I know they’re already on part 5 or whatever, but the man who saved Josuke is just a delinquent that had a heart of gold. He’s not meant to be Josuke and was never intended to be. The point of the flashback is what it is at face value. The man saved him and it inspired Josuke so much he decided to copy his hairstyle.
Why was this guy who saved josuke was all bloody in the middle of a snowstorm ? Im sure that guy has no relation with the story but i think araki put this man to fuck with us. Notice they didn't even add voice to that unknown man . Instead they showed subtitles in slideshows to make us even more invested about that scene.

Araki had intentions to tie that to the Bites The Dust arc but he couldn't tie it and make all the characters/story in a way that he or his readers would be satisfied with
He said he left it ambiguous in case the BTD arc time travel thing was a flop and I guess it was so its supposed to be face value which is also really good

You might come across people in this comment section saying that it was intended for this scene to showcase Josuke going back in time. It's not.
It's not a spoiler because Araki said it on an interview during part 4's publication that the man in question is not Josuke and is irrelevent to the overall plot of the part.
The goal of this scene is to demonstrate the ''golden spirit of Morioh'' by showing how an injured delinquent (supposedly coming back from a fight) still decides to help a mother and her sick child in a blizzard. Josuke will inherit the spirit of his hero along with his hair to commemorate this selfless action.
(also if we look closely the school jacket of the delinquent doesn't have the same pins on the collar and lacks the heart shape chest oppening)
Yeah, I was gonna mention his jacket is fairly different than Josuke's

@@ashcole4122 you can read it on manga sites, i believe. recently, there was a tv series of Rohan made by Japan, it is really awesome, so i recommend watching

I see a lot of reactors over-analyzing the "Josuke in the blizzard" scene, saying that was Josuke who went back in time to save himself. This is not the case. This misinterpretation just comes from not knowing about the "yankee" culture in Japan. Yankee or punk, those rebelling against authority was a big culture in the 70s and 80s. Many teens and people in their 20s had that type of hair that Josuke has. The hair style is called Riizento (came from Regent St in London)... in English, the hairstyle is known as ducktail (a la Elvis) but the Japanese put their own spin on it. Anyway, also back in those days of 70s and 80s, inter-high school fights were a thing, kind of like how you saw these gang fights depicted in West Side Story, except this was at a high school level. The strongest guy of the school is called bancho (番長) and often these inter-high school fights ended up with bancho of one school fighting another to prove their superiority. So back to JoJo... what probably happened in the blizzard scene is that the Josuke-lookalike was involved in a fight earlier - thus the blood. And just when he was walking back from the fight, he sees a lady in a car, stuck in the snow. The rest is history.
I regretted every instance of insulting Josuke’s hair after this episode.

You gotta remember the story was told in Koichi's perspective and since he didn't know how the man looks he just think it looks like josuke

you have to bear in mind koichi's own words... some details of that story has holes, and he filled them with his own conjectures. we, the watcher, see that guy as being josuke, but thats koichis version of that story tho. pay attention to the clothes under the school uniform. josuke and not josuke have different colours
no guys ,guy that saved josuke can’t be himself for 3 reasons , 1its confirmed that he is not josuke ,2 the longest time travel you can do is 1 hour by a stand you can’t go back that much ,3 (I find this myself) josuke was sick because of dio getting stand ,awakend every joestar’s stands and josuke can’t control his stand just like holy and we now that in the end you will die if you be sick because of your stand and if this man never exist josuke was died and if this guy is josuke he can’t be healty because if josuke was dying there how can he grow up and come back? he will be dead so he can’t be future josuke ,future josuke can’t exist if josuke was never grow up and died at age 4 (edit:3rd reason was too complicated I hope you can understand😂😂 and josuke copied his style because this man was injuried for some reason abd his injuries are so bad but even he was that injuried he helped josuke and this was so heroic for josuke that he copied his style)
