One Simple thanks is not enough for this channel. This channel is heaven for me . I generally work as Data scientist but had zero knowledge about data visualization.6 months ago I was replaced in business reporting.I was so frustrated as i did not know about "P" of Power BI.But, this channel rescued me.I learnt many cool things from this channel.I have received two times Employee of the month award, got client appreciation just for this channel. There are many channel on youtube, who uploads power bi video on daily basis, but the main difference is that, Ruth try to show every possible steps from scratch,so that any beginner can easily absorb the concept. Her teaching technique is really awesome. Thanks ruth for your effort.Whenever i stuck in any problem, i scroll down your videos. Now i am able to do advance visualization .So, thanks is not enough for you..I have a request for you Ruth, actually two, 1) Please show how to create bump chart in Power bi (we have seen to create bump chart in Tableau, but its time for power bi and we want to learn from you) and 2)please please upload a video of "when to use which chart ( I got a link on power bi community,(community.powerbi.com/t5/Data-Stories-Gallery/Choose-your-Power-BI-chart/m-p/34319),but we want to see your way).
Thanks once again for your effort and excellent videos.
    greetings ,
    Sayam Nandy

Question, what is a bump chart?
I should do more videos on visualization, i just need to find the time!
Thanks again for an awesome friday comment :)

      Hi Ruth,
Bump Chart is basically used to compare two or more than two dimension against each other..it is generally visualized by line chart.can be very useful by compare Rank of two dimension over month or quarter.I have preliminary made bump chart on Power bi, made lot of make.wish, i could have shared with you.

I did not know Hans had a new book out. That's great news. I watched a couple of years ago a Ted Talk given by Hans on data visualization, and it inspired me to actually shift careers and focus more on data analytics and visualizations. That Ted Talk is the only reason I have been obsessed for quite some time with BI. You should definitely do a couple of series about the book. Hopefully, by that time I would have read it too. Have a nice week end Ruth.

He is that inspirational so I can understand your story.
That book is brilliant so make sure you read it, you are going to love it.
Thanks for sharing your story, he would have been proud to hear it.

I really like your video style. I watch your videos including earlier / rankx /Frequency, your explanation is very clear.
Thanks for your videos let me learn a lot about Power Bi.

Hey Ruth, Excellent video series as always. Could you put the videos in order for the playlist (small thing) and perhaps do a recap video with a larger dataset. Would love to see all of these come together for something like Northwind sales for a particular product ect.
P.S 3rd time going through your video series , amazing work and I'm addicted to your channel.

      Hi Paul,
They are not in order? Is it the DAX Fridays playlist or the statistics playlist? No problem to fix that!
I will add to my list the recap video and thanks a million for supporting the channel!
      /Ruth

Great Ruth.... wonder if Poisson.inv exists?

      No, but maybe this helps?

@@CurbalEN Hi Ruth, I normally do these simulation with a macro in excel to retrieve the targeted level therefore creating a Poisson
. Inv. But one to check if in fact the Poisson distribution on small values of lambda is better described by a logarithmic function...

Hi Ruth, from a statistical point of view I do not agree with your solution. you mix up a theoretical value (the 10% based on the theoretical normal distribution), and the min max of the actual figures. In my opinion you should use the PERCENTILE function. But still compliments to the way you explain..:) greetings Bart

Thanks! Appreciate your comments! I am an amateur statistician so I am always worried when I publish this videos as this is out my comfort zone! But I am learning too with you guys!

Rather interesting what distribution it could be? Looks as kind of inverse Gaussian distribution which explains huge returns from financial assets or probably also large scores in a basketball game, basically those high scores could happen more often than normal - as difference from max - 90% , min and 10% shows www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_67_0/libs/math/doc/html/math_toolkit/dist_ref/dists/inverse_gaussian_dist.html
