So amazing to see this now. I went to school here from 1994-1999 when it was a school as a really young kid, it was the most magical place with amazing people. The memories that were made now locked in those grounds forever will be treasured by so many people make this place priceless. Lovely to see its new life today! It’ll be £4 million, because it’ll be hard work to clean and it is most likely a fairly old build. But if you don’t mind breaking a sweat every once in a while and you like old builds, this is an unreal buy. Beautiful.
This place is massive, reminds me of the house my father's friend lived in when I was a kid, it was as big as this or bigger and only two people lived in it, it was amazing and ridiculous at the same time. Aside from being a maintenance nightmare, I really like it and the price isn't bad.

The room off the front entrance is an Arboretum meant for tropical palms, an Oranry were seperate buildings, also meant with large glass door so the Orange trees could be moved outside for the summers. Yes both tropical plants, but diffrent, The Arboretum might have had at one time a water feature before the renovations, So a Adams style cieling in the formal Living/ lounge (in the day Parlor) Room, a trayed jacobean cieling in the formal Dining room, with victorian fireplace surround of the 1860-70s, Library with Jacobean cieling, guessing the current kitchen is in the old Brakfast dinning room with that lovely fireplace, Upstairs very American contempory with old granduer touches, but all the modern amenities!!! Its a lovelt property!!!
Oranges are NOT tropical. They don't do that well in frost, and snow would kill them, but they would do fine in Southern England. The biggest problem might be too much rain. I grow oranges and get frosts every winter. About 4 nights as low as -6° C and lots of normal frosts. Have lemon and orange trees. Some types do better than others in cold, but my lemon tree produces huge numbers of lemons.
Orangery...and yes oranges are tropical and sub tropical trees..sending this message from Florida. An orangery is a building where you would bring your citrus trees inside to protect them from frost.
Beautiful house, but too labyrinth like for me. However if I had 20 adopted girls I would be happy to live here. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms! No arguments about who is going to use the toilet and bathroom first thing in the morning! But I would have to use a state of the art GPS to find my way around this place! Including the gardens!
The price to upkeep this and maintain the old buildings would be insane. I would personally have that commercial building constantly rented out for weddings weekends, have a disco there every Friday and in the week have the office spaces rented to a company just to generate the income to upkeep the maintenance. Never mind what council tax and bills for heating and electricity. Mind though I haven’t turned on my heating in years so I could probably cut that bill. This is a great buy depending on the location and infrastructure of the house. It must cost a fortune to heat and maintain. The water availability and quality is unknown as well. But it’s a fabulous building and property with a load of potential. Are there annual property taxes as well? Wonder what the total cost is, if they have oil, gas, or electric heat?

The whole estate was pretty nice and then fumbled down hard in the master bedroom. She had that brilliant cover, "So regal". And it was all broken up too. Going to need to throw $4M and add in a total remodel of everything in the master suite.
This is my dream home jobs, I’d get my license to perform weddings, have a publishing company, wedding venue, custom dresses, suits, possibly open a restaurant, could hold church, land could breed dogs. It’s just beautiful, I’m so in love with it.

Property is amazing. The presenting could do more work though. Its so dry and seems as though they're winging half of it.
The whole estate was pretty nice and then fumbled down hard in the master bedroom. She had that brilliant cover, "So regal". And it was all broken up too. Going to need to throw $4M and add in a total remodel of everything in the master suite.
