The attic was a wasted space, so I thought I would get some use out of it. I did not want to break the bank by having a proper conversion so I had a go myself. Please note that this conversion was not to building regs.

Very nice job and it looks great. Ignore any disrespectful comments from "tradesmen" who might feel threatened by your DIY efforts.

What was the span from wall to wall and was there a supporting wall in the middle? Looking to do something similar

Looks great. Who cares if its legally passable as a living space? I'm also creating a "climate controlled storage space" in my attic. when you need the space you need the space.

Hi, yes there is now a door at the bottom of the stairs. Will show this in the next video when we show how we renovated the bedrooms and landing.

there's no way that meets regs

That’s absolutely correct mate as stated in the description. We done this for ourselves and we know its not classed as another bedroom if we was to sell the house. We done this on a budget literally just for the extra space 👍🏼

Congratulations. What a nice compliment for all their hard work and the effort they put in to post the video. 🙄How about: "Great job on the loft and it looks nice but would that meet standard building regulations for a certified living space?"

@@MadLFChow I choose to comment is entirely my choice. Even a cursory glance and research will give better results so, no, I didn't feel the need to write fake platitudes

@@sygad1 Maybe you should be more observant. They stated quite clearly this conversion was not up to building regulations.
