France as always, in all sports, are an enigma. They are capable of sublime brilliance, and undisciplined chaos; often within minutes of each other. I love them for this (and I'm English through and through). France on a good day are an incredible, unstoppable force "Vive La France!" 👍

I'd hate to see what they'll be like two years from now. Mind you, the All Blacks have had the wood over the French in World Cups. They've met 8 times in rugby's showpiece tournament. With NZ winning 6 of those encounters and France 2.
France played beautiful, with flair and tempo. It looked like the french of old, the one we like. Very hard to beat a team when they are so hungry for victory. It was a great game.
France are such a dangerous team. Nobody is better at pulling upsets against the best teams, just wish (or not, as an English supporter) that they could do this consistently.

@@api9816 we had a few bad years with many players attracted by other sports.. big guys for example play basketball or handball.. for a few years we have a great organization of the federation that attract again, with new methodologies too. I think in 2 years, we will be ready... but we are french! We can do the best and the worse in the same minute 😂😂 I hope Fidji will do well. Its always a pleasure to watch your team. Don't worry all blacks, you're still the best team in the world, I say it as a french guy. Your team is the dream team of our sport, when you are a young player in the french landside, you dream about the NZ. The all black shirt, the haka, a team from a country from the other side of the world with great and strong culture, some of the best players in the rugby history. Look at those french kids in blue, they have stars in the eyes when they play against the NZ. So your the best team in the history for sure but sometimes something happen and we can have a great game like this, where the magic of the sport operate and the small team beat the Big One. Wich for the all black team the best and we will see each other again in the world cup in France.
Its an old boys club. Its now Fosters turn. Whether he is good enough or not is irrelevant. The coaching, the game strategies, are all in the past. Other countries team Coaches have worked the ABs out. The one thing that is very obvious and was demonstrated by the Irish is "physicality" for 80 minutes. ABs aren't trained to handle that. In fact It came as somewhat of a surprise to Foster - ABs don't have a forward pack that are physically dominate like the Boks. Its not in the ABs culture to be "Thuggishly" dominating.
I believe that what Romain Ntamack makes at 9:50 - 9:57 is an amazing mix of bravery, self-confidence, intelligence, talent, and even genius. This and the rest of the counter attack reminds me the brilliance of some actions made by Les Bleus in the 90's. I thought that French flair was over, especially after many years of crap rugby. Even though France played amazingly well during the first half, the All-Blacks made a spectacular come back in only 20 minutes. Ntamack's action changed the momentum, but the whole game was certainly one of the best rugby games for the last 20 years. Best regards from France
ABs have best finishing - but as we saw in their warm-up matches against Wales and Italy, they're not quite up there with the all-court game. They have two years to figure this out. France have two years to lose it.

Our boys failed to find touch far too much, we really didn’t contest the breakdown enough either, France put in a huge amount of players into the ruck to prevent us getting over the ball. Fozzie has clearly made no effort into training the team into how to deal with rush defence. Time for him to go.
One more loss will be a threepeat. Fozzie can no longer cling to Hansen's coat tails, especially when there's a coach with almost a 100%win rate. From a Filipino migrant to NZ who only learned about rugby by following and loving the ABs for 13 yrs, I can sense 100% that the heart of the team that I used to watch from the tandem of Richie and Dan all the way to Kieran, is just not there at the moment. My migrant root team is the Highlanders and I've witnessed that same warrior's heart in the tandem of the two Smiths. I hope the now ABs can retrieve the same spirit before 2023.

After watching the wallabies Wales game, I was really down on the game and what a bad state it was in with over officiating. Then I watched these highlights and saw the beauty of Rugby again. What a game.
When I think Bernard Laporte kept repeating in every media he was invited to that French flair was a myth that never existed... that slimy mackerel should crawl back under his rock. Mind you maybe his point was that French flair never existed under his helm coaching France for 10 long years of excruciatingly dull rugby. On that I could not agree more. Bravo les bleus, superbe performance. Bravo les clubs qui ont pris le parti de la formation Française.
Ces petits bleus nous ont tellement rempli le cœur de fierté ! Well prepared and inspired. Going for it right from the start and scoring early pushed the blacks under pressure. Probably their loss to Ireland were still in their heads. And even when they were coming back, the French didn't crack, keeping on throwing generous play. That was intense rugby !

Your team is the dream team of our sport, when you are a young player in the french landside, you dream about the NZ. The all black shirt, the haka, a team from a country from the other side of the world with great and strong culture, some of the best players in the rugby history.
Look at those french kids in blue, they have stars in the eyes when they play against the NZ.
So your the best team in the history for sure but sometimes something happen and we can have a great game like this, where the magic of the sport operate and the small team beat the Big One.

Its an old boys club. Its now Fosters turn. Whether he is good enough or not is irrelevant. The coaching, the game strategies, are all in the past. Other countries team Coaches have worked the ABs out. The one thing that is very obvious and was demonstrated by the Irish is "physicality" for 80 minutes. ABs aren't trained to handle that. In fact It came as somewhat of a surprise to Foster - ABs don't have a forward pack that are physically dominate like the Boks. Its not in the ABs culture to be "Thuggishly" dominating.
I believe that what Romain Ntamack makes at 9:50 - 9:57 is an amazing mix of bravery, self-confidence, intelligence, talent, and even genius. This and the rest of the counter attack reminds me the brilliance of some actions made by Les Bleus in the 90's. I thought that French flair was over, especially after many years of crap rugby.
Even though France played amazingly well during the first half, the All-Blacks made a spectacular come back in only 20 minutes.
Ntamack's action changed the momentum, but the whole game was certainly one of the best rugby games for the last 20 years.

ABs have best finishing - but as we saw in their warm-up matches against Wales and Italy, they're not quite up there with the all-court game. They have two years to figure this out. France have two years to lose it.

I love to watch both football and rugby but damn, this is so an other mentality, players and fans are respectful to each other, congratulate each other (I started to watch rugby recently, so yes, this mentality still suprised me). Like, I watched the comments section and there are only positive comments (even though of course there are disapointed fans but still, no insult). Can't wait for the next game

@@mteokay1246 Well, I don't know for sure, but I believe most players of national teams play in a rugby league of their hemisphere. So if different leagues produce different rugby styles, it makes sense to separate between hemispheres.

Our boys failed to find touch far too much, we really didn’t contest the breakdown enough either, France put in a huge amount of players into the ruck to prevent us getting over the ball. Fozzie has clearly made no effort into training the team into how to deal with rush defence. Time for him to go.

From a Filipino migrant to NZ who only learned about rugby by following and loving the ABs for 13 yrs, I can sense 100% that the heart of the team that I used to watch from the tandem of Richie and Dan all the way to Kieran, is just not there at the moment. My migrant root team is the Highlanders and I've witnessed that same warrior's heart in the tandem of the two Smiths.
I hope the now ABs can retrieve the same spirit before 2023.

After watching the wallabies Wales game, I was really down on the game and what a bad state it was in with over officiating.
Then I watched these highlights and saw the beauty of Rugby again. What a game.
When I think Bernard Laporte kept repeating in every media he was invited to that French flair was a myth that never existed... that slimy mackerel should crawl back under his rock.
Mind you maybe his point was that French flair never existed under his helm coaching France for 10 long years of excruciatingly dull rugby. On that I could not agree more. Bravo les bleus, superbe performance. Bravo les clubs qui ont pris le parti de la formation Française.

Well prepared and inspired. Going for it right from the start and scoring early pushed the blacks under pressure. Probably their loss to Ireland were still in their heads. And even when they were coming back, the French didn't crack, keeping on throwing generous play.
