My rankings are currently:
1: Iron Gwazi
2: Steel Vengeance
3: Lightning Rod
4: Iron Rattler
5: Twisted Timbers
6: Storm Chaser
7: Twisted Cyclone
8: WW golden lasso
9: Jersey devil coaster.
1-4 are my overall 1-4, then 5 and 6 are also top ten, so I can definitely say I am RMC biased. 😅

RMC is no doubt a very special manufacturer who is leaving their mark on the amusement park industry. I can safely say I never plan a trip around an RMC but I do enjoy them a lot. I can't say as I've ridden too many but here's my list -
1. Steel Vengeance: excellent! what else can I say! Height, speed, length, airtime and is built on the remains of one of my favorite woodies (mean streak)
2. New Texas Giant: I loved this ride! Great airtime, tunnels, long ride time, and I actually enjoyed seeing what they could do without inversions.
3. Twisted Colossus: didn't duel whenever I rode it but was an amazing ride. Not as high or as fast but really really solid ride
4. Storm Chaser: I have a soft spot for this one as it was my first RMC and still holds up to this day. Great first drop, wonderful airtime, and maintains its speed well.
5. Twisted Cyclone: Good mid-tier RMC with nice inversions and airtime. It lacks a standout element to me personally.
6. Jersey Devil Coaster: I enjoyed this one but many coasters do everything it does better. It's not my #1 for airtime, inversions, smoothness, length, or first drop so therefore it's lower on the list.
7. Goliath (SFGAmerica): This one has a fantastic inversion but the first drop is slightly disappointing and it's WAY too short of a ride.
Note: Iron Gwazi was closed when I went to Busch Gardens Tampa on Jan 2, 2023.
Steel Vengeance is undoubtedly incredible, but I personally prefer Iron Gwazi for the ridiculous pacing and intensity. Steel Vengeance’s length is amazing, but Iron Gwazi’s length is satisfactory considering it’s intensity and pacing. My #1 and #2. I’m going to ride Zadra this July, can’t wait!
Well i haven't done the american ones jet Venegance is planned for september but Zadra is my opinion the best coaster in Europe so have fun.
Enjoy Zadra, I have ridden SteVe, Gwazi, Untamed, Wildfire and Zadra. Well Zadra is easily the best I've ridden and I prefer Gwazi and Zadra intensity and pacing over SteVe length and A LOT of airtime but it was repetitive and already a bit painful
@@extrakubik4123 yeah, I felt the same way about the pain on Steel Vengeance but I’ve ridden every other RMC that I’ve ridden for the first time after, so when I go back to CP this year I’ll decide if it’s painful to me.
@@extrakubik4123 interesting, to me Steve is the furthest thing from painful airtime. Ive ridden it like 30 times and never been uncomfortable from the airtime
I don't know I've got to disagree I felt I am kwazi was kind of boring I mean yes there's a lot of side to side but apart from a couple inversions I felt it was kind of lackluster to me. It's a good ride but I wouldn't even call it a great ride but that's just me I felt steel Vengeance was the full package in every facet from rolls to air time to everything else. I think it's just become popular for people not to like it
One of my favorite parts of lighting rod when I rode it was the airtime after the launch. This was the year it opened. Goliath by far has the best zero g stall I’ve ridden. It’s very long and it feels like upside down airtime.

Wicked Cyclone is my favorite RMC. It ws VERY slow pre-covid. When they reopened afterwards it did a reverse Lightning Rod and somehow got very fast. To me the whole ride feels like a sped up version of Steel Vengeance's 2nd half. Makes you wonder when people rode it cuz ots either in people's top 5 RMCs or bottom 5 RMCs...generally not in the middle
In any case, out of the RMCs ive ridden. Getting Arie Force 1, Twisted Cyclone, Wildcat's Revenge, Goliath(SFGam) and Lightning Rod in the next couple.months

I rode wicked cyclone in the rain a week or two ago and MAN was it fast. I have only gone to SFNE so I've ridden it many times that was definitely the best ride I've gotten. (an enthusiastic worker timed the ride before mine and he was impressed)
Wicked Cyclone is my home RMC. And I firmly believe that it’s top tier. The ride used to have pacing issues on the third lap, but it was hauling all the way through the last time I rode it.
have you ridden it on a rainy day. It is actually insane how fast it runs on a rainy day that it gives me bruises

Same. its my favorite RMC. Ive only ridden 7 of them but 2 of those were.Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi and I think its better than them both
I'm riding my first RMC in June, and it is none other than Zadra. I am so excited!

My favorite is Zadra and I've ridden Gwazi, SteVe, Untamed, Wildfire and Zadra
I’ve only been on Twisted Colossus and WWFOC so far. Both great rides, but TC definitely takes the cake due to its uniqueness and airtime. I’m looking forward to riding Twisted Timbers next week!

This year, I plan to ride New Texas Giant, Iron Rattler, Wonder Woman GLC, Goliath, ArieForce One, and Twisted Cyclone
I just rode Untamed (my first RMC) in the front, middle and back. The back is amazing. So.much.airtime! The top 3 are on my bucket list.
Unfortunately, I've only ridden 3 RMC's, but they follow the same order as your list.
1. Iron Gwazi
2. Untamed
3. Twisted Colossus

My favorite RMC is Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa followed by Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England, Twisted Cyclone at Six Flags Over Georgia, Goliath at Six Flags Great America and New Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas. This could change as I'll be experiencing Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom and Lightning Rod at Dollywood for the first time this summer.
Great video! I think Lightning Rods new dependability outweighs the old version. It wasn't reliable enough.

I’ve been on all except for three (Twisted Colossus, Wonder Woman at Magic Mountain, Wicked Cyclone) and Lightning Rod is still my favorite. I think people are chasing a ride that never really existed or they never got to ride and it causes some ill will towards the ride. The ride still absolutely hauls and you still get really good airtime the entire ride including the first drop. Just my opinion though.

Very good video. I've been on 17 and plan on completing the ones in the US this year plus getting 2 or 3 international ones. Here are my current rankings. Our ranking are fairly similar less a few obvious ones:
1. Steel Vengeance
2. Iron Gwazi
3. Lightning Rod- I rode it pre 2022 updates. In the older format it was pretty close between this and Steel Vengeance for my overall #1
4. Twisted Timbers
5. Outlaw Run
6. Iron Rattler
7. Storm Chase
8. Twisted Colossus
9. RailBlazer
10. Wonder Woman (SFFT)
11. Stunt Pilot
12. Twisted Cyclone
13. Wicked Cyclone- I feel the last lap pacing was off when I rode it
14. Goliath
15. Wonder Woman (SFMM)
16. Joker- Again it had some pacing issues coming in
17. New Texas Giant-
Zadra and Untamed will fit nicely into that top 6 Alan.

I’ve only ridden 2 : Twisted Cyclone and Iron Gwazi. Both are incredible, but Iron Gwazi’s pace is on another level!

Can't wait till may/june to do california and silverwood (also doing Lagoon and eltich but they don't have an RMC)
I personally have Iron Gwazi as my number 1 and Steel Vengeance as my number 2. I can’t really overlook the insanity of Gwazi’s pacing and intensity, it literally never slows down. SteVe has an unreal layout and is absurd that it exists, but I was really just shocked about its length, everything else was as good as I expected.
it seems popular to say that IG is better than Steve, but almost everyone ive encountered has either not ridden Steve or only caught it once or twice. It's near impossible to top Steve's length and airtime!
Out of what I've ridden...
8. Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster - runs considerably rougher and slower than its CGA clone in my opinion

3. Storm Chaser - I rode this in 2022 as well and though it was excellent, ran stupid fast for me, but I was visiting on a very hot, crowded day.

Definitely riding Twisted Timbers this year, and maybe Stunt Pilot and Wildcat's Revenge so we'll see how those slot in.
Outlaw run is my only RMC. Cool to see you rank it this high. I’m getting my first night rides this summer! Can’t wait. And this ride for sure feels out of control. Feels almost like you’re on a covered wagon. Loved that about it.

Jersey Devil was shut down when I went to Great Adventure.
I've only ridden (in chronological order) Steel Vengeance 10 times in late May 2018; int the back car 8 times and the other two most rear cars once each; Twisted Colossus many more times in Nov. 2019; Jersey Devil on the cusp of May/June 2022 many dozens of times in every row and Goliath at SFGA many times in every row. This is how I rank them: 4: Goliath; 3: Jersey Devil; 2 Twisted Colossus and 1 Steel Vengeance. Having said that: This is the best RMC countdown list I've seen; it's the one I think I'd agree with the most if I'd ridden the RMC coasters you have. Thanks for posting!

My Ranking! (Europe edition)
3. Zadra
Zadra somehow isnt my ride. It is sure fast, but its neither fast or intense enough (for me) to justify the short and somewhat repetitive Layout. And in my opinion the trains dont really fit this Kind of ride. I really like the First drop and the First element tho. But from there on it loses steam:(
2. Untamed
It is Half the Size of Zadra but mad relentless. It packs ejector Air until the very end and offers a variety of floaty inversions. And i really like the theme of the ride. Its just a crazy little thing
1. Wildfire
For me its the perfect ride and my #1 "traditional" Rollercoaster, only beaten by F.L.Y and the Ride to Happiness. The Setting is amazing and compliments the ride alot. The First drop is extra cool since you go up before you fly down. The Stall feels way longer than Zadras since it isnt as flat (and not as fast therefor). The waveturn which offers a view on the Lake is so intense, especially the snap out of it in the backrow. From there on it stays low and fast, with airtime, hangtime and a really fast Last inversion, and also some tight swooping turns... it just has it All. + it never has a Queue. Im a big Fan and cant understand how Zadra seems to overshadow it that much
I’m glad you finally made this video, it’s great to see all of your favorite RMC’s listed in one place. I actually have iron Gwazi as my number one overall coaster, and have the unpopular opinion that twisted colossus is better than steel vengeance. Out of 13 that I have ridden, we otherwise have very similar opinions. I Recently rode Twisted Cyclone for the first time and I am on the fence about it being better than joker. My goal for this year is to finally get my redemption ride on lightning rod, and I would have already ridden.AF1 as I was passing through Georgia on opening day, but it has obviously been delayed, so I will have to return to Atlanta another time. Keep up the great work, I love all of your videos you have really great insights.
The way you describe, twisted timbers is exactly how twisted cyclone felt when I wrote it on a blazing hot day in June. I didn’t feel like it was going very fast, but something about it made it feel like it was trying to murder you with every vertical shift. With how steep it felt the way the drop twisted a little bit, I can only imagine how incredible rattlers is.The only thing holding it back is just how short it is. If it had the length of wicked cyclone, it would probably beat twisted timbers, and maybe untamed.
I was almost too scared to watch this video in fear of being triggered lol. Overall great list and quite similar to how i'd rank the ones I've done. Iron Gwazi, Zadra, Twisted Timbers, Untamed, Iron Rattler would probably be my 1 to 5. I'm still missing Steel Vengeance and have no doubt it'll be a top 3 RMC. After top 5 it gets tricky, but totally agree on Lightning Rod being overrated. They're all so good though. Wonder Woman at SFFT and RailBlazer are both amazing. Twisted Colossus can be a hit or miss but was once my number 2. I can't believe you've not been to SFGAm though. Goliath still has the best zero g stall on any coaster in my opinion. Jersey Devil would probably be my least favourite RMC, yet it's still really good. Storm Chaser I was alone in the queue about to get on when they closed the ride in front of me due to a storm approaching. The irony. My biggest spite so far.
You know, it’s funny. that exact scenario almost happened to me with Storm Chaser. luckily, it reopened just before my departure on the park’s final day of operation last season.
@@CoasterDash yep if it wasn't for Lightning Run being so damn good i'd have been way more upset about it. They closed the park early because it didn't stop raining and i had to drive back to KI for Vortex's last day of operation. The worst part is if KK didn't have a random barrier put up on one of the pathways and I had to backtrack around to get to Storm Chaser, I would have been on the last train that operated that day. I guess I always knew i'd get back there one day anyway, which hopefully will be sometime this year.

My top 3 based on what I have ridden would be
1. Untamed
2. Zadra
3. Iron Rattler
Zadra was amazing with it's speed and pacing but Untamed even though it is smaller is just out of control. Especially at night in the rear. I have close to 100 rides on it. Love!
My favorite is SteVe, it’s also the one I’ve ridden most and of course I’m old and loved MeanSteak, especially it’s short lines. There is just something about riding Steve, on that beloved peninsula with my kids that just hits different for me
Just got here after riding my first coaster, Iron Gwasi amazing!
The only RMC I've ridden is Untamed... But Untamed is now my number 1 coaster! (Followed by Ride to Happiness, Taron and Kondaa)

The Step-up Under Flip isn't unique to Joker, Untamed has it too and I believe one or more RMC coasters do too. Great video though, just wanted to point that out
Untamed’s “step-up under flip” is really just a Zero-G Roll. That is not a step-up under flip, as someone who has ridden it.
@@CoasterDash I think it feels like a Zero-G Roll too, but Walibi Holland advertises it as a "step_up underflip". I think the downwards helix here starts a little bit too late for it to be called a SUUF.

When I went to Discovery Kingdom I was blessed with back seat Joker it really did surprised me I was flown…

Twisted Cyclone ran extremely fast when I got both day and night rides on it during my first visit to SFOG in 5 years.

I honestly don’t get why so many people are saying that jersey devil coaster is underrated. When people talk about underrated RMCs, jersey devil is definitely the one that gets brought up the most. I really liked the ride’s first half, but the ride dies in the second half, and I rode it in 2022 when it was apparently running faster than it did in its debut year. Also, I had a bad rattle on one of my two rides during my day at SFGAdv last year which was very uncomfortable. I really wanted to like jersey devil more, but the rattle and the boring second half really hurt the coaster a lot for me.

The only coaster I've only rode on this is Gwazi and have only ridden it in the back. Also, there is 1 memorable part about the 2nd half on IG, the drop before the break run.

i have never been on an rmc because i dont have any in my state and also when i went to sfog i just rode the georgia cyclone when it was there
I feel that everyone who says that Jersey Devil is a mediocre RMC has only ridden it in 2021 when it was running slower than the kiddy coasters. Now in 2023 it is absolutely hauling to the point where the staff are saying it is running unusually fast. So yeah it still is no where near the best RMC or even Raptor but it definitely isn't the worst RMC either.
As someone who has iron gwazi in my home park and also has been on 9 other rmc’s I don’t see how people give it THAT much praise. I really don’t think it’s as good as many rmc’s.
I agree that Steel Vengeance is better than Iron Gwazi, even if the difference in quality is really close. Both are absolutely amazing rides for sure.
Yeah I will probably always have steel vengeance at my number one RMC. I was really underwhelmed when I rode iron gwazi

It’s me from the future! I rode Lightning Rod 7 times on that Dollywood trip and it’s now my favorite RMC. Pure insanity from start to finish!

The only RMC I’ve ridden is twisted colossus but I’m going to Busch gardens tampa in the summer so I definitely won’t be skipping gwazi
Went to MM one random weekday during fright fest and I rode Twisted like 3 times bc it was a walk on and we got a duel each time it was magical lol
Also had you told early 2000s me that wooden coasters would revolutionize like this I wouldn’t believe you now we have some unheard of elements I love it WATTBA !

I agree with most of this. Vengeance I'd also my number 1 cause it has everything. I hear so many people say gwazi but it's just nowhere near what vengeance is. Gwazi has a lot of side to side and a couple good inversion but that's about it. Personally I have it 3 behind vengeance and arieforce which I rode today. Omg arieforce is amazing and not far behind vengeance
Robin Hood (Untamed) probably had the worst "potential" of the top tier RMC's. Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi had fairly big coasters as blueprint, so there was a lot of potential there. Untamed being one of the smaller RMC's but still being able to play with the big boys may be one, if not the biggest achievement/s for RMC conversions until now. It is possibly the best coaster of it's size, especially if you count out launched coasters. For me personally, RMC's most impressive work yet

Great to finally see that list. I was surprised that you put Steel Vengeance at the #1 spot, I was confidentely thinking Zadra would take the #1 spot for you. But I love it. Espacially what you said about it seems to be cool in the Community if you hate SteeVe. It's my number 1 Coaster overall and I always got trimmed rides. I can only imagine how good it is with the midcourse not hitting. I also conpletely agree on Twisted Timbers.

You're right, I don't agree with Storm Chaser being that low.
I rode Steve after iron Gwazi. I rode SteVe 16 time to give it a fair shake and it's just not that unique. It has some great moments, but the second half just feels like filler with bad pacing. I'm a firm believer that length doesn't mean shit when it come to elements.

I classify PNW as the American states of Oregon, Washington & Idaho. But even if you did include BC, it’d probably beat Coaster since it recently received seatbelts.

I think Storm Chaser is a little bit better than steel vengeance. Now before you dislike this comment, let me explain. I got on Steel Vengeance after it closed due to some rain, and it was running really slow when I got on it so that's why I have Storm Chaser is higher on my list. While Goliath is a powerhouse of a coaster as is, it's just too damn short.

I like your videos but gonna have to disagree about gawzi and steel veng. Gawzi #1 Zadra #2 steel veng #3 but that's my opinion it may have to do with rider seating but if you ride gawzi in the back at night it's crazy start to finish

@@CoasterDash I have Gwazi 1 and Zadra 2, however haven't done Steel Vengeance yet. Zadra is phenomenal, however Gwazi just hits harder in my opinion.
“hits harder” might be an accurate statement. IG is more powerful in my opinion, I just like Zadra’s mix of forces better.
