I really appreciate the fact that you could have edited out your indecision with how to assemble this. It gives us a chance to learn about why to move and how not to feel bad if we need to redo something we have planted. This was really important for me to see. A great big thanks for it!!

I found two wash tubs at our main farm. My brother-in- law said they leaked and I said, " Great!". I'm going to plant tomatoes in them and look for more treasures around the barns to repurpose. I'm hoping to find an old wooden wheelbarrow to plant a summer squash in :-) Thanks for this video. It was made a year old and perfect timing!

I love the galvanized look. A great country/agricuItural look without a blue bandana on a duck anywhere :). I recently found mini "tubs/buckets", some with handles, some without, at Hobby Lobby for 50% off--perfect for my succulents at about $2 or less each. Very portable and light--just had to drill a hole in the bottom of each one. Easy!

I did a 3 pot arrangement this year that my Husband just loves! My pots are not as big as yours but they are 3 different sizes. I did a tall galvanized, a medium terracotta and a small basket. All are filled with different flowers, foliage, and some strawberries that the whole family helped pick out. I also did a galvanized arrangement of flowers and creeping jenny that I will absolutely repeat next season I love it so much. Love how yours came out, hoping to get a few bigger galvanized planters by next season!

im getting to see you do the kind of planting that I have always dreamed of doing! It is just so great to watch, I was on the same wagon as you with reds and bright orange in my yards..your plant choices and colour combos are just what I love also .. but.. maybe there are a few more plants in the pot than what can find room to live nice!... I know it’s tough to eliminate such lovely plants. You are creative to the core, love love it all.. your energy is so infectious, but Im thinking its soon time for a rest too!THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER,! thankyou once again for sharing,... it fills that yearning in my soul to go out and play in the dirt too .. my hymn when I used to be able to be out there was so what I felt about it all.. it was”In the garden”.. I come to the garden alone🎶🎵while the dew is still on the roses... and HE talks with me and HE....🎶🎵”....BEST...CHERYL🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

I usually only fill my container part way. I put my plants in , move them around till I like the composition, then I put the soil in around them. I watched them at a nursery do they’re container gardens this way and it made it so much easier. Then I pick up the pot and tap it down on the ground and all the soil settles around the plants. Then I water after I place the pot.

I haven't done container planting in the past, but you've inspired me and I planted a few...so glad I did. I have one in particular that is my show-stopper. It's the Crescent Garden self-watering container planted up to your plant mix from last year that you did along your fence. I see it as I drive away from and to my garage and it brings me so much joy. I have another by my front door that is foliage only...Coleus and Dichondra Silver Falls. Aaron, love the subtle music undertone in this video.

The container is old and already had a rusted-out hole in the center and I've been using it every year and it makes such a beautiful centerpiece in my garden. But I'd like to change it up every year. It has full sun so I think this year I will put your idea for a cana lily from one of your other videos. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

I love abelia! I plan to use them as a low growing fence shrub along the back stretch of my backyard. There are so many pretty varieties of abelia to choose from! They’re supposed to be a very easy shrub. They get 3-4ft high & wide, nice mounding habit w/pretty flowers that attract hummingbirds, bees & butterflies. You might not get many summer flowers since they usually flower best when allowed to grow to potential & it’s getting late in the season. I am very interested to see how this one performs kept/trained as a smaller “spiller” container specimen. You always have such interesting ideas! I would never have thought of using abelia this way. Thanks for sharing your expertise w/us my dear!
