Why does the synopsis say that lakshmi had a one night stand instead of saying she was raped?
It's actually one night stand in original writing from book.. that night is mutual..

What did I just watch 🤮
I had huge expectation on this story since this is known as "feminism" story and had huge repect to the author.
I get that it is written in 1970s .. but still .. finding the rapist and trying to establish relationship with him🤢 🤮.
Enakku puriyala .. what is the author trying to convey ?
All the rape victims , go find your rapists and live with him ?
What he would tell for the actress Bhavana ?
Also the heroin showed as someone having forward thoughts and she asked her mom .. why she didnt shave her head following her Dad's death .. the next morning mom shaved her head saying "Good things should be from listened from anyone who points it out"
What is a good thing ? So author asks all widows in the world to go shave their head .. so they can be called " Holy river as Ganga" .. what the hell ..
The "man" can spoil many kids as his daughter's age .. because he has an trapped marriage life .. which obviously he wants to stay in for the money sake.
But he is a gentleman in the story as he doesnt touch Ganga even if she asked him. Really ?
Also there is no other justification on why Ganga fell in love with him given all the bad habits he has and the stinky breath .. its because the rape ? I felt do digusted when she asked Srikanth what he is wearing 🤢 and invited him to the home the next day her mom left the house 🤦♀️
This is so toxic story and should not be included in the literature curriculum for upcoming students.
P.S.
I should appreciate the music director to add ketti melam in the bgm when the horrible rape happened. . to convince the audience thats the wedding knot that was given to the girl .. to justify rest of the story .. how cruel 😮
Btw, Laxmi is an amzing actress with unmatched expressions in this movie.. well deserved national award 👏
Actually, that was not a rape, according to the dialogue delivery between them, saying it was not forceful, and Ganga is not denying the same..! 😎
@@hariratnasankar1042It definitely was rape. Ganga has absirbed the idea too much that no one can be her husband, that she cannot marry anyone, she cannot be anyone's wife.
In her head the rape was marriage. Sex is marriage. Once she has been raped she cannot see him in any other form other than that of husband thats why she is quiet.
The director is not convincing the audience. It is custom that sex is marriage.
