- Severe thunderstorms blast through the New York Metro with dangerous cloud to ground lightning and torrential rains.
Shot Description
Shots 1-3: Intense and very close cloud to ground lightning striking over a row of homes in Middle Village, Queens (real time and slow motion).
Shots 4-5: Ominous storm clouds and a possible Wall Cloud overtake a residential neighborhood in Queens, NY.

I swear this storm was insane! Thunder every 10-20 seconds, close lightning strikes, it was crazy!

I was in this storm, haven’t seen one this bad in an extremely long time.
I was out driving in this storm. I haven't seen a storm like it in 20 years. Lightning crashing every couple minutes, rain pouring down like I never saw in my life, sounded like gravel hitting car roof. Roads were flooded with several inches of water. Driving was VERY tricky...
I was in LBI at the time and saw lightning hitting North Branch NJ 40 miles away as I checked the lightning tracker

I was in Ocean City, MD, when this happened.
In Long Island it was worse, there was an actual tornado.
This storm was so intyense that 3 ppl were struck by lightning.
This was the one three in Queens struck, thought it was July 27th 2018!
Aww, how often are this Storms? Reminds me a bit of S. IL (god I miss the storms) central NY state sucks for storm lovers. They are common is S. IL.
Meanwhile in southern CT, we got nothing AGAIN! NY gets all the good stuff.

Who's the hardest thing I've ever seen in my life in the daytime lightning won't stop flashing my shoes even got wet in the puddle I couldn't see on a highway and almost got hit by a car that's how bad the storm was it was a 30 degree temperature dropped after we also had a severe thunderstorm this exact date is somewhere one last year Deja Vu is history tends to repeat itself rain and hail came down like freaking glass my phone died so I couldn't film it but I got all other good thunderstorm videos please check them out
