one from Believe Beauty. Unfortunately it’s only available at Dollar General but it’s $5 and it did some sort of magic on my eyes. I used to have really deep and dark wrinkles from squinting and one tube of that stuff erased them. It’s phenomenal. Would highly recommend anything from Believe’s skincare line if you have a DG nearby but the gold tube mascara and the foundation are also great (a little conflicted on the concealer lol)
Washed my brushes yesterday 😊. A great at home lip scrub that feels good afterwards and tastes good is coconut oil, sugar and honey. Got this from Glam Girl Gabi ❤
Ok so I had given up on applying false lashes because I never could get them to apply how I wanted them to. I never knew you were supposed to take the glue off before you apply.. so yeah.. this video just changed my life. Thank you for sharing!! I love all things beauty, but this one somehow slipped through the cracks because I had no idea! Wow. I’m going to apply some now. Love you!!
For flyaways from a chemical haircut: the R+Co Dart pomade stick is effective and super portable. I am never without it because grays along my part have a damn mind of their own!
I have a specific brush that is never used for product and exclusively for feathering out the edges of blending. I think it’s a concealer brush, but it’s special forces now 😂
