@@Beandiptheredneck cool man, glad you like going relatively slow, burning up shit loads of fuel and enjoy getting stuck and having your bros pull you out... as for me I like flying like the damn wind, we have machines that make wild men even wilder.. a bronco in deep snow is not really one of them.
Love your Bronco it brings back memories. Got mine new in 78 and put 79 grill and headlights on it. We mudded in summer and played in the snow in winter. Be safe and have fun.👍
Sweet video, awesome wheeling all around, lots of action! That 4runner was impressive. Less weight front chains and front locker helped I'm sure. But you and Russell's trucks were looking good!
Lil tip for putting on chains, find your link your gonna hook to. Then lose chain that hangs put it over the hook first then hook the link so the extra isn't flopping around. I drive logging truck and I find doin this helps keep the fender from getting ripped off
What was flopping on the bronco was a broken cross link, and I didn't have cutters to cut it all the way off, the toyota also had a broken front one that you can see swinging around in the video
Brain thanks for sharing this outdoor video, 😉, good thing you'all travel in bunches, hadn't been for them, YOU'LD be in big trouble stuck out there alone,🤯😱😵 also jus a suggestion, if I were you, I certainly throw on some chains on your front axels as well, jus to be safe, you shouldn't need to be shoveln that much, other than that, great VIDEO, be safe out THERE.✌️💯👍 take care.😉
Very cool. Subbed. I had a 1984 Toyota 4x4 with relatively rare 2.2l diesel engine. Truck got crazy fuel mileage, but was a total dog. I bought it in rough shape and restored it back to road condition. 2.2 was not known for much. Very cool though.
Been watching this build on insta from the beginning, Dude. That thing is awesome! Looks pretty damn capable in the snow, you running any tunes on it or just stock? Definitely gotta see more videos on RUclips of wheeling that thing
Very true, what this ended up being was the EBPV was doing odd things, trying to close, then open when driving, Unplugged it and it stayed open with no issues!
That thing is freaking awesome I am working on a 79 bronco right now unfortunately not a power stroke conversion can you imagine if you had chains on all four and lockers
Very bad advise, the front axles are only designed to handle 1/2 the engine hp/torque. Hence the smaller axles in the front. Very good way to grenade a front axle unless you have a Dana 60 front in a 1/2 ton.
I've seen people chain up all 4 tires at the same time no issues. Can shot happen that will grenade your front diff while wheeling absolutely. But there is no wrong way to chain up in my opinion.
You probably subscribed for the Cummins Bronco, This is the Powerstroke Bronco, it has not been on youtube before except 1 video of weatherstrip install
@@brianbormes6540 Oh I see, well either way. Defaintly cool, I shared your video to the 78/79 bronco Facebook fanpage. I Look forward to seeing more bronco videos
I might powestroke swap my bronco. It’s a 1992 though. I do want to put a newer superduty bumper on it. And custom build the interior. That truck is a beast. I want to maybe do what Debo’s garage is doing and catapiller swap it. That’ll be cool
You guys would be better off chaining the front axle but all 4 if you have a second set of chains like the 4 runner & I have! Dig the 79 Bronco... really all the rigs in this video! The one looks like a HiLux.
*Love the Bronco. But does anyone know the exact color tan or beige on that Toyota pickup? Looks close to military tan. Looking for the color for an ATV paint job*
I saw you had your tracks for sale on CL. Did you sell them? Do you still have your Fummins Bronco? I really like the 7.3L Powerstroke. I know it is a lot of work to video a build from start to finish, but it would be amazing to watch you build a vehicle from start to finish.
If you only have one set of chains, put them on the front. I was curious why none of these guys did that. I go elk hunting in the mountains with a bone stock half ton chevy. When the snow is deeper than my bumper i put them on all four, other than that, just on the front.
Not a good idea cause wide tires makes bigger resistance to moving in heavy snow. You might want try use narrow tires, because even chains does not help your wide tires.
Is that red flatbed f250 a gasser??? Hard to tell sometimes when u step on the gas on 6.0 liter powerstrokes they sound like that to with certain exaust
Nonsense, People off road heavy rigs all the time, this weighs less than my cummins bronco and I off road the crap out of that thing. Obviously different conditions favor light or heavy rigs but I never seem to have any more issues than a light toyota next to me. This is Automatic
@@brianbormes6540 yeah thats true i prefer my 7.5 big block bronco lol, i do more mud than rocks though so thats a big difference. i find with a heavy front end the front axle just sinks and i get stuck easier. if im not mistaken the 460 is like 400lbs lighter, maybe more? how does your truck do on the road, i got low gears on my f350 and anything above 65mph and im over revving the motor. what axle gear ratio are u running?
How did you get hold of the Godzilla engine when it's only been out for a few months, if any time at all? Either you have a contact at Ford, found an insurance write off in a scrap yard, or one fell of the back of a lorry. Either way, you're lucky to get one.
Cool build. Lighter rigs are so much better for snow wheeling tho. Cheers!
Don't buy $10,000 snowmobile get a $2000 4×4 and have a blast
Or get a used $2000.00 snowmobile, go way faster, don’t get stuck, and have ALOT more fun.

Man that's some beautiful scenery while having fun
Awesome and classic build, Brian. But before you go out Bonney stomping you need to get yourself a winch.
That 4runner kicked ass because of light weight big tires the right gearing and most importantly lockers on all 4's!!! Until the axles broke....ha

It helps to keep your head in the truck and feel the ruts far in front of you. Nice truck! I had a 95 f250 that was sweet

The electronic throttle pedal can act up when the plug connection is loose or worn out. It can make the throttle really jumpy especially off idle.

Nothing goes as good as a Toyota
That thing is freaking awesome I am working on a 79 bronco right now unfortunately not a power stroke conversion can you imagine if you had chains on all four and lockers

Normally on a deezle the chains would go on the front where the weight is. But it sure looks hella fun!

All the way around yes, just front? Not advised unless you like tow bills and huge repair bills.
Put a detroit locker in the back and you will be amazed what an improvement it is in all conditions.
