I was there in the summer, it's incredible, like you said video can't do it justice. You can't see the scale of it until you get there! Also the colours, especially in the summer are amazing. Also shout out to the people of Hunza, it's the cleanest place in Pakistan.
During the tour they tell you how the kingdoms were so closely linked to the Xinjiang kingdom in China and how they were married to princesses from Tibet.
I would reccomend everyone to visit this place, it's once in a lifetime and it's amazing.

Thank you so much! I stayed at a couple of different spots. The cheapest place I stayed at was 2000 rupees a night but that was to experience how someone from Pakistan who couldn’t afford a posh hotel would stay in. Off season the was asking between £30/40 per night for a very good hotel with electric clean rooms etc
