My personal setup is Pterodactyl on HP Compaq Elite 8200 USDT. The machine is really useful for running a server, it uses only around 66 watts of power. It has an Intel Core i5 2400S processor which does pretty well. I've installed 8GB RAM and an SSD and is running Debian 11 Server. Haven't had any issues playing with friends on it and I am running a vanilla server which is not well optimized, planning on switching to Fabric with Lithium and Phosphor mods installed.
I run a 1.20.4 mc server on a Dell Optiplex 760 with 4gb ram and a core 2 quad q8400 it can handle around 4 people at once if they are staying in the same chunks and not genning any and it can handle 2 players generating chunks if I do more than that the server can’t keep up and maxes out ram and I can only dedicated 2 of the 4gb of ram because windows eats 2 eventually I will run it on Linux for better performance
I ran the Minecraft Paper spigot server software on the pentium 4 just like I would run any other Minecraft server. Then I connected to it with my main computer. I no longer own the computer tested in this video. I had it recycled.
I thought that a q6600 or xeon x3320 whould bottleneck but no i chosed the xeon and put in in a tiny fujitsu esprimo temps up to 72 despite being a 95w chip with mx4 paste and 4gb of ram fits perfecly under my desk behind a desk leg but its a bedrock server on windows
depending on what i3 it is, but not powerful gpu wont be a problem since server only really uses cpu for java and is not rendering anything itself, just sending what to render to the clients(players) tho you will need some display output for configuring minecraft. 4 gigs should be enough for 2-5 people depending on what os youre running, what is the ram speed, what minecraft version etc.
Bedrock versions should be better. Was this run on Java? Definitely looks like it. Going to try to run a Bedrock server on the lowest possible hardware and see how it goes. Running the Java version on a Raspberry Pi 4 now, but, Java is poo.

I have a Sandy bridge xeon E5 1660. It handles 6-8 mc servers okay with having 64 GB ram but it draws ALOT of power.

How did you bypass the Minecraft requirements above 16.5? Any tutorial?

Can you play Minecraft 1.19 on i3 4ggis of ram and no graphics card?

@@aqua_cat_ he said no gpu its not playable at all
New sub
It's unreliable to use an pentium 4 as a minecraft server
Maybe it can run an half life server
Ayyy
