i live in that place, it sometimes feels like hell. problem is that the highway in my country is under a bad condition, so it creates a scary noise.

I’m a city girl who grew up in a neighborhood right by the main highway, I’m not directly next to it but I’m about a two minute walk away maybe less from it and I’ve always slept to the sound of the white noise that spills out over the highway barriers. I’ve always had trouble sleeping over at my grandmas or at a friends because it’s too quiet? I don’t know. I also love hotels probably because of the hotel air conditioning and especially when they’re a hotel in a city. Idk what it is, I just love it so much, even the bright lights at night are relaxing. Makes me drowsy

Reminds me of summer nights at my cousins house. I lived in the middle of the woods so I never heard any cars passing, but when I spent the night at my cousins who lived near a highway it was such a comforting sound. Reminded me I was surrounded by people and not alone. Thank you for this video!

Damn this is the best part of being in the middle of nowhere Albania, we go there to visit cousins and at night its all dark, flat empty terrain with nothing but small houses and fields and the sounds of cars going past in the highway near by, so peaceful!

  • @videobruj

Reminds me of my grandpas house. He lives right next to an overpass of I-85 but because of the way the earth was shaped to support the bridge, looking out the backdoor youd never realize that right past what looks like nothing but woods there was an extremely active motorway. The woods and the embankments also served to dampen the noises of the interstate making the sound of passing trucks just barely noticable if the room was dead quiet. I loved listening for the sounds of the passing vehicles while drifting off to sleep at night. Thank you for recreating it.

Reminds me of staying over at my grandparents home, the soothing sound of a motorway located about 20 or so metres away from the house made me fall asleep easily.

This audio reminds me of when i was younger visiting my auntie's house on the weekends, i wpuld stay in her room and if the window was open, i could hear the traffic of the bypass not too far from her house and its just soothing to hear. Thanks for the upload!

I have to say this is really nice to hear! I go back when I travel with my grandparents to Oregon-in car btw-and this brings me back when im sitting in the car at a pit stop, having all but to hear the cars on the highway, and having the soothing sound of cars to make me sleep.. But since of the virus I never got to have all that :( Im glad I found something to finally get me to sleep, so ty :D

I’m producing a song for my album which was about nostalgia and stuff like that and for the title track i called it “freeway ambience”. this sound is so nostalgic to me. it reminds me of the early 2010s - 2014. my grandmas old house was above a somewhat busy road so we would always hear these exact noises at night and they were always so relaxing to me. specifically on christmas eve right before bed when me and my cousins would play on my grandmas wii . i would hear these noises thru the screen door to the backyard. the sound is so relaxing to me but it also brings me nostalgia and i just reminisce these days

When i was 4 years old, my parents divorced and i went to live with my mom.
Whenever my dad would take me (he lived in another state) and i would sleep at his place, i would listen to the far away highway. Thank you so much for unlocking these Memories.

I love this!! I'm an unrepentant road/highway geek, I love driving on the interstate, listening to the sounds, the blump-BLUMP of the old school concrete. When I was a kid we'd travel between NY and NC several times a year. When we'd stop at the rest areas I'd sit at the table and listen to the traffic. I'm completely weird, and ... that's okay lol.
