I do like this feeling that many of these fine tracks have - that almost indescribable sense of smiling in a minor key...

Which parts of the US?
First heard it pretty consistently when I was on vacation in NY, and now being back in Los Angeles, I hear way more than ever before. NY and LA are culture markets here, which ever way they move, culture/trends tend to sway as well so I'm hoping it's just the beginning of something great for the scene.

This reminds me to the first DNB mix that I heard in 2012 called '' The Journey'' by then, I already had listened to some DNB, mainly Jump up. However, that mix was Liquid, and how funny is it that it began a journey in my life turning DNB into my favourite music genre. And today I stand before this mix, getting the chills remembering old memories, and some book reads that I did, it's just that good, I like every track, so I commend you for putting this together.
That was the first big dnb mix for me too. Liquid always takes me back to memories made with that mix as the backdrop
Still listening to 'The Journey' weekly. One of the best mixes of all time.

Legendary drum & bass singer MC Fats, real name Wildale Spencer, has died
An influential contributor to sound system culture, MC Fats had been a part of British drum & bass since its inception in the 90s. Known for his style of toasting, bustling and singing steeped in jazz and reggae on live sets , he became one of the most important drum and bass vocals. In 2014, he released his debut album, We Gotcha, with Bailey, John B and Alix Perez. Spencer has also had several releases on labels such as V Recordings, Fokuz and Symmetry Recordings.
His most recent record was the single "Natural Way" with Break in November 2022.
