- Today's video is all about HAND WRITING!
You guys know how important Hand writing is in Pakistan. Especially for academic success it's a very important skill and necessity. Now a days we expect little kids to start tracing shapes, ABC and lines etc. with a pencil. This is very unfair. Their hand muscles are not fully developed yet.
First you need to build some foundation skills which are PRE-WRITING SKILLS. These skills are require to build kids' smaller muscles (in hands, fingers and wrist). Naturally kids pickup little little things with their fingers, manipulating them, touching them and playing etc. Naturally they are strengthening these muscles. But you can provide such activities to kids to improve these skills.
So to achieve Pre-Writing Skills you need your kids to do PRE-WRITING ACTIVITIES.
Mainly these activities will target to build:
1. Hands & fingers muscles strength
2. Correct Pencil grip
3. Visual Spatial Skills
4. Upper body strength
The biggest benefit of these activities is that you will save your kid from fuss and frustration.
So, what you need to do is, first of all focus on Fine motor skills. Watch my video 10 simple ideas for a baby or a todller.
Today's video is best for ages 3-5.
Following activities are mentioned in the video:
1. Lacing and Threading
/Block letters with holes in them &string
/Cardboard cards (Cardboxes DIY Activities)
/Foam Sheets
/Spider web threading
/Pasta necklaces
/Pipe cleaners and buttons
2. Tongs & Tweezers to transfer objects
3. Pegs
/Tripod grasp
/Prepare Math and literacy activities to use pegs
/Card board cards, stickers and draw lines and write number
/cotton balls, dice, ice cube tray
4. Sand/Salt Tray
/use any medium salt or sand
/copy shapes, lines, easy symbols
/advance to geometric shapes square, rectangle , circle etc.
/use finger or stick
5. Opening Jars
/Such a simple thing to do
/Let them help you open jars or containers in the kitchen
6. Play-Dough
/involves pinch, roll, push, pull
/definitely encourage kids, give them time until they get independent and are confident to play on their own
7. Scissors
/Bilateral coordination Skill developed
/let kid cut freely first
/when experienced, then draw horizontal and vertical lines
/And when kid gets better in cutting lines, encourage kids to cut geometric shapes and you can paste it on a paper to make a house or a train
/you can also make a collage
8. Chalks & Chalkboard
/better to have an upright chalkboard
/else get a smaller one and have it hung on the wall
/or use construction papers
9. Legos
/visual skills by looking at the pictures pattern and follow the direction
10. Upper body Strength
And lastly just let them play...climbing ladders, playing tug of war… crawling games. Let them just be kids. Yeaaah!! So next time when you see your kid playing in the park, running around jumping,climbing, kicking...pulling things. Instead of getting annoyed think that he’s building some really important muscles over there for his future writing skills.

A: I was born in Pakistan but then moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when I was only 9 months old. Have been raised and lived there all my pre-married life.

A: I moved to Sweden after marriage. Lived there for 7 years, then moved back to Saudi Arabia in 2018.
Q: What is your education?
A: I have done a four year honours program in Information Technology and Computing.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Naveed for 7 years. We have two sons - Yahya is 3 and baby Ziyad is 1 year old.
Q: Why are you Homeschooling him?
A: In general, I am not satisfied with the quality of education in schools. But also, our local school's system (we have only one or two international schools in our city) is not satisfactory. We are aiming to homeschool till 6 years of age for now.

I did a mistake that I started my daughter to start write first and I were forcing her to write ABC or 123 and she was irritating and not like to study but now after watching ur videos I stopped all that and started to teach her like u.. Sara plz I want to know that I have to start phonics wid my daughter. So what will be the for each phonic. Daily I have to read all phonics or give a day 2 or 3 to each letter wid pictures. That's she can remember and will not confuse. Plz reply
@@beaahabib808 I started with flash cards 4 times a week. a-z. Quick flash like i've showed in my flash cards video. Try not to rush it. It will take few months.

Oh! I wish I would know more about that! I'm not an expert. I'm just going with my son's age and reading a lot on what is required and expected at his age.
I can only advise you to do the same for your child's age. And above all, remember they are kids, they have so much potential. It's we as a parent who have to be conscious and considerate about how to give them the right guidance. Be more understanding of his situation and zero judgment rule on kids :)

Walaikum Assalam! I haven't bought any books yet for beginner readers. But if you can buy, get BOB books! They are the best. They have 5 sets. Each set has 12 books.

WalaikumAssalam! It's the age. At this age kids are very hyper and aggressive. 2 min of activity is good enough. Etna hi attention span hota es age mey. Probably his reason for throwing things is either he doesn't want to do the activity anymore or it's out of habit. In any case, you have to stay very calm. Just pick your son and take him away and gently but in a strict voice tell him that's not allowed. Remember to use minimum words. Bohat zeada expalin and danntnay ka baccho p koi affect nahi hot!a! And last but not the least, make lots of dua! Hope it helps! Good luck!
P.s By the way it will take time for the aggressive behaviour to go away. Now that Yahya is turning 4 toh hamay kafi sukoon ha. Es sey pehlay toh ufff 😁

WalaikumAssalam! Kids are still very young so focusing on activities should be the priority! Along with arts and logical learning Maths and Literacy are important.
So google Math curriculums for preschoolers. Write down anything you find useful in a notebook or save links in your browser.
Also serach how to teach a child to read...And carefully with time follow the steps.
Make a goal for a year. That by the end of the year your older child should be able to read small sentences phonetically. Similarly he should be confident in counting numbers and number recognition till 100.
The best advice in homeschooling I can give is plan a week ahead. So on weekend sit down, give half and hour to hour to plan the whole week. Setting realistic goals.
Keep googling everything and do something instead of nothing! Sometimes what we do is we take a lot of information in, and then we panic and do nothing haha! So in those panic moments, aim to atleast do little :)

Han bohat garbar ho jati agar baccha ready na jo and hum usay baar baar likhwaey. Mera bara beyta Yahya usay bilkul pasand nahi thi pencil. Uska hath wakaey Dard karta tha. Esi liye usay ma ney bas marker aur white board par likhwaya 80% of the time till he was 6.
My younger one he is 4. Uski fine motor skills naturally Allah ki taraf sy acchi hain. Usay mushkil nahi hoti fine skills practice karnay mey. Woh abhi sy color karta ha aur bohat accha karta ha

@user-hr4rf5zg7y Bilkul! And you know what, now that Yahya is 7. His writing is actually okay. Shok sy bhi likhta aur writing bhi theek. All I did was we practiced on white board till he was 6. And uskay baad I started adding pencil copy work slowly. We increased slowly. And us mey bhi I never asked him to copy from anywhere. I know desi mothers do that. Paragraphs copy karwati. It's just a waste and all you do is you make the child hate school.
Yahya k school mey karwa rahay app sochay ye copying wala kaam. We are soon changing that IA! No more chaapay 😀
