- This is a demo of how I use a color waterslide transfer printed on an inkjet printer. I have used this technique to make keychains with logos on them. Just remember that any text must be flipped/mirror image because of how we are adding it to the clay.
Please note: I did not use any spray sealant on these waterslides. I haven't found it necessary if baked right away.

Very nice.
Thanks for sharing.
where do you find the images to use?
I like pixabay.com for free images
Interesting…curious as to why (besides text in this case) the decal is placed on the clay with the adhesive side up when if it were facing down it would adhere directly to the polyclay? Tia!
Hi there. I found the water slides very tricky to slide on the way you are supposed to. This way you don’t have to seal the print onto the water slide and it’s very easy to apply
Looks like a better way to get them to not wrinkle as you remove the backing.
You'd have to remember to reverse the image before printing if it has text on it
Would this work on Air Dry Clay, i'm keen to transfer printed text and images to ADC but am having little success
I have never used air dry clay. I think you might find the ink bleeds into the moist air dry clay. You could try it after it hardens.
Can you use waterslide decals on clay mug cups, the clay has already dried??
The clay has only been baked not set with resin or any sealer spray, can I add the waterslide without doing any of those
I don’t have any experience with these on baked clay but I don’t see why not. Try searching for videos putting waterslides on ceramic mugs
you dont put a sealer spray before applying it to the clay?
No, I think as long as you bake right away the ink will not bleed into the clay
Why is my transfer "wrinkling up" and not sticking- should I use some TLS on the clay first or Bake N Bond?
Hmm, my transfers stick really nicely to the clay. Could it be the clay? I generally use Premo, not Souffle
@@ClayBoxSupplies That may be the problem.. I was using Premo III ..Too soft. Thanks for replying! 👍
Yes!!!! Thank you!!!! I used Permo and it's a lot better! I'm at the learning curve stage 🤣🤣😢
