- A video that summarizes the summer of Kintaro (1 year old).
It's over 20 minutes over the scheduled hour (lol).
I think this summer was a first for Kintaro to experience a lot of things for the first time.
We would like to warmly watch him grow up with you all.
Videos of the Momotaro family, with a focus on the baby gorillas (kintaro) at the Kyoto City Zoo.
The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on October 18, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011
Momotaro and Genki's first child
Kintaro (second son) born December 19, 2018
The baby gorilla who is an idol.
I use Canon DSLRs for all of my shooting equipment.

There are so many moments in this video that could be used as stop action. There are several scenes of the boys loving on each other. One of my favorites was when they were playing in the hammock. One scene, the way Gentaro was laying made a smaller hammock for Kintaro. Another was when they were on the beam roughhousing and Gentaro was hanging on to Kintaro, who almost fell. It was fortunate that his brother did have a hold on him or he would have fallen.
Many of the scenes of them on the ground chasing each other were hilarious. I find the way Kintaro watches Gentaro eat very funny. It's like he is asking, "Whatcha got. Looks good. Can I have a bit." Then there is always the chase, round and round until one gives up, usually in a wrestling match. It's so awesome how Gentaro is so mild with his kid brother, even though Squirt is biting him, looks like for real. Gentaro never hits Kintaro really. More pushes and shoves than anything. These two really love and care for one another.
The beam walk with Kintaro in the front and Dad Momo in back was a beautiful scene. Baby looks a lot like Dad. Then Dad steps over his son and the positions reverse. Baby is trying to hard to strut like Dad. Kintaro is going to be a formidable silverback, just like Dad.
What awesome scenes of Mom Genki and Kintaro, also. She is always there when Kintaro needs her, whether it be to get a refreshment or a cuddle. She is a great mom to both her boys. Although she is a bit tougher on Gentaro, perhaps because he is needing to learn how to be a great silverback in the near future. She loves and cares for both.
Expressions of how wonderful this gorilla family are, is so hard to do. They really could teach some human families how to treasure the precious moments they have together.
I often wonder what their futures will hold?

I’m sure glad these two boys have one another!!!! It’s so easy to forget how small they were at one time!! But that never stopped them from trying something new or doing something different with something!! Gentaro is so patient and loving toward Kintaro, his best bud!! And Kintaro?? He’s a little stinker always wanting to shake something up!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Evening everyone mummy's cheeky sweet boy kintaro he's a real loving funny mums special Munchkin now the brothers are chasing each other I just love Momtaro,s cool positions when he relaxing so so cool I could watch the brothers all day long because they take the stress out of u during covid 19 .

Little Kintaro is growing up fast. He's gained so much confidence in his climbing abilities. He's lost his two front baby teeth. And he's eating a wider variety of leaves. Of course, when I see him next to daddy Momotaro I realize just how tiny he is still. Looking forward to many more years of watching this gorilla family thrive.

I’ve been watching by him somewhere around seven months and been tickled with him since then. He’s got to be two now as he had his second birthday in late November of2018!
I wish he had a two year old playmate but he certainly plays his own games! What a daily lift he is to me!

¡Que buen hermano es Gentaro!, lindo, hace jugar a su hermanito Kintaro y le complace en todo, le enseña con sus juegos, Kintaro que bebe tan agil se siente feliz y arriba hace mil acrobacias, no se cansa, es el consentido de toda su familia, inclusive pide comida a su asistente y le dan. Momotaro que fuerte y grande es , contempla a sus hijos sobre todo a este bebe travieso, que es mas independiente pero siempre va en busca de su mama Genki. Son tan hermosos. Es una ¡ Maravillosa Familia!
