Kintaro's sitting on the board is my favorite (laughs).
This place is almost impossible to see with the naked eye because of the terrible reflections.
It's almost impossible to photograph the Momotaro family without polarizing filters.
I'm sure they know exactly where the guests can't see them.
This special Golden Week edition (compilation) will continue for a while longer.

The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on October 18, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011
Momotaro and Genki's first child
Kintaro (second son) born December 19, 2018
The baby gorilla who is an idol.
I use Canon DSLRs for all of my shooting equipment.

I am a 53 year old grown man and I can actually say that I am truly at peace within myself when I watch these guys.
My blood pressure is perfect" my heart rate is right on and it makes me smile again.
I just wish they had a bigger place to roam about with more enrichment for them throughout the day. They are so bored for the most part.

I think we all wish they had a bigger place, but THEY seem to be perfectly happy and they have great keepers that seem to love them, and it's not JUST a job to them.

I've seen this video before, but I didn't notice how expressive Kintaro's facial features are. He has the look that almost talks. Also, noticed how muscular his gluteus maximus has become. It may even rival his father's when Kintaro becomes a full fledged silverback in the not to distant future. Love this family. They bring calm to a troubled world. ❤️😘🥰🦍🦍🦍🦍

Que lindo Kintaro, essa fofura parece estar aprendendo a falar com a mamãe Genki, e nem quer brincar com papai , que parece ficar decepcionado, mas o galhinho parece estar uma delicia. Adoro qdo Kintaro corre de lado e dá uma rodadinha, um charme esse mini gorila. Está cada vez pulando de mais alto, não admira que de vez em quando inche o tornozelo. Está crescendo, já se diverte sozinho, mas como todo bebê sempre por perto da mamãe. Ultimamente Genki não está gostando muito das brincadeiras de Momotaro com Kintaro, ele está pegando forte a medida que Kintaro cresce e eles sabem disso, qdo mamãe aparece o papai e o bebê ficam parados, com o irmão a brincadeira rola melhor, mas mamãe sempre examina o bebê pra ver se não tem ferimentos. Com Momotaro proximidade e admiração, com Gentaro é só lazer e diversão, mas com mamãe Genki é carinho, proteção, aconhego e muito amor envolvido.

I think you do a amazing job at getting the right shots for you videos. I so look forward to watching them. I live each one of them so much. Its a beautiful thing watching them daily. I would give anything to beable to see them in person. Iam knt looking forward to the day when Gentaro will be sent away to start his own family. It makes me sad just thinking of it. They are all so close.i worry how it will affect them. Look how they all got when Dad was sick not long ago. That was so scary and sad. But also so beautiful. Thr love for one another is just breath taking. I have learned alot about true love and family from them. Keep up the beautiful work you do wth filming them. And thank u very much

Gentaro was 8yrs old when he did that head up and down with his mouth wide open laughing that was show entitled gentaro is coming into his own. This little guy's grown up way fast and it's going to get himself into a lot of trouble with his dad when he gets a little older.

Gentaro is a good brother to Kintaro! He is the one who gives more attention to his little brother! Plays with him, not to hurt him! 😍
Not so long ago Kintaro couldn’t take more than a couple steps without his head throwing him off balance and into a tumble.
He is turning out to be a big boy like his brother.
He is simply fascinating to watch. Cant you train him not to eat boogers while the cameras are rolling!? Lol!
It's a good thing that little boy can amuse himself but it's too bad he doesn't have a playmate close to his own age.

I have not seen any of the others beat their chest. I guess being a sign of dominance or aggression, the baby is practicing at being a "leader" or dominant male ape, someday. He seems to be so much more curious about the world around him but I suppose that stops as he gets older and realizes that his world is small and limited to that cage.

Just to be a real bastard you know what I would have done as head of the gorillas at the zoo? I would have waited until Genki went into heat before introducing her to momontaro for the first time. That would have been great to see how they would have reacted to each other.
