Well, Hera never would've done something to make him jealous because she was literally not able to cheat. You see, she was the goddess of marriage. Being with another man would've gone against her very nature. That's also why Zeus' cheating hurt her even more. Because as goddess of marriage, cheating was literally the worst one could do to her. It was the antithesis to her very existence.
I dont blame her at all. Centuries of suppressing rage and heartbreak can really break someone. Eventhough Zeus wanted to make amends, he had no idea how to make amends with Hera and how much he has hurt her (mental baggage and all). You can only forgive someone so much until they realised that person's apologies are hollow and so they stop caring anymore. I try not humanize these gods too much because eventhough they have human flaws, their emotions are extremely heightened. More so than humans, which explains their lack of control and lack reasoning at times. Hence why Hera's anger was very excessive throughout the show. It came to the point that Hera was DONE with Zeus. And done with everything else. Still #TeamHera for me!
I do agree. Even if Hera's actions are harsh, her motives are pretty understandable, since she was trying to give Zeus the punishment he deserved for being a dirty cheater who was unfaithful to her for a very long time. And even if Zeus tried to atone for his actions, the damage was done. Basically, for this, it's extremely easy to see why many fans of this show side with Hera over Zeus. And I'm one of them, as in the end, this serves as a good lesson about how cheating is bad, and taking this into account with reality, it's all too relatable. "Blood of Zeus" is esentially "Castlevania (2017)" set in Ancient Greece, and pointing the counterparts, Hela is essentially Dracula. In other words, here's the lesson: if you cheat on your wife for long enough and she decides to take measures against you, you know you messed up badly. And for all this, it's why Hera is my favorite character of this show.
In the myths it was way worst, Zeus was always sleeping if not raping girls and going back on his word. She knew she cannot take out frustrations on Zeus directly since she and other Gods did plan a coup once and locked Zeus away but he managed to escape and take on his revenge on her by dangling her over pit of Chaos.

I liked this show a lot, it didn't represent the Gods as they actually were, but they showed a little of their true intentions from the stories. Hera's rage, Zeus' cheating, the bastard son of Zeus. They did great on that part.

There's no canon representation of Greek mythology. Every ancient poet had their own take on the subject and we only possess fragments of what was song in the past. Maybe a poet sang something just like this and it was simply never put into text.

Most people don't understand Zeus' agenda. They think in very "small" terms. How do you get people to worship you? You could walk around doing miracles... but that's really small potatoes. And Hera did gain power from marrying Zeus, but she was also the Goddess of Air and the Stars of Heaven prior to marrying Zeus. The multiple versions argument is valid but so is the timeline of these versions. Older Greek tales have far more consensus than the later revised versions during Roman times. She wasn’t his likely seventh wife tho but there is a version of him counting his seven wives Hera was more likely his 4 wife after Métis, Themis, and eurynome . Remember in the older myths there is a consistency that is lost by the Roman times. But one thing is for sure all of what I said about Hera is true. See, I never learned Asteria as goddess of the stars, I learned her as the Titaness of Delos, Falling Stars, Prophetic Dreams and Astrology. The Delos thing comes from the myth I learned being that when Zeus pursued her, she eventually transformed herself into an island, and later gave her sister Leto permission to give birth on said island, which Hera could do nothing about because Asteria was more powerful than her. I will say the Seven Wives of Zeus is a rather famous telling, though I didn't learn this version, it mentions Leto as one of his wives. I have spoken to Greek people and it seems that while one particular version is learned in schools, different Greek people seem to believe and have more knowledge of other versions depending on where they're from. I'm not Greek myself, but grew up with Greek mythos. One example is the Athenian belief that Aphrodite could not fight, but I grew up with Aphrodite Enoplia (Armed) and Aphrodite Areia (Warlike), the "Killer of Men", the "Gravedigger", Goddess of War, the Sea, the Harbour, Springtime, Vegetation, Garden Fertility, Love, Lust, Romance, Beauty, Pleasure. I do understand your point about consistency and age, but I think that younger beliefs and ideas are just as valid as even if some deities were worshipped in one way to begin with, that worship can change over time. Contrarily I've always associated Hera with Air, though I'm afraid I don't remember who taught me that. In the older tales they tell you Medusa was already a gorgan that was cursed to stay pregnant by Athena but there’s more to it. You see she had sisters who were also cursed and when you look into their story it paints a different picture that many Greek stories hold a consensus on. They helped Poseidon and Medusa met up in Athena’s temple more than once. And apparently this went on for a while and Poseidon and Medusa were classified as lovers by the sisters that it was welcomed as gods could not just barge into another gods temple without permission (look into her sisters). And then I found out again the rape part came during Roman times not Greek. You will find they tried to change so much of the Greek stuff this is why younger versions are problematic and should never be put over the source material especially when it’s made by a bitter enemy of the Greeks.

I never understood why, in mythology, why Hera never left Zeus. He made it clear, several times, that he thought little of the holy matrimony that was their marriage. She is the god of marriage, and sadly there was no such thing as divorce. And trying to kill him never panned out for her. And since marriage back then was just a way for the greek men to own women, she basically belonged to Zeus. Remember that the greek mythology was written by and for men and they all had some pretty shitty views on the female sex as a whole. There was no chance of her getting a happily after if she killed/ betrayed him and him betraying her was just good story telling. That said considering the high death toll of his bastard demigod children, I don't think men cheating was happily thought of either, just more culturally accepted. That said since she couldn't hurt Zeus directly, she always went after the mistresses and children sired by him. Even though most were victims who could not say no to the king of the gods either. What im expecting from saison 2 is : the olympians are arguing on who's gonna be the next ruler of Olympus then Hera come back at the right moment after she recover and heal from her wounds, she come back to claim to sit on the thrown, her thrown for she is the Queen of the heavens, Queen of the gods, Queen of Olympus, some gods bend the knee but few refuse and think that she were gone too far when she released the giants so she dont deserve to be Queen anymore, then Hades appears to claim the thrown for his own because he's the oldest, he's a male and blablabla, civil war on Olympus, we get to see more of Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis, Persephone, Demeter And the boys (Ares, Apollo, Hermes, Poseidon) are still on the screen but we could see more male gods too. That's what i'd like to see in saison 2

This was the my favorite iteration of Zeus I think ever. Hes alot more understandable and human. He's a bit more tasteful in his philandering more like a sex addict it doesnt excuse it but its just a part of who he is.
The peacock was not added to her iconography until fairly late in the mythic cycle. After all, the birds were not native to Greece and had not been known for as long as Hera has been worshiped there (there's actually some evidence her cult is older than Zeus's in mainland Greece). Her birds were originally native species, like the cuckoo.

I think there is more about it than her hate. Can we just consider the fact that these are gods not humans their law and their world are way much different than human world which means what they consider acceptable won't align with the human morals. I do agree. Even if Hera's actions are harsh, her motives are pretty understandable, since she was trying to give Zeus the punishment he deserved for being a dirty cheater who was unfaithful to her for a very long time. And even if Zeus tried to atone for his actions, the damage was done.
Basically, for this, it's extremely easy to see why many fans of this show side with Hera over Zeus. And I'm one of them, as in the end, this serves as a good lesson about how cheating is bad, and taking this into account with reality, it's all too relatable. "Blood of Zeus" is esentially "Castlevania (2017)" set in Ancient Greece, and pointing the counterparts, Hela is essentially Dracula.
In other words, here's the lesson: if you cheat on your wife for long enough and she decides to take measures against you, you know you messed up badly. And for all this, it's why Hera is my favorite character of this show.
In the myths it was way worst, Zeus was always sleeping if not raping girls and going back on his word. She knew she cannot take out frustrations on Zeus directly since she and other Gods did plan a coup once and locked Zeus away but he managed to escape and take on his revenge on her by dangling her over pit of Chaos.

I liked this show a lot, it didn't represent the Gods as they actually were, but they showed a little of their true intentions from the stories. Hera's rage, Zeus' cheating, the bastard son of Zeus. They did great on that part.

I've seen you comment several times always believing your version is correct, but every myth has multiple versions.
For example, you state several times that Zeus was married twice before Hera, yet some myths regard her as his seventh wife.
You've also called Kronus "Father Time" which is untrue, as that title belongs tot the Primordial God Chronos, distinct from the Titan Kronus.
And Hera did gain power from marrying Zeus, but she was also the Goddess of Air and the Stars of Heaven prior to marrying Zeus.
Plus, some myths depict "the Heavens" and "the Sky" separately, with some beliefs dictating that Hera rules the Heavens while Zeus rules the Sky, which is the version that I learned as a young child, but I'm not ignorant of the other versions as well.

The multiple versions argument is valid but so is the timeline of these versions. Older Greek tales have far more consensus than the later revised versions during Roman times. She wasn’t his likely seventh wife tho but there is a version of him counting his seven wives Hera was more likely his 4 wife after Métis, Themis, and eurynome . Remember in the older myths there is a consistency that is lost by the Roman times. But one thing is for sure all of what I said about Hera is true. Zeus himself wasn’t considered the god of air that belongs to Aeolus. when you look up why she got associated with air and stars you have to look further into that air is because Zeus is lord of the sky’s not specifically because Hera has control over it. It’s honorary and isn’t listed as one of her official positions (I speak a majority not minority) the stars situation is in the story of Heracles who bit her as a baby due to Athena’s prank. The Greek goddess of stars is Asteria. Whenever I’m unsure I ask people to sight the source so I can upgrade my knowledge but I have yet to actually get a answer for that one. See, I never learned Asteria as goddess of the stars, I learned her as the Titaness of Delos, Falling Stars, Prophetic Dreams and Astrology.
The Delos thing comes from the myth I learned being that when Zeus pursued her, she eventually transformed herself into an island, and later gave her sister Leto permission to give birth on said island, which Hera could do nothing about because Asteria was more powerful than her.
I will say the Seven Wives of Zeus is a rather famous telling, though I didn't learn this version, it mentions Leto as one of his wives.
I have spoken to Greek people and it seems that while one particular version is learned in schools, different Greek people seem to believe and have more knowledge of other versions depending on where they're from.
I'm not Greek myself, but grew up with Greek mythos.
One example is the Athenian belief that Aphrodite could not fight, but I grew up with Aphrodite Enoplia (Armed) and Aphrodite Areia (Warlike), the "Killer of Men", the "Gravedigger", Goddess of War, the Sea, the Harbour, Springtime, Vegetation, Garden Fertility, Love, Lust, Romance, Beauty, Pleasure.
I do understand your point about consistency and age, but I think that younger beliefs and ideas are just as valid as even if some deities were worshipped in one way to begin with, that worship can change over time.
I find it interesting that you associate Aeolus with Air, I've only ever known him as the Master/God of the Wind.
Contrarily I've always associated Hera with Air, though I'm afraid I don't remember who taught me that.
I've also always considered the Sky and the Heavens to be completely separate domains, I've never equated them with each other.
Likewise, while I am familiar with the bet that Zeus and Hera made, I'm also familiar with the myth that he raped her and forced her to marry him, and my few Greek friends seem to be more familiar with that version as well, though I haven't had a chance to ask my Greek uni lecturer which version she's more familiar with.

In the older tales they tell you Medusa was already a gorgan that was cursed to stay pregnant by Athena but there’s more to it. You see she had sisters who were also cursed and when you look into their story it paints a different picture that many Greek stories hold a consensus on. They helped Poseidon and Medusa met up in Athena’s temple more than once. And apparently this went on for a while and Poseidon and Medusa were classified as lovers by the sisters that it was welcomed as gods could not just barge into another gods temple without permission (look into her sisters). And then I found out again the rape part came during Roman times not Greek. You will find they tried to change so much of the Greek stuff this is why younger versions are problematic and should never be put over the source material especially when it’s made by a bitter enemy of the Greeks.

I never understood why, in mythology, why Hera never left Zeus.
He made it clear, several times, that he thought little of the holy matrimony that was their marriage.

She is the god of marriage, and sadly there was no such thing as divorce. And trying to kill him never panned out for her. And since marriage back then was just a way for the greek men to own women, she basically belonged to Zeus.
Remember that the greek mythology was written by and for men and they all had some pretty shitty views on the female sex as a whole. There was no chance of her getting a happily after if she killed/ betrayed him and him betraying her was just good story telling. That said considering the high death toll of his bastard demigod children, I don't think men cheating was happily thought of either, just more culturally accepted.

What im expecting from saison 2 is : the olympians are arguing on who's gonna be the next ruler of Olympus then Hera come back at the right moment after she recover and heal from her wounds, she come back to claim to sit on the thrown, her thrown for she is the Queen of the heavens, Queen of the gods, Queen of Olympus, some gods bend the knee but few refuse and think that she were gone too far when she released the giants so she dont deserve to be Queen anymore, then Hades appears to claim the thrown for his own because he's the oldest, he's a male and blablabla, civil war on Olympus, we get to see more of Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis, Persephone, Demeter And the boys (Ares, Apollo, Hermes, Poseidon) are still on the screen but we could see more male gods too. That's what i'd like to see in saison 2

The peacock was not added to her iconography until fairly late in the mythic cycle. After all, the birds were not native to Greece and had not been known for as long as Hera has been worshiped there (there's actually some evidence her cult is older than Zeus's in mainland Greece). Zeus and Hera are complex characters beyond what we can call evil or good but they have shown unclarity in their decision making , spaicly zues although he is kind hearted this kindess of heart is no use for interacting with human world he used his son's to support his decision not allowing them to rethink what he has caused cause if they did it would be more complicated, Hera in the other hand had it in control until her feelings got the best of her similar to zues but what made different and more worthy is that she was ruthless although she shouldn't have been towards the other gods but she shown worthy of her power to earn respect ,if zues wanted to be worthy as well he should have remembered who he is not allowing even his to speak to him in such regurd and showing fear to earn respect across human land .
But I can't blame zues as his feelings of betrayal from his past experience with his father made him hateful towardess power and ruthfulness , he was immature for his actions acting almost like a child , he needed someone to teach him how to break free from his trauma like what he did with his son .
So that's the summary for my opinion

Most people saying he made her life miserable but here’s the thing she was miserable before Zeus. No one wanted to deal with Hera that’s why she was alone before Zeus. She wanted a family but the male gods were like “nah your a headache” even their mom was like “Hera you gotta calm your attitude down” don’t get me wrong Zeus is still Zeus but he was that way BEFORE marrying her. A lot of the female gods definitely did not respect her.
This show was definitely not how Zeus would have took her betrayal. It’s shown that he has no patience for that and quickly let her know she’s both replaceable and unnecessary in his life. The reason she doesn’t leave him is she would lose her status, wouldn’t be queen and wouldn’t be able to marry any other god due to them not wanting to marry her. She should have bonded with those women that Zeus took advantage of and turned them into her worshipers. #teaminnocentbabies
