      @@BodyweightMuscleI saw that you are planning to use free weights. May I ask why?

    • @BodyweightMuscle
      @BodyweightMuscle  3 месяца назад

      @@arikleonidov4934 yes I'll be trying a hybrid approach combining calisthenics with home dumbbell workouts. One reason is just for switching it out a bit. The other is I want to try adding some more weighted hip hinging and lower body work plus some isolation work that is hard to do just with calisthenics. I'm curious to see how it's going to carry over to my calisthenics and if it's going to help or hurt my relative strength!

    • @arikleonidov4934
      @arikleonidov4934 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BodyweightMuscle Why not kettlebells? Relatively heavy kettlebells (KB swings) can be combined with lunges/weighted vest.
      Another option (though limited) is Bullworker/ Isokinator devices that allow isometric/isotonic/isokinetic training. I personally had to switch to this kind of training while recovering from a knee injury.

    You got me into strength training in general with your bodyweight exercise book 6-7 years ago. After going through phases of different kinds of training methods, I find myself now going back to heavily calisthenics-based training because of my current situation & accessibility. Just wanted to say thanks. Keep on keeping on

      Lack of equipment and/or place to train, and also time constraints. I know there are always ways to work around these issues and just get it done.
