      Thank you Leslie, I'm glad you found this video useful.
      I'm so happy that you're coming to Scotland, I think you'll have an amazing time!
      My recommendations are Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet. The first two are less than 10 minutes apart in the car and Glenlivet is about 25 minutes away from each. But there's plenty of distilleries in between so you'll be spoilt for choice.

    Nice fly-by of the scotch whisky trail ninh! I actually work in the scotch whisky industry up in speyside, it's ridiculous how packed it is with distilleries up there. Wow, it's funny that you mention that you work for the Whisky Trail - I was planning to come back next week / the week after to complete some of the ones I didn't do.
      I'd love special access to some of these distilleries - do you have any ideas on how to do that?

    • @scottclarke1350
      @scottclarke1350 4 года назад

      @@UltimateBucketList You're welcome, I enjoy the channel!
      It depends what kind of "special access" you want to get. I get special access to them for my job but that's based on the distilleries themselves asking me to come in for specific things to work on, although we do sometimes go just to have a look at things we're interested in learning about!
      The most obvious and sensible way I could think of to do it would just be to call up the distillery (probably just the visitor's centre but if you can directly call the manager try that) in advance and mention your channel (no. of subscribers, how long you've been going, the purpose of your videos etc.) and mention that you want to give the scotch whisky industry and their distillery in particular some exposure on your channel by filming some of the equipment/processes/people. You'll likely have to follow some guidelines with regard to what equipment you use and where and also COVID restrictions will probably make it trickier than normal and may cause some distilleries to just turn you away. I would think you'll have more luck with the smaller, less well known and independently owned distilleries (e.g. ballindalloch, benromach, Glen moray, Glenallachie, Glenfarclas) but try as many as you can since some will be more in favour of it than others.

      In the USA Bourbon is popular with everyone no matter what their sexuality is. Many Scotch and Irish whiskeys use used American Bourbon barrels to age their spirits and of course Sherry Berrels too. Even in Japan Bourbon is popular. A $20 Bourbon in the USA is a $100 in Japan and that in US dollars in Japan. I like Scotch too but it very expensive here and is a rich man's drink here. Although there are some Bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle that can go for as high as $5000. My favorite Bourbons a Wild Turkey 101 ,Knob Creek Small Batch ,Elijah Craig and Evan Williams BiB Bottle in Bond.
